Reporting Services :: SSRS Report Shows Incorrect Value In IE?
Aug 7, 2015I have deployed a report in our server. After few days I tried accessing the report in Internet Explorer. It shows old data. Then I verified the .rdl file in BIDS. There it show actual data. So I deleted the Deployed report in Report manager and done the fresh report deployment.But Still it shows wrong / Incorrect data.Then I tried accessing the same Report link through Mozilla Browser.There it shows the perfect value.
All users are accessing the report in IE only. How to fix this issue.
Additional Info: The same link works fine in One of my colleague system (IE). Then I verified his IE version. He was using IE 11.But I'm also using same version.
Then I verified with some other systems. There they found the same issue which I faced. They were also using IE 11.

Oct 21, 2015I have built an SSRS report and fetching my data from an ERP system, previously we have done the same way and the reports are working fine, but only one report which is also working fine but when the values displayed in Preview or Excel, we cannot see values in Excel, when we click on the cell we can see the values in formula bar, but not in the cell. When we select the cell and change the color it will then display the values. In this report many of the values are displayed correctly, but some are not displayed, so every time we need to change the color of entire report. This is causing issues to the end users.

Which processed report message is right? Could there be multiples cuz of subreports? I see a number of errors and exceptions around these same times but do not know how to tie either to a specific report. Is there a way?

How can i get <select a value> for all selections. I referred few links which says only for first select you will get <select a value> ,from second select it just shows dropdown.
If we want <select a value> again then we should go back design part and then preview again. But I don't want. What is the possible way to see <select a value> for every select without going back to design.

Apr 18, 2007I'm trying to deploy a report to Reporting Services, but I've found that there's a behaviour difference Visual Studio and Reporting Services with the Matrix control for the subtotals.
For the background color for the "textbox" on the cells, I've used the folowing expression:
=Iif(Fields!ID__vs_YAGO.Value < 1, "Red"
,Iif(Fields!ID__vs_YAGO.Value < 1.02, "Yellow"
,"GreenYellow"))
The individual cells alternate colors, based on the value in the cell. In Visual Studio, the Subtotal cells also alternate colors (which is correct). But when the report is deployed to Reporting Services, The Subtotal cells have a transparent background. (Incorrect).
If I set the same expression into the background setting for the Subtotal cells, the expression is evaluated once for the entire row and the entire row has the same color (different Subtotal lines will alternate). This is the same in both Visual Studio and Reporting Services.
I'm using SP2, 2005 (32 bit for Reporting Services). To ensure full compatibility, I've editted / deployed the report all on the same machine.
Does anyone know of this problem and how to resolve it?
Additional: In testing the various output formats, it seems to be a bug in the HTML rendering engine. PDF amd TIFF work fine. I believe Excel export uses either part of the HTML rendering engine or pieces of the same code base.
P.S. I'm detecting other reporting differences between Visual Studio and Reporting Services, such as how "null key records" (from Analysis Services) are handled in groups. Is there a compatibility list published somewhere?

My Expression in the data fields inside design mode is:

I am using a Dense rank Function at the dataset level in order to group id column wise. So Fields!Row_num.Value comes from that set.
Earlier it was BLANK values: Please see below for reference.
Tried IsNull on SQL Server already and does not work because there are no NULLs in the data I am retrieving. The empty cells happen when the matrix creates the crosstab report - where there is no data for a column. Everything else works well except the BLANK values being not colored as you see in the screen shot, im using ISNOTHING function to achieve those 0's if NULLS inside the report. But though we have a value inside the cell coming from report it does not colour the entire group.
My requirement is coloring the entire column group irrespective of the NULLs' or Blanks.
Have also tries several functions, but of no use. I am missing with a tiny thing I guess which I am unable to figure out.

I want to change the background color to yellow if the value is less than the previous month. For example for the sales row, February sales is less than January and March sales is less than February so I would want the values (800 and 750) to have a background color of yellow. The columns is grouped by month.I've tried experimenting with the Previous function but I run into the following error message: The BackgroundColor expression for the text box has a scope parameter that is not valid for an aggregate function. The scope parameter must be set to a string constant that is equal to either the name of a containing group, the name of a containing data region, or the name of a dataset.

May 7, 2015I have created a matrix report having "Probability" in Row and "Impact" in Column and "Risk ID" in Data Part .
Now the problem which I am facing is I need to fill matrix with different color value based on combination of Probability and Impact.
I am able to write the expression in "Fill" area of "Risk_ID" text box but the problem is only those text box gets colored which are having Risk-Id value in it like shown below.I want all text box to be colored even if no Risk_Id is there in any text box.

May 27, 2015I have a 2012 report builder chart that has two series (one area chart and one bar chart) combined into one chart. The problem I'm having is the bar chart has much smaller numbers than the area chart and the scaling is messed up.
Is there any way to put the bar chart on the right axis and keep the area chart on the left axis? My goal is to increase the size of the bar chart in relation to the area chart.
Also, is there any way to make the bar chart color red if the number is negative and green if it is positive?

Aug 25, 2015I have data driven subscriptions which are working fine for some subscription and one i have newly developed which is used to send the missing punch report to employeesNow , when the subscription runs it shows that all have gone email in report server but some of they are not getting any email i have tested it on my id to send each ones report to me but i also get sometimes 2 of 15 , 4 of 15 or else but not all i also checked mailroot folder under my server's inetpub there are nothing stucks. How to check why is it not sending email to all employees ?

Aug 6, 2015I have a chart with series that needs conditional colour for three conditions. One condition must be transparent. I have tried the various IFF or SWITCH expressions below and some work fine in SSDT but when I deploy them to the browser the formatting is lost. This simple IFF expression works. The series is transparent as required both in SSDT (Visual Studio BIDS) and IE11 and Firefox browsers but I need two other conditions.
=IIF(Fields!ExhibitionID.Value = -1, "#00ffffff", "Red")
Both of the expressions below work in SSDT (Visual Studio BIDS) as expected but when deployed to the browser none of this formatting is rendered and all series are in blues even the ‘transparent’ series. No red at all.

Mar 28, 2013We are using SSRS 2012. We have a report that conditionally formats a background color for some cells. The report renders properly in a browser and in Excel 2003 format. In Excel format all cells after the first one that meets the condition are highlighted, even if only one cell should.
The sample expression that triggers this condition looks like this:
=IIF(Fields!VIOL_NOTE.Value="Internal","Green","No Color")
All cells after the first one that meets the condition Fields!VIOL_NOTE.Value="Internal" have a green background.

May 15, 2015I am displaying the red line in the beginning of the current week column in the matrix table. But for few resources the red line is missing. For Example in below screenshot, refer the 'Adrian Larkin' resource. Here is the SSRS report border expression which is comparing the [TimeByDay] with the current Week First Monday Date to display the red bar -
=IIf(Fields!TimeByDay.Value = DATEADD("d", -(WeekDay(Today(),2))+1, Today()), "Red", "Black")"
Here is the dataset result set. If you refer the column [TimeByDay], it has no record for the date 11/05/2015 for the Adrian resource as he has no assignment for the date 11-05-2015.display the red missing line red bar using the expression or any other solution.
Reporting Services :: Top N Giving Wrong Values
Jun 5, 2015I using TOP N filter in my report to fetch top 20 Projects as per expense done.
Expression- Project_name
Operator- TOP N
value- 20
However it is not fetching the correct values. It is giving me 20 records but those are not the TOP 20.
It is missing few values from between.
Drill-down Button Shows Wrong Image
Jan 10, 2008I've got a drill-down report in a table. There's a group set to hidden = false, and a textbox set as its toggle. When I view the report, the data in the group displays properly (it's not hidden), but the toggle icon is a "+", when it should be a "-". When I click the toggle, the group is hidden and the toggle icon changes to a "-".
I'm left clicking "+" to get less information and "-" to get more information, it's all backwards!
Has this bug been fixed? Is there a work-around?
Reporting Services 2005 - Showing Wrong Version

I installed RS 2005, SP1 and then the rollup fix 2153 however; if I run http://server/reportserver or view the reportserver log file, it shows version 2047 which is the SP1 version. I have added the tail end of the rollup hotfix log file which shows I have installed it.
Is this a known issue?

Jul 10, 2015SSRS 2012 - VS2010...The report compares two years with a sort order on a value that has been engineered based on text switched to int. When sorting A-Z this is the result in the horizontal axis is: 5th, K, 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th..When sorting Z-A the result in the horizontal axis is:5th, 4th, 3rd, 2nd, 1st, PreK..Z-A is correct but A-Z sorting shows 5th as the start and end. The magnitude of the PreK location is correct but the label is wrong on the A-Z sort order. The sorting is implemented using the Category Group sorting option.

Nov 3, 2015I have an SSRS report that's being built from a stored procedure given 2 variables. The error I'm receiving is
An error has occurred during report processing. (rsProcessingAborted)
Cannot read the next data row for the dataset Sheet2. (rsErrorReadingNextDataRow)
Conversion failed when converting the varchar value '.5' to data type int.
This doesn't make any sense. The variable in question is being stored as a varchar. I don't do any typecasting in the stored procedure. Executing the stored proc in sql server studio works fine. In the query designer I replaced the stored procedure call with just the code for the stored procedure and it works fine as well. Switching it back to call the stored procedure throws the same error.
Our prod server is using 2008, our dev is running 2010, and I have 2013 Visual Studio. It has to do with the version of SSRS. I checked the datatype of the fieldtype and rd:TypeName was System.Int32. Changing it to System.String did nothing. Leaning even more towards the issue being SSRS itself. I even pulled the working version off of prod and it gave me the same error in Visual Studio.
Why is SSRS trying to convert a varchar to an int? It should be a double if anything or just leave it alone and not try typecasting it at all.
