What is the best approach to sort this data based on the Team name in 2 reports - One is in Tablix and other in a column bar chart report?

I have a SSRS report with data in below format.

Also, I have a sort parameter @sort and values are (Name, ID, Date)
I want to apply page break whenever @sort=Name. There should be no page break when user selects @sort = ID or Date. Page break should happen only when @sort value = Name
it should be like this...
Page 1:
ID Name Date
1 A null
Page 2:
ID Name Date
2 B 01/01/2012
Page 3:
ID Name Date
3 C 01/02/2013

Running Report:
One of my report has different data types like decimal,percentage and integer values.
When I exported the report to excel , all the values are showing as "general" data type.
How to get excel data type same as ssrs report data type by default when exported to excel?
I want to run SSRS report directly by connecting Excel as a data source. The report runs properly from SSDT, but when it is run from Report manager, some users cannot access the Excel connection and the report execution fails. I am using SSRS 2012 and Excel 2010.I have created the ODBC data connection in SSRS and when I use 'Windows Integrated Security' option for credentials, the connection gets successful. But the problem is that all users does not have permissions to access the Excel inline, but they should get the report working.How can I store the credentials to access the Excel in SSRS with a specific username and password?

In SSRS report genertion using store proc based on years, retrieving the data of previous and current year details. In the middle of data, I have to add sub tax total and sub total amount from previous and current year.
I have added sub total tax and sub total in database for previous and current year totals.

View 3 Replies View RelatedCurrently I'm working on a few SSRS reports which will be exported to CSV.
In some of the fields e.g. "Description" the data can contain carriage return and line feed characters (CR LF). SO when that happens the csv export breaks the line and rest of the data from that fields goes into the net line. This creates a few undesirable line breaks.
I can always replace these characters from that fields.
Is there a way I keep those characters in the field and still my csv export come up fine.
the Dataset in my report doesn't update the fields' values from the database. I refresh the dataset manualy in the SQL Server Business Intelligence Development Studio to see the new values in the report.

I am needing to set up a Data Driven subscription that uses one report, but sends out the specific portion of the report to the appropriate recipients. I have used the information located at URL.... but it doesn't seem to provide all the steps needed to schedule the reports needed. It focuses around setting up the reports to go to shared folder locations. I need something around setting it up to go to email recipients.

I have a SSRS report that uses a custom library. The custom library returns a string values, and I have tested this with a windows application.In the SSRS report. I have set the expression value for a text box as =CodeReportingLibrary.CodeReportingFunctions.GetImage(1232)
However, when i preview the report the text box value shows as #ERROR. When exporting SSRS 2008 R2 report to an csv or excel file not all the rows are being exported. The number of rows is less then 500 and it seems to be a pretty straight forward export.

This works no problem. but.. I want to have the user parameter "Craig" be a parameter passed in from the web app. If it were a regular SQL data source you would put @user in the query. How do you do it with XML text queries?
I have a SSRS 2012 report which have few columns with long text. They appear good when viewed in browser. However, when I export it to excel data is shrinking. How can I avoid the data shrinking in excel.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI have an issue with a data driven subscription under SSRS 2008R2 in which users are emailed a message based on a condition. For the last two months the majority of the users were mailed the message successfully but this month two users failed to get their message. I checked the selected email address in our mail system and they seemed to be correct. But running these two address (unlike the others which ran sucssfully) caused an error and they did not receive their message.
The error in the SSRS log read:

I am using the below expression for hidding the zero data labels in ssrs chart.=IIF(Fields!Name.Value=0,False,True). But this expression is working for some other charts. It is not wrking for only charts. I could not find the solution for that. How to hide the zero values.

I have a scatter chart in SSRS (SQL Server 2012, Visual Studio 2010) that is producing the following:
There are five data points on there, however the result set I am using has 10 rows (a 'Completed Date' of datetime and a 'Lateness' integer whose values can be positive or negative.

I have published SSRS reports to sharepoint and used the Reporting Services Report viewer to present the reports on a Page. Everything works fine for the day, however in the morning, when I go to view the page, I get an error message
The report server cannot process the report. The data source connection information has been deleted. (rsInvalidDataSourceReference)
I need to be able to export a data file as flat file (.txt) with fixed columns for use by Mainframe.
I will be uploaded this file using the Windows File Share Option
Render Format does not have .txt, but does have a data feed option. So I will try that.
But, I do not see an option for fixed column width.
I want to create data driven subscription via Email for SSRS report.
To do so i can add my self either in To or CC.
I don't want multiple mails in my inbox as sent mails have excel as attachment, but I want notification for all the mails sent.
We are showing hovering data in the report. When we hover the pointer of the mouse over cell, it shows the data. But when we export the report in excel, hover functionality is not working in exported report. Finding the solution to ensure hovering should work in the exported excel report.
