In SSRS report I have 2 parameters start date and end date, so when somebody is selecting end date more than a month(if today date is 22 then they are selecting aug 23) then it should give error message to user like "Date out of range".

I have created the matrix report which has dynamic column, it grow columns(18) based on the 'MCU' field in PRD.MI table. I have added the 'MCU'(A,B,C,D,E,F,G,H,...Q) on 'Columns' in matrix table, to create matrix report and I have added 'mcst' on 'Data' in matrix table and I have added the 'msp2' on 'Rows' in matrix table. I have created new column after row and I added USP2DS.Final output is as given below.I need the split the matrix column per page.

I have a QA Deployment Date field that is being returned in a custom report I created. I also found a sample date range parameter:
What I want to accomplish:
I want to select a From and To Date and filter the report to only display the rows that have the QA Deployment Date within the selected range.
For example.. I want to select From Date (8/1/2105) and To Date (8/31/2015) and I only want to return only the results that have a QA Deployment date between that selected range.
My goal is to select values from the same date range for a month on month view to compare values month over month. I've tried using the date trunc function but I'm not sure what the best way to attack this is. My thoughts are I need to somehow select first day of every month + interval 'x days' (but I don't know the syntax).In other words, I want to see

I am using query which I created with CAML.
query is running well and data is coming correctly if I run this on Query designer.and date format must be YYYY-MM-DD.but when I try to run through on run time then the date control is showing format dd/mm/yyyy.
I change the regional settings of windows and SharePoint site to English(United States). and when I select date control it is also putting date in format like "YYYY-MM-DD'. and in that format report is working well in Query designer view.But on run time still it is not working.

what i am trying to do here, and hopefully produce a sql string that would fill my dataset of dates and their representation.
In the dataset, I had put the following expression
=Code.GetStartingMonths()
However, I can't seem to get the parameter to display the dates. shows up as disabled in my report.
Am I doing something wrong here or is there a better way to doing this ?
Additionally, I was wondering whether there is a better SQL code that would achieve the same thing I am doing ?

I tried several functions that are available but didnt work.
I am using the following expression to place the month in the heading of a column.

The expression above gives me the previous month, but I need to have it as "Jan", not "January".

I have another value (start date value). I want date to be displayed below that particular month as i have merged that all cells so its is causing me some problems.
I have got this matrix and I am trying to calculate the average amount of working days in a month. At the moment, I have divided the total number of jobs by 21 for every month which is a hard coded value. However, I am not sure how to retrieve this value dynamically. Is there any formula that can find out the working days?

If I could somehow with SQL tie in all 4 separate datasets and display them as Week 1, 2, 3 and 4 underneath the dataset and selectable.An even simpler solution maybe just understanding how charts work, I can get it so I display the 4 separate weeks in the chart however I can't get the bottom line (Category Group) to display Week 1, 2, 3 and 4.
I'm using Server 2012 R 2 with SQL Server 2012 Reporting Configuration Manager 11.0.5343.0 . The default time values (pTimeframe) for generating the report of my DPM Summary are the default values Day - Week - Month.
How can I define the value "Last 24 hours" for example?! Because the DPM Server does it backups the whole night starting at 08:00pm the day before and the result of the finished Backups of yesterday won't be shown when I use the defaut value "Day".
I want to send a subscription every morning for the backups only of the night before (not the whole week).
Have seen other questions here about modifying date pickers supplied by reports created in BIDS. The answer is usually NO. But this does not involve a format change, simply want to limit say to a specific year.
Any ideas?

"User .......... does not have required permission" is the error message I am getting.
View 6 Replies View RelatedI have written a report visual studio. The report has 10 multi-value parameters that pull data from their individual data sets within the reports. When running the report from within Visual Studio it renders fine. There are no errors reported, only a warning related to a pathname I have use to retrieve image data and display on the report.Deployment of the report is error free.When I view the report I briefly get the "Loading" splash window, but then nothing. None of the headers or static text is displayed. The results window is blank.
The report defaults all the parameter values. In trying to debug the issue I have found by reducing the number of parameter values the report will render. Once I have all the values added, the report does nothing.Below is the query being used for the report. The where clause in the query shows the parameters being used and the syntax.We are running on Windows Server 2008 R2 and SQL Server 2008 R2.

When I go to export option in preview I can see all data coming in one excel sheet, But I am trying to get 2 tables in 2 different pages in Excel when I export.First page of excel comes with first table data with 4 columns and second page of excel comes with second table data with 4 columns .

I would like to display two rows of data for each StaffId one representing the current period and the other all periods to date so the table would look something like below.
StaffId | Non Chargeable Time | Chargeable Time
CJJ | 0:20 | 4:20
| 4:50 | 19:20
JN | 0:05 | 5:30
| 1:30 | 25:30
The above shows two separate StaffId figures the first line for each shows non chargeable and chargeable for the current period and the second line a total of all periods in that year.
I have managed to get the first row to display only figures from the current period by using a filter however it also applies the same filter to the second row in the group. I have also tried to group the rows but am drawing a blank.
I have a SSRS report developed in Visual Studio 2013 and using SQL server 2012. It has a date control based on parameters which works correctly in the development environment. I can select by day AND I can move from date to date by clicking on the month name to be able to move by month or double clicking to be able to move by year.
When the report is deployed to Internet Explorer 11 or Firefox I can only, click back and forward by one day at a time and I can not double click the date control to move by month or double click to move by year. I can type the dates into the parameter box and get the correct result. I have set the compatibility view settings in IE for my server.
I'm wondering how to print a SSRS report without bringing up a report viewer. Is there way to print(PDF format) the SSRS report in the web application( .net ) directly from the "print" button without bringing up a report viewer?
View 2 Replies View RelatedI am trying to develop a report from cube,and it has one drill through report.when i click on sales amount field on main report,then it open the drill through report with details.Here i passed the **(category,subcat,product)parameters(Cascaded)** to drill through report in action part of main report.In my main report i have two columns .
columns are **Level** and **Salesamount**.
Values are like

when i click on 100, parameters are passed & it open the detail report correctly, but when i click on 50,the values for subcat parameter is not getting values in detail report and same as the product also.

How do I get data on my linked report based on my grouped subtotal and grand total from the main report. The subtotal and grand total are calculated columns.

I have linked my report based on the NumbOfAccts column. I am able to get data if I click any of the NumbOfAccts values related to the state I want. However when I am not sure how to make the subtotal and grand total work. I want when I click on the subtotal of either coast, I should be able to see records of that coast e.g., if I select 37 I should be able to see all the records in East Coast. If I click on the Grand Total, I only want data related to those 2 coasts.

I'm having problems navigating from one report to another one if the second report has a multi-valued report parameter. When I navigate to the second report, I don't pass any parameters, but I get an error "parameter is missing a value" for the multi-valued report parameter. I have it setup as allow "multi-value" and "blank value". Any idea what the issue might be?
