but gives me the "Unrecognized identifier" red squiggle.
My FormatString function (in the rdl file) is this:

I have a SSRS report that parses RTF to TXT and displays it in a report.  The report works fine and everything displays correctly.  The subscription email, however, contains a report with errors: Request for the permission of type 'System.Security.Permissions.UIPermission, mscorlib, Version=2.0.0.0, Culture= neutral,PublicKeyToken=b77a5c561934e089' failed.The report contains embedded code as well as references to System.Security and System. Windows. Forms.  I've updated .....Reporting ServicesReportServer ssrvpolicy.config and ....Reporting ServicesReportManager smgrpolicy.config to change permissions to FullTrust.

I copied the dll & dll.config of the class library to the VS2005 private assembllies and the report works
I copied the dll & dd.config to the reportserver bin and gave the assembly full trust by adding the necessary code group
I even added a code group the give the dll.config file full trust as well
Yet on Repost server, the report does not work
Any ideas
I suspect it is a permission problem
Can we call custom code in parent report, which written in the subreport.

Below is code I am using to create a heatmap in SSRS. THe code seems to be working well except for one glitch. Sometimes numbers in the "middle of the pack" are white. Obviously they should be one the of colors listed below. Why numbers would be white when I declared only white for IsNothing.Â

I am creating a SSRS report which would be executed by User manually through ReportServer URL.User would be generating the SSRS report for different Customer ID based on ad-hoc basis.
I am passing CustomerID as input parameter to the report. Is there any way to get the manually generated SSRS report name as 'Report_CustomerID_TodayDate.xls'.
E.g.If User is generating report for Customer ID 123 today then report name should be 'Report_123_07092013.xls'
I am using a Report Viewer on a web page and I'm not sure how to set up the ReportPath.
The URL.... I don't have any permission on the ReportServer database itself. How can I determine the correct path?
I came across a SQL 2000 instance with a report server database on it - looking at the execution log storage I can see that its still being used and running the following query tells me that the connections are coming from the same server: SELECT hostname, * FROM sysprocesses WHERE dbid = DB_ID ('ReportServer') but I cant find the SSRS instance in the services -Did it work differently with SQL 2000? How can I find the report manager URL?
View 3 Replies View RelatedI'm trying to add a custom report format to ssrs 2005 as per this [URL] I've added the code snippets in the example to three different ssrs 2005 server RSReportServer.config files but it does not work i.e do not show up in the export drop down when rendering report.
I've tried starting and stopping reporting services and it still does not works.
I've also modified the existing csv extension  with different options to see if it works but to no avail.However it works with SSRS2008 R2 . In fact it works right after I saved the config file, no restart needed.For SSRS2005 the file is in C:Program FilesMicrosoft SQL ServerMSSQL.3Reporting ServicesReportServer. I have SCCM 2012 R2. I'm working on a custom report, using MS SQL Server Report Builder. I have other custom reports that work fine....they prompt for a collection and return results just on that one collection. The problem with the one I'm working on now is that it runs fine except for that....it prompts for a collection, lets you choose one collection,returns the desired info on each line, but it returns all systems, not just the one collection you selected. IOW, I'm having trouble getting the "where" clause to work right.
Here is the code for a report that works (it returns the selected collection and counts the patches needed by each machine):

We are displaying an SQL Server 2005 Reporting Services report in our ASP.NET 1.1 application by accessing the report through URL and embedding the same in an iframe HTML web control. The user can export the report contents into CSV format by making use of the export functionality provided by Reporting Services.
Now we have been asked to display a warning mesage to the user when the no. of records in the report exceeds 1 million i.e. if the no. of records in the report exceeds 1 million and the user tries to export the report to CSV format by clicking on the "Exprot" link button, we need to display a warning message to the user.
My doubt is whether this can be done in Reporting Services. Are there any programmatic interfaces exposed by Reporting Services which might help us implement this requirement ?

I'm calling this code in a Report Parameter like below:

It is working fine for the first record where as for other records, the value is not getting changed. i.e. the first records value is coming repeatedly for all other records also.
How can I dynamically change the parameter values of the function?
Parameter is not accepting directly the field names, hence I used other parameter to initialize the field and used that parameter for this.
Ex. Parameter Name ; FieldPurchDate (internal) FieldName : PURCHDATE
Other parameter: FieldInDate (internal) FieldName : InDate
While initializing the new parameter CalcPurchDate,, I used an expression for this: Parameters!CalcFiscalAge.Value
=iif(Parameters!FieldPurchDate.Value is nothing, Parameters!FieldInDate.Value,Parameters!FieldPurchDate.Value)
and using this CalcPurchDate for processing of the parameter:

I cannot find the Report Builder download link for SQL Server 2012 SP2 x64 Express Advanced Services on Windows 10 Pro.
Shouldn't the Report Builder link be for SQL Server 2012 SP2 and x64 bit in order to work with SQL Server 2012 SP2 x64 Express Advanced Services on Windows 10 Pro 64 bit?The only Report Builder 3.0 links I have found have been x86 (32 bit) and SP1.

I€™ve tried everything that I can think of on the server to make this work.
I finally put together a Win 2003 box with SQL 2005, IIS, and RS 2005 running on it in a virtual machine to be 100% sure I had a standard clean install and deployed the report and I€™m getting the same error.
Below I€™ve included a basic standalone RDL file that demonstrates my issue. I get the error referenced above when I deploy the RDL below. Any ideas or suggestions are greatly appreciated?

I have created a custom library(CodeLibrary) which internally references the dlls Microsoft.TeamFoundation.Client and Microsoft.TeamFoundation.WorkItemTracking.Client.
I added this custom Dll codelibrary.dll to my SSRS report. and the expression of one of the field asÂ

codefunction is the class and GetValue is the method.
When I preview the report, I get the error "Error while loading code module:

Actually, I have several more parameters but I've checked the collection and all the parameters I want are there and have values. Their names match those found in executionInfo.Parameters. But when I run my code I get the following error on Render():

I've double-checked and my parameter array does have the problematic parameter, I passed it a value but when I check executionInfo.Parameters I see that it's the only parameter that hasn't been give a default value after calling SetExecutionParameters(). So my parameters do seem to be passed but one seems to refuse getting a value. If I comment out the SetExecutionParameters() line I get, as expected a similar error but on another parameter (first one in the executionInfo.Parameters collection). So I'm left to beleive that the SetExecutionParameters() has some kind of bug as it works for all but one parameter. I've checked casing, spelling, tried passing phony parameters and from what I've seen I should be getting an error when I pass the parameters if I got something wrong.
Any help would be much appreciated.
I developed a main report containing numerous subreports. But now I'm trying to page break on these subreports and because these subreports all have sub-sub reports, I get this error when I try to run this report..The value '22' is invalid. Valid values are between '0' and '1'. (rrRenderingError)..I am grouping on uniqueidentifers and I do not get errors on subreports that have sub-subreports. How can I avoid this error and get these subreports to page break? (I don't get any errors if I remove the page breaks).

For a week now, I have been reading every fix I can find for the infamous Reporting Services error(s) and none of the fixes have worked for me. I have checked permissions and memberships of the reporting services groups, removed xmlns as mentioned, made sure that the Classic App Pool was being used, started, stopped, reinstalled, made sure the RSWebApplication.config had the URL or not, either way nothing is working for me.
Is there some place where all of the various fixes are consolidated? Can anyone help me? I'm dying over here. It worked on a previous image and I rebuilt it and can't get it to work. I have SQL 2005 sp2 on Vista...all of the IIS requirements are met and the RS configuration utility reports that everything is fine.
