We have the following requirement :
1. In daily basis auto loop through each item in the invoice table.
2. passing invoice number into a Summary SSRS report as parameter.
3. Auto download ALL generated PDF reports into a window folder with a special file name format i.e. <INVOICE_NO>_<DATE>.pdf
how to achieve this via SSRS, Store Procedure or Power Shell?
When I go to Save As Report it doesn't allow me to create a new directory (folder)
Here is where the directory (folder) needs to be created: gdgdb01preportserverProduction.
Where can I create this directory (folder)?
Can we do the auto hide of parameter window in ssrs as soon as user select the input and click on view report and once the data comes, that parameter window should hide automatically.

I am trying to create a basic report in SSRS, with 6 columns but then we receive an excel spreadsheet with different account numbers daily and I am requested to create a report based on those account numbers. so how can I create a shared folder for the users to drop their excel spreadsheet there and make my SSRS only filter the result set based only on those account numbers?

I have 6 SSRS reports for account receivable module. All of these 6 reports are for one specific business requirement. The difference between these reports are layout, number of columns and styles. I want user to choose one from these 6 reports based on their requirement.
When user clicks the menu in their application to initiate the report, Is there any way that the SSRS show list of these reports in a window so that user can choose one of them?
As I am working on a 3rd party ERP application, I cannot provide a form or window in that ERP to choose one report out of these 6 reports. I believe that there is a way to do this in Crystal report, but do not know how to do this in SSRS.
Is it possible to make an SSRS report print to pdf and save itself automatically every time that report is run. Basically the user won't notice anything different, but on the back end a pdf is saved to a network location?
View 3 Replies View RelatedThere's a new SSRS 2012 environment which was setup with My Reports folder to each user enabled. I know I'm supposed to see a Users Folder in the Report Manager root, I'm setup as a system administrator (under Site Settings) and also have content manager rights in the root directory and I still don't see the "Users Folders" ...the only way I can see that is if they give me admin rights in the server SSRS is installed. What am I missing here, is this supposed to be like that?

The problem is these links are not the only things present in the record, and there is other data present. I keep seeing examples where they are considering only a link to be present in the record with no other data.
Also the data in the record includes HTML tags and I checked the option that says "HTML - Interpret HTML tags as styles" on the placeholder properties window.

When I move this into SSRS and use the DateTime custom function it shows the the Date/Time correctly if there is a time element. However it's defaulting the 00:00:00.000 to 12:00:00 PM which is incorrect.
I would like the SSRS to show as Format dd/MM/yyyy hh:mm but still show the 00:00 element.

But if I navigate to the path of the rdl's there are many more present that should be visible through Report Viewer. The client was recently upgraded, and I seem to have all out of box roles and permission levels yet can only see some of those reports, as if some were manually copied to this folder location at a later point and perhaps some user job needs to be run to reflect import those additional rdl's?

How to achieve by using SSRS. How we can "quick run" report within the subscription menu to ensure report was set up correctly during creation. Is there any way to generate sample subscriped report without waiting for scheduled time.
I mean whether we can verify the report parameters & data in generated the report. I have verified SSRS report manager .i cant see any button or option to test run the report in subscription feature.
Basically i have 3 images capacity per record in my asp.net application. In there i am saving the image path with record id in database and image in my application folder.
Now i am creating SSRS Report in Report builder . In there i have taken one image control to show the images. In the Image properties in report builder i have chosen database under the select the image source field. then inside use this field i have chosen image url and in use this MIME Type i have selected image/jpeg. Now i have saved this report in report server folder.
Now while calling in .net web from through report viewer control. It is opening the report but wont showing the image.

View 5 Replies View RelatedI'm building a report that has a column in the table called countries of origin, that column can contain data like "USA","China" ( normal countries) but some rows can also contain "USA, China, Australia" ( multiple counties in one row).
I'm trying to build a filter to filter my results :
-I have a data set created with a list of all world countries
-I've Build a Parameter containing a drop down list with all countries
--- My problem is when I want to create the filter in my main data set , I can so it , but when I search for example for "USA" , I don't get the lines where there are multiple countries and "USA" is one of them...
There must be an expression in the filter that will be able to search through all the values in the string and return me my correct results.

Report generating 50 student details with 50 page (each student one page- group by student).
now data will export one pdf file with 50 page where each page having one student details.

instead of one single pdf with 50 page i want 50 pdf file so i can send each report to respective student.

In my ssrs report i have 18 columns :
jan|feb|mar|apr|may|jun|july|aug|sep|oct|nov|dec|jan|feb|mar|apr|my|jun
The first six months will be displayed in each case.
But when i choose 6 months i just want to display first six months only.when i choose 12 months i want to be displayed first 12 months columns only and for 18 months all the columns,.
I Have an SSRS report which shows questions and answers pulled from a view tables.I have 3 rows: Row 1 shows questions and answers 1 - 128, row 2 shows questions and answers 128 to 248 and row 3 shows 248 onwards.I only want the row with the correct questions and answers to show.So am using this query for example:

I have a report with 2 tablixes, both the tablixes can be hidden based on the parameter selection. The 1st tablix has a drill through action on one of the columns, that calls the 2nd tablix in the SAME report. Once you click on the drill through, the 1st tablix is no longer visible, only the 2nd one is.
The report is working fine, until you export it to CSV file. Once you are on the 2nd tablix (1st one is NOT visible at this time in the report), and then when you export it to CSV, BOTH, the 1st tablix as well as 2nd tablix are visible in the CSV file. Why does the 1st tablix come up in CSV IF you just exported 2nd tablix to CSV?
Is there a workaround to NOT show the parent/1st tablix at all if the 2nd tablix is exported? Excel works fine!I know sub-reports instead of multiple tablixes might solve this issue.

I am creating a SSRS report using a SSAS cube as it data source. The user would like to select multiple values from a reporting parameter that is then used as a filter on the MDX statement. I am bale to have the report work successfully when only one value is selected but not when multiple values are selected; the report uses only the first value from the reporting parameter when it contains multiple values. How do I filter an MDX query using a SSRS report parameter with multiple values?
