1. Does SSRS is J-Sox Compliant, an application must have audit trail feature. For Reporting printing, it should facilitate reports' data logging process.
2. Information like WHO and WHEN printed the report and WHAT data was viewed?
I have written a sql query which gives me data in report in below format..Need to display data in following format
Client data row has nothing to do with address data row Client are just a distinct list of Client and do not line up with any address . In other words, the order and vertical alignment have nothing to do with the address on the right.
I have a SSRS 2012 report which have few columns with long text. They appear good when viewed in browser. However, when I export it to excel data is shrinking. How can I avoid the data shrinking in excel.
Data lables in ssrs reports are getting overlapped in stacked chart. Since it is satcked chart i can't place labels outside the bar.Due to this it is not visible clearly. how to avoid this issue?
I have a report with three subreport, i want to hide data of subreport while exporting reporting in to excel. I have used this function (=IFF Globals! Render foramt.IsInteractive,False,True) but didnt work.
We are showing hovering data in the report. When we hover the pointer of the mouse over cell, it shows the data. But when we export the report in excel, hover functionality is not working in exported report. Finding the solution to ensure hovering should work in the exported excel report.
I'm working on a report to show financial transactions from a table over a certain period. For most transactions there is a PDF document that is stored in a separate table in a binairy format. In my report I would like to include a link on every line with transaction information in the report that opens the PDF that is linked to that transaction. Just to be clear, I don't want to embed the PDF in the report but I want the users of the report to have the option to view the PDF that is related to that transaction in their standard pdf reader (adobe).
Code to do the following:
Once a user clicks on the link to view the PDF I need the code to get the binairy data of the PDF file from the table, convert it back to a PDF and open it in the default pdf reader (for example adobe reader). If it can't directly open the file then it's maybe possible to activate the 'open or download' pop up that you also get when you download something from a website.
I have done the following and a domain user would not access report created a login to the SQL server to the user (this SQL Server is where data source DB is)went to site setting in Report Manager and made this use a system userright clicked on report folder and made this user in the browser roleeven checked that in the report in question, the user is already in the browser role Still the user would not access the report! "User .......... does not have required permission" is the error message I am getting.
I have written a report visual studio. The report has 10 multi-value parameters that pull data from their individual data sets within the reports. When running the report from within Visual Studio it renders fine. There are no errors reported, only a warning related to a pathname I have use to retrieve image data and display on the report.Deployment of the report is error free.When I view the report I briefly get the "Loading" splash window, but then nothing. None of the headers or static text is displayed. The results window is blank.
The report defaults all the parameter values. In trying to debug the issue I have found by reducing the number of parameter values the report will render. Once I have all the values added, the report does nothing.Below is the query being used for the report. The where clause in the query shows the parameters being used and the syntax.We are running on Windows Server 2008 R2 and SQL Server 2008 R2.

I have a ssrs report having 2 tables in with 4 columns in each. When I go to export option in preview I can see all data coming in one excel sheet, But I am trying to get 2 tables in 2 different pages in Excel when I export.First page of excel comes with first table data with 4 columns and second page of excel comes with second table data with 4 columns .
I'm wondering how to print a SSRS report without bringing up a report viewer. Is there way to print(PDF format) the SSRS report in the web application( .net ) directly from the "print" button without bringing up a report viewer?
I am trying to develop a report from cube,and it has one drill through report.when i click on sales amount field on main report,then it open the drill through report with details.Here i passed the **(category,subcat,product)parameters(Cascaded)** to drill through report in action part of main report.In my main report i have two columns .
when i click on 100, parameters are passed & it open the detail report correctly, but when i click on 50,the values for subcat parameter is not getting values in detail report and same as the product also.
How do I get data on my linked report based on my grouped subtotal and grand total from the main report. The subtotal and grand total are calculated columns.

I have linked my report based on the NumbOfAccts column. I am able to get data if I click any of the NumbOfAccts values related to the state I want. However when I am not sure how to make the subtotal and grand total work. I want when I click on the subtotal of either coast, I should be able to see records of that coast e.g., if I select 37 I should be able to see all the records in East Coast. If I click on the Grand Total, I only want data related to those 2 coasts.

Hi, I'm having problems navigating from one report to another one if the second report has a multi-valued report parameter. When I navigate to the second report, I don't pass any parameters, but I get an error "parameter is missing a value" for the multi-valued report parameter. I have it setup as allow "multi-value" and "blank value". Any idea what the issue might be? Thanks.

i just clicked on Advanced mode in Column Group, and then in Row Group Side i set Fixed Data=true for first top static. I'm using local report not server report and i'm displaying that local report in Reportviewer. Now also its not working....
Hi...A much lamented question, I guess..I'm trying to create a simple audit trail.log the changes to an SQL 2000 table, so that they are written into amirror table. The entire record, only the updated one, i.e. if sayonly one field changes, the audit table will be inserted with onerecord that has one field changed. if the record has been deleted, itstill will be written.I'm not worrying about additional fields to the audit table containingdescriptive flags of what action took place yet. We're looking for a solution to an audit trail issue. Our business people are looking to track each column value that changes(before and after images) for every table on our database as well as the userid that changed the data and when it was changed. Are there any methods that have been employed by other sites to track this level of detailed changes without resorting to triggers for each table and has anyone worked out a way for this audit trail writing to be handled asynchronously within SQL Server?
I have a Mailout table with a MID, ADDRESS, CITY, POSTCODE linked to another table called History which contains events that are associated with each Mailout record. I need to create an audit trail based on the MID of the mailout table that would tell me how many records are currently in event 1,in event 2 etc.
I'm thinking of creating an audit trail table that would store the data as well as create triggers to check on any change(add/deletions/updates) of the status of each record.
Is this the best way of doing it? Or are there any other ways of achieving an audit trail?

Hello.I tried to implement audit trail, by making an audit trail table with thefollowing fileds:TableName,FieldName,OldValue,NewValue,UpdateDate,t ype,UserName.Triggers on each table were set to do the job and everything was fine exceptthat in the audit trail you couldn't know which row exacltly wasupdated/inserted/deleted...Therefore I introduced 3 additional columnes(RowMark1, RowMark2, RowMark3) which should identify theinserted/updated/deleted row.For example, RowMark1 could be foreign key, RowMark2 could be primary key,and RowMark3 could be autonumber ID.But, when I have several rows updated, RowMark columnes values are identicalin all rows in the audit trail table!
