Reporting Services :: Left And Right Align In Same TextBox?

I have an Expression with two different Texts. I would life for the Left part to be Left Aligned and the Right Part be Right Aligned.

Region 2 7
However I can only use spaces and it shows up like this
Region 5
Region2 7
It counts the number of spaces between the first text and second. I want it to be normalized so I figured left and right align. I have tried placeholders but the placeholders only accept 1 align. When i change the second placeholder alignment it also changes the first alignment.

Hi,
Is it possible to insert html into a text control?
I have some records containing html that are saved using a website based on a richText html editor...
How can i send the html to the textbox so that it would render like it is desired?
If by any reason i cannot use html how can i at least specify line breaks and feeds?

We run 2014 enterprise. Can parts of the phrase that goes into a text box be forced to go to designated lines in that box? For instance if I have the phrase aaaaa bbbbb ccccc ddddd going into my text box , can I force a carriage return after each word (eg aaaaa) within the textbox?

Hi everybody!
I've created a report in reporting services and in it i need to have a dynamic textbox.
Let me describe more.I have two reports ,in first report i have manegers' names .After that users see first report and manegers' informations for example their names and saleries , they want to select manegers on base of for example their saleries ,i mean she/he must see informations then decide and select manegers who their employees will be shown in second report ,in this case i need a textbox that the user can write Yes or No in it,and i need multiple select.
After that users select their manegers they can see manegers' employees in second report.
I need a textbox that has two values (Yes and No) and these values must be shown in textbox in preview mode to select by users or user can select Yes or No .
Can anybody help me?

A stays where it is... for some reason. but B doesnt? it moves down according the textboxes to the left (where is says phone) ...

I'm developing an SSRS report using VS2013 Premium with SSDT - BI v12.0.2430.0. SSRS is hosted on a SQL 2014 instance.The underlying database table has a varchar(max) field which stores text and embedded image data from a third-party application. I can extract this text, save it as an html file and open that in a browser. It renders complete with any embedded image.Meanwhile, the report textbox has its Placeholder Properties, Markup type set to HTML. Yet when I run the report, the text is displayed but any embedded image is not.Is there any approach I can take, perhaps transforming the varchar(max) data to another format in the query for my dataset, that can show the text and any embedded image in my report? Or is it that the TextBox control is limited, not unreasonably, to text only? If so, is there another control I could use, perhaps custom or third-party?

I have two charts which are based on their own separate datasets. One chart shows data aggregated by MONTH, the other chart shows data aggregated by WEEK. I have put both of these charts inside a rectangle and set their visibility based on whether or not there is data returned by their respective datasets. This part is working just fine.
However, I have added a tablix to the report, deleted all columns and rows leaving only one remaining row/column so it looks like a textbox. This tablix is sitting on top of the two charts. The problem i'm having is that when both charts return no data and they do not show up in the report, the tablix still remains visible. I need to set the visibility but based on a condition between the two different datasets behind each chart.
Here's what I need: If ONE of the charts returns data, then I need the tablix to be visible. If neither chart returns data, then I need the tablix to be invisible. I'm trying to write an IIF statement comparing the two datasets but I get inscope errors. Isn't it possible to compare values which are contained in two separate datasets in SSRS?
Seems like something like the following logic should work:
IIF(CountRows("Monthly_DataSet") > 0 OR CountRows("Weekly_DataSet") > 0 , FALSE, TRUE)
Obviously the above expression will return syntax errors, but you'll get the point as to how i'm thinking. How can I set the visibility of the tablix based on these two charts?

I have a report which shows up as below,
Product Type - A
Product Name - 1
Product Price - 1
Product Name - 2
Product Price - 2
Product Type - B
Product Name - 1.1
Product Price - 1.1
Product Name - 2.1
Product Price - 2.1
Product Name - 3.1
Product Price - 3.1
Similarly i have different Product types and product names and its prices underneath each product type. As you can see, there might be varied number of products under the product type so i am grouping it on Product type. The issue is when i export the report to pdf or word, when ever we have a big group of Product Type( example: Product Type X and it has 10 different Products under it) along with few other smaller groups, the big group tends to jump on to the next page of word or pdf and leaves a big empty space in the previous page. Any way i can break those big groups and fit as many as we can on the page and the rest should follow onto the next page rather than leaving the previous page with blank space.

I added the row group to show up as the tree view in the left side of the report. But I need it to display the records in the report detail for just that group value for the records when I clicked the group value from the tree view list.
Currently, it‘s not doing that. It takes me to that page where the group value is listed but it lists all other records too (which I don't want).

Hi,
I need to set up tooltip for some images in a reporting service
2005 report. I add some text in image's tooltip property.
However when I move the mouse over the image in the report preview,
it does not show any tooltip. What am I doing wrong?
There is also another property called tooltiplocid.
What is that? when and how should we use it?

I am trying to migrate my reports from SQL server 2000 reporting services 32bit to 2005 64bit. I am following the migration steps that MS specified.
Restored my Reportserver and ReportserverTempDB databases
Then I was using the configure Report services to upgrade these databases but I always end up getting the follwoing exception when I run the upgrade on the "Database Setup" configuration for 'ReportServerTempDB' database

Hi,
I need to add carriage returns into a text box of 3 lines.
The data is pulled from the BD so the "cariage return" symbol need to be in the database field.
I know that some reporting software give the option to add HTML code into textbox but I did'nt find out about ms reporting 2000.

I'm attempting to obtain a cost effective solution for my existing customers to develop reports on their SQL 2000 Server installations using their Reporting Services 2000. With products like Visual Basic.NET 2003 becoming almost impossible to obtain, I have at least one customer who is running into a dead end.
One option possibly is the SQL Express with Advanced Services download, which has Reporting Services. My questions are as follows:
Can the report designer component of SQL Express Reporting Services be configured to connect to an external database (which would happen to be a SQL 2000 database) to establish its datasets?
Does the resultant designed report end up in an RDL file? If the customer published this report via the Reporting Services 2000 Report Manager, would the report be able to run?
Sorry for asking a question like this that I could probably answer on my own, but my customer needed this answer yesterday. I have scoured the web and microsoft sites - and posted a question on the official SQL Reporting Services cateogy ... in an attempt to answer the basic question of how to design reports for Reporting Services 2000 in the absence of Visual Basic.NET 2003 (or other .NET 2003 tools) with no success.

When creating a new disk partition for SQL Server on a SAN (RAID 5) do you use Diskpart with the Align= parm to keep from doing two physical I/O operations for each logical I/O?

I have run into what appears to be a strange bug (or I am expecting too much) in SQL Reporting Services.
I have a field with a dollar amount. If the dollar amount = 0, then the users want "NA" to display. I have this set-up correctly.
I have now found that if the dollar amount is displayed, they want the text box right aligned, and if the "NA" is displayed, then they want the text box to be center aligned.
I put the following expression in the "TextAlign" property setting...

=IIF(Field.value = 0, Center, Right)
Now the IIF function is available in my expression window, and so is "Center" and "Right". But when I try to run the report, I get the error that "Center" is not declared.
So maybe this just is not possible in SQL Reporting Services, but I wanted to check before I told the users "no can do".
BTW, I tried "Left", "Right", and "General" in place of "Center" and got the same error.

I work in a big project and we will begin in using reporting services as the base technique for reports and I will be responsible for this part. but I have a problem I will discuss in the following:
Currently: We use currently devexpress reports and we have 2 languages(Arabic and English). the data in tables saved in two ways (Arabic and English). when the end user change the language of the web site the report data language changed when run it.
Example:

Hi,
I'm using the SSRS report designer within VS2005 and I have a .rdl report that I have placed a background form as an image background. I then have text placed on top of the form, the problem is that everything is aligned within the report designer layout view but when I go to view the report in report preview the text no longer remains vertically aligned within the background form.
This is very frustrating, and almost makes it impossible to marry up a form with report data. Any help would be appreciated.

I have a table PLACE with a character column CODE
[Code] [nchar](4) NULL
I need to left pad the column with 0 if it is less than 4 characters long and extract the first 2 characters on the left into a new column COUNTY_CODE.
How can I do that in transact SQL?
I tried:

And I got 0627. And how do I extract the first 2 characters?

Hi There,
Our DBA has installed reporting services on a server and now in order to access the report manager, one has to be an Admin on that Server. I am guessing that there is a mistake in the configuration of Reporting Services. Usually it should allow anybody who was added to the roles in the properties section of the Report Manager, right? I have also added the users to the DB..
Also I am using Windows Authentication to access Report Catalog items (Reporting Services is installed on Server2) from a web Application(deployed on Server1) and displaying the report using report viewer. For some reason, server1 has to be in an Admin role on Server2 to access the report catalog/report. This is kinda strange for me as I don't want everybody to be an Admin on Server2. Can anybody please point in the right direction?
