Reporting Services :: SSRS 2015 Bar Chart Labels Displaying Over Bar And Not On Top
Sep 8, 2015
Some labels such as 33314 are displaying over the columns. I need all labels to display at the top. How can I fix this without changing the size of the chart?
What is the best optimised options to display the date labels with bi-weekly intervals starting date Date from one month to three months future from the current date?
As per above requirements, I have built the below line graph query and graph, currently it only displays the date labels as per data but I need to display date labels with bi-weekly intervals starting date from one month to three months future from the current date. Also another issue found, if there are few more date labels then does not show all labels on horizontal axis.
Select /* Set Week End date as Sunday */ DATEADD(DAY, 7 - DATEPART(WEEKDAY, t.TaskBaseline0FinishDate), CAST(t.TaskBaseline0FinishDate +1 AS DATE)) as[WeekEnd] ,count(t.TaskBaseline0FinishDate) as Baseline ,count(t.TaskFinishDate) as Finish
I am using the below expression for hidding the zero data labels in ssrs chart.=IIF(Fields!Name.Value=0,False,True). But this expression is working for some other charts. It is not wrking for only charts. I could not find the solution for that. How to hide the zero values.
Data lables in ssrs reports are getting overlapped in stacked chart. Since it is satcked chart i can't place labels outside the bar.Due to this it is not visible clearly. how to avoid this issue?
Is it possible to have the value labels always on top of the bars of a bar chart?
On the Chart Series Labels properties under Appearance, I used Top for Position, but if the bar reaches the top of the chart area (and that is determined automaticaly by the Y Axis that and can't be a fixed value).
I am counting order type by a field which can have 3 different values. In a stacked column chart I am displaying the count of those different values, and showing a data label with the count for each order type. See screenshot.
Now I would like to show a line based on the total of each order type. I can see that SSRS already know the number of each order type as it is shown in the labels.
How do I add those numbers (shown in the labels) together and get it into a Total field? I would prefer not to alter my SQL query, if possible.
I developed a rdlc report. I have a graph chart. Sometimes the value of a label can =0. If the value =0 I want to hide the labelname. However, I also have dummy values =0. This is so that I can have spaces between the bars. The dummy values labels isn't shown in the graph. This works great. I need to add to the expression that if the name of the label isn't dummy but the value =0 to hide the labelname.
The data from sql: Expression in graph under chart data->category groups->category group properties->label: =Microsoft.VisualBasic.Interaction.SWITCH(Fields!LabelName.Value = "aTotalForRetire", "Retirement", Fields!LabelName.Value = "cTotalForRelatives", "Relatives", Fields!LabelName.Value = "eTotalForDisability", "Disability")
The result is below. I want to hide the label relatives as in this example the value=0. It will not always be the case. How can I do that?
I am producing a report in Report Builder 2 containing a chart and table. The user is able to select single or multiple choices on a parameter called Specialty. My present chart is only suitable when one Specialty is selected. Therefore I only want this to be visible when the user has selected one Specialty. I am planning to create a second chart which is suitable for than more than one selection. So if the user selects more than one Specialty the existing chart will not be visible and instead will be replaced by the second.I think this should be done using Chart Properties>Visibility but cannot develop the logic of the expression.
I am using SQL Server 2005 and SSRS 2005, and I am trying to display a PDF (image datatype, application/pdf filetype) from a SQL Database. There is no MIME option for PDF, so it seems my options are limited. Is there a way to display the PDF, or maybe convert the binary data at the database level?
I have a Pie Chart report that works well until Users discovered that when values are 0% or less across the chart, the Legend returns NaN. How do I format the Legend to return 0% instead of the NaN that Users do not want to see. Below is my express for the Legend Property="#AXISLABEL" & " - " & "#PERCENT{P0}".
Indicators are not displaying when I deployed the report in report server and access that report using browser. I have checked this in both Internet Explorer and Google Chrome browsers.
Current Version Of SQL SERVER is : SQL Server 2014 (SP1 + Cumulative update package 1 for SQL Server 2014 SP1) has been installed.
But in development environment (SQL SERVER Data Tools for Visual Studio 2012 ) these indicators are displaying properly using Preview section.
I have written a sql query which gives me data in report in below format..Need to display data in following format
Client data row has nothing to do with address data row Client are just a distinct list of Client and do not line up with any address . In other words, the order and vertical alignment have nothing to do with the address on the right.
In my Chart I have to keep the angel of the category field fix to 90 degree. When I do this the format of the Label does not look quite right.
I expect Below : I can work Out dd and mm positions ..what I am concerned about the date direction because of which its not quite readable. I have tried many format in label format but it is not giving expected result.
When I place an image WITHIN a chart, it appears in the correct location in DESIGN mode, however, when I preview it, my chart renders...and then the image renders NEXT TO the chart. I can't get the image to display WITHIN the chart area.
I have database fields that contain RTF text. If I use the default Textbox in SSRS 2008 Report Designer, I get all the RTF formating characters, which makes for a VERY ugly report. Is there another control I can place on my report that will take the RTF formated text and display it properly? I can do this in Crystal Reports, but I'm converting to SSRS 2008 so I need to be able to handle RTF formated text.
I have this issues with empty points in a Line Chart. How to make it work with dynamic values in the series and some dates in the category, how to join the "data" values for a "series"where there are no category value. So far I cannot see any fix that would make it work by joining the data points with the "average" data on a empty point (no category value) and with the same color on the line.
I have created an SSRS report containing a bar chart. The Y-axis contains some application names which are displayed based on a certain criteria. Hence sometimes there are only 2 values in y-axis while sometimes it may range upto 20 items. I have tried a lot but have been unsuccessful in getting a dynamic y-axis which changes with the number of items present.
When i change my managed pipeline mode to integrated mode for my web application, the ssrs reports with images in it are not loading. It is showing as cross mark. However it works in classic mode.
In a bar chart, we are using the LargeCheckerBoard as the pattern style in series properties > fill. It is showing correctly on the browser but if we export to PDF, this style(checks) are getting small and different from what shown on the browser.
A customer would like to show speech bubbles with a short text above some bars in a bar chart (similar to the image shown below). Is this possible with SSRS?
We developed some of the chart reports. It is working fine when we preview the reports in the solution itself. After deployment to reportserver, when we access the same report, It is showing empty rectangle box (border of chart body). We have already checked data source/ Dataset mapping for the report.
I have a report in which I have assigned custom colors with a function to one of my stacked column charts. When I run it in the report builder, the colors are correctly placed, but as soon as I upload the report to the server and view the report from there, the colors get swapped. I have these custom colors applied to other stacked column charts in the report and they work perfectly fine. The only difference between this chart and my other charts is that it contains two category groups.
EDIT: Alright, I have gotten it to display the correct colors by using a function with the colors I wanted in reverse. I have two values, "Upcoming" which is displayed in red, and "Outstanding" which is displayed in blue. If the chart has only upcoming values, it will display in blue rather than red, whereas if I have upcoming and outstanding values, they will display in their correct colors. why this is occurring?
I have created a ssrs report using ssrs-2012 that contains 2 tables 2 pie charts and 1 line chart. But I am unable to see 2 pie charts and and 1 line chart after deploying the rdl in sharepoint server.
Why I am not able to see those charts, or sharepoint server will not support charts at all.
I have a scatter chart in SSRS (SQL Server 2012, Visual Studio 2010) that is producing the following:
There are five data points on there, however the result set I am using has 10 rows (a 'Completed Date' of datetime and a 'Lateness' integer whose values can be positive or negative.
This is the Dataset and the results it produces:
SELECT DISTINCT TOP 10 a.ACTIVITY_NAME As [Activity Name] , ad.COMPLETED_DATE As [Completed Date] , ad.DAYS_LATE As [Lateness] FROM ACTIVITIES a JOIN ACTIVITY_DATA ad ON ad.ACTIVITY_ID = a.ACTIVITY_ID
[code]....
How can I tell SSRS to show every data point in my chart?
The above chart has three Values in it (slightly late in pink, rather late in hot pink and very late in red). Because of the ordering of these values the red very late values can't be seen. When I shuffle the order around slightly they are indeed there:
...This report runs dynamically for one of a number of activities the user can select, as such I have no way of knowing which of these series will be at the lower end of the scale and which will be at the higher end. Is it possible to set the Values/Series to be transparent so I can be assured that all will be visible to the user at runtime?
I have a chart with series that needs conditional colour for three conditions. One condition must be transparent. I have tried the various IFF or SWITCH expressions below and some work fine in SSDT but when I deploy them to the browser the formatting is lost. This simple IFF expression works. The series is transparent as required both in SSDT (Visual Studio BIDS) and IE11 and Firefox browsers but I need two other conditions.
Both of the expressions below work in SSDT (Visual Studio BIDS) as expected but when deployed to the browser none of this formatting is rendered and all series are in blues even the ‘transparent’ series. No red at all.
I have tried deleting various files RDL and DATA. I have tried uploading the file from report manager in IE and I have tried editing the file in report manager.
