View 2 RepliesIn one of my datasets, my field "Team" is a SharePoint choice column that is a checkbox, so multiple entries are in it. In my Parameter, I have it as a multiple-value, and I'm specifying the values directly in both available and default.For my filter, I have [Team] IN [@Team], which is where the problem comes in. It will only filter the results of entries that only have ONE listed in Team.
For example: One entry has "Building" in Team column which SSRS is displaying. But it will NOT display entries where "Building" and "Clerks" are displayed. I believe this is because SSRS sees this as 1 line of text, so it does not just see"Building" but "Building" and "Clerks" so it will omit it.I've tried to have my parameter set to "Get values from a query" but the problem there is the drop-down is too confusing since it interprets it as "Building" and then "Building, Clerks", and then "Building, Clerks, Economic Development' as another drop down, which defeats the purpose of the filter.
how I can get SSRS to show ALL entries that contain "Building" when I choose "Building" as a drop-down choice in my parameter? Instead of only showing ones that is Building only and dismissing other teams?
I am getting extra column while exporting SSRS report into excel but those columns not in my report. How to avoid these columns please find the attached screen shot with red circle.

I have a report with fiive columns, I have implemented interactive column sorting on the report. I have added a group to the report based on Column 2 and there is a page break by group. Now if I am on the second page ( page break by column 2 ) and sort on column 3(there is no grouping on column 3), the sorting happens but after the sort, the first page is displayed.IS there any way to remain on the same page while sorting?

I need to add a filter in SSRS tablix to get the dates < 01Mar2015
How can I add it in tablix filter as if i directly use my column name and filter value as 01Mar2015 it is not giving results
Secondly, I have another column with date like : 2015-02-04 00:00:00.000
I need to filter the same in another tablix for dates < 01-Mar-2015
I tried this in expression to convert it into string
=Format(Fields!Last_Date.Value, "YYYY-MM-DD")
And used 2015-03-01 in filter but it did not work
If I dont use format, ssrs gives error that tablix cannot compare datetime and string...
Search option in the filter of SSRS, like in the filter let say for the category parameter we have 100 values , instead of scrolling down for the required option. can we have an option for search in the filter so that when we type certain value it will come up for example in the Google website, when we type the value in the search bar in the drop down we will get the option..same as that...........can we do in the ssrs.
If yes how can we achieve? Do we need to write any .net code?
I have a requirement where i am converting a Crystal report into SSRS.
My data contains different groups where some of the sections should be suppressed based on Drill down group level.In crystal they are using DrillDownGroupLevel <> 1 .
I am creating a SSRS report using a SSAS cube as it data source. The user would like to select multiple values from a reporting parameter that is then used as a filter on the MDX statement. I am bale to have the report work successfully when only one value is selected but not when multiple values are selected; the report uses only the first value from the reporting parameter when it contains multiple values. How do I filter an MDX query using a SSRS report parameter with multiple values?

I have the report, in report don't want to show the Prod order for ended status, how can I add the filter for this so it can show for all the other status not ended status. when I did on filter <7 , it did not work
I thought the built in expression Level() would show me be drill down level. I can't see to get that to work. I'd like to determine my drill down level so I can hide columns based on that.

We need to show the result by grouping grade and dpt. So the Wk1 rate will be the sum of (3000+2500).

I have created a new SSRS Server and done all of the basic security setup for the site but I am having trouble with client machine access...At first I had an issue with being able to access report manager from any client and ended up having to shut off windows authentication on the client IE settings to get it to work. Now I am trying to run Report Builder from a client machine and it will not download. The client machine is on the same domain and my user id is set as an administrator within SSRS and as a local admin on the 2008 server.
I had the thought that without windows auth in the browser maybe it can't permit me access to the application but if I turn it on I can't get to it to download it. I have set Full Control rights to the folder as well. Most of the info out there is for 2005 and that uses IIS to host the pages where as 2008 does not. Here is the details of the error:

I am trying to get my ssrs report in an excel. I want the report to be displayed in a single excel sheet, however, I am getting multiple sheets. I have even tried the page break functionality and used the
expression(=IIF(Globals!RenderFormat.Name="EXCEL",TRUE,FALSE) in the tablix properties--> pagebreak--->disabled option.
The same is not working. what am i missing here?

The report runs properly from SSDT, but when it is run from Report manager, some users cannot access the Excel connection and the report execution fails. I am using SSRS 2012 and Excel 2010.I have created the ODBC data connection in SSRS and when I use 'Windows Integrated Security' option for credentials, the connection gets successful. View 3 Replies View RelatedI need to have a report that will have formulas in excel. I understand that the limited support for exporting excel formulas has been dropped in SSRS 2008. Is there any way to work around this and still output formulas?obvioulsy the way to do it in previous versions of SSRS are not working (using report items). I tried to add my formulas in my dataset (I can know which excel cells I need in the formulas) but they end up being displayed as text. I then have to get in the excel file and enter and exit each cell so that it "becomes" a formula.

- Row 1 (parent) is 'Product'
- Row 2 (child) is 'Feed'
- Columns are date. I have 5 dates showing at any one time across the top. The date field is set up as a parameter so depending on the date the user selects, the report will show that date on the end column and then the 4 days prior to that in the other columns.
- Data is the number of records.
I have a sub total on the Product and the report is collapsed on Product as default.
What i'm stuck on is trying to insert a column at the very end that will show the variance between the last two dates. So the difference between the date the user selected (@date parameter) and the day before that.
When exporting SSRS 2008 R2 report to an csv or excel file not all the rows are being exported. The number of rows is less then 500 and it seems to be a pretty straight forward export.

We mark cells in a report using color names like red, pink, and transparent in the fill expression. In the browser it works correctly. When exported to Excel the colors go to the wrong cells. This worked correctly in SSRS 2008.
