I have a requirement to display project start date and finish date in timescale view. The data in database table available as per below -The start date and project finish date should fill color in the timeline view as per below example, by quarters for a current financial year, last year and plus two years a head.

I have a parameter "time frame" which contains two value- 6 months ,12 months an 18 months which shows data of 6 months , 12 months and 18 months.
In my ssrs report i have 18 columns :
jan|feb|mar|apr|may|jun|july|aug|sep|oct|nov|dec|jan|feb|mar|apr|my|jun
The first six months will be displayed in each case.
But when i choose 6 months i just want to display first six months only.when i choose 12 months i want to be displayed first 12 months columns only and for 18 months all the columns,.

I am facing an issue in TABLIX FILTER . I have a table having a column with dates like

03Jun2014
I need to add a filter in SSRS tablix to get the dates < 01Mar2015
How can I add it in tablix filter as if i directly use my column name and filter value as 01Mar2015 it is not giving results
Secondly, I have another column with date like : 2015-02-04 00:00:00.000
I need to filter the same in another tablix for dates < 01-Mar-2015
I tried this in expression to convert it into string
=Format(Fields!Last_Date.Value, "YYYY-MM-DD")
And used 2015-03-01 in filter but it did not work
If I dont use format, ssrs gives error that tablix cannot compare datetime and string...
In My cube I have :

I have 4 company say (A,B,C,D) but i have record for only company A & D that too only for December month .
When I create a SSRS report out of the cube i want a matrix where all the company names to be displayed in the rows & all the months in the columns and company's revenue in data

I'm developing an SSRS report using VS2013 Premium with SSDT - BI v12.0.2430.0. SSRS is hosted on a SQL 2014 instance.The underlying database table has a varchar(max) field which stores text and embedded image data from a third-party application. I can extract this text, save it as an html file and open that in a browser. It renders complete with any embedded image.Meanwhile, the report textbox has its Placeholder Properties, Markup type set to HTML. Yet when I run the report, the text is displayed but any embedded image is not.Is there any approach I can take, perhaps transforming the varchar(max) data to another format in the query for my dataset, that can show the text and any embedded image in my report? Or is it that the TextBox control is limited, not unreasonably, to text only? If so, is there another control I could use, perhaps custom or third-party?
View 7 Replies View RelatedI have a set of SSRS reports published on the server. It can be accessed through a web application or through SharePoint. Most of the reports work fine through both - web app and SharePoint. However, one of the report, which returns large amount of data has some problem:
1. It generates fine from web app
2. It generates fine from SharePoint; only if one or two values selected from Filter dropdown
3. However, if all items (about 20 items) selected from Filter dropdown... and click on View Report, it processes for a while and then shows nothing. The page remains blank.
Did some research and felt the problem is with Distributed Cache Service.
Tried restarting it; tried changing SPDistributedCacheClientSetting settings - requestTimeout, channelOpenTimeout... but didn't work.
I checked Event Viewer logs, SharePoint logs and SSRS logs but couldn't find any relevant error messages.

Basically i have 3 images capacity per record in my asp.net application. In there i am saving the image path with record id in database and image in my application folder.
Now i am creating SSRS Report in Report builder . In there i have taken one image control to show the images. In the Image properties in report builder i have chosen database under the select the image source field. then inside use this field i have chosen image url and in use this MIME Type i have selected image/jpeg. Now i have saved this report in report server folder.
Now while calling in .net web from through report viewer control. It is opening the report but wont showing the image.
I am working with vs2013 and have developed ssrs report in ssdt that creates RDL files, I want to view this report in asp.net web page using vs 2013 Reportviewer control. How do I do that? What are the proper steps to configure reportviewer control.so I can view ssrs report through vs2013 ultimate edition.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI added the row group to show up as the tree view in the left side of the report. But I need it to display the records in the report detail for just that group value for the records when I clicked the group value from the tree view list.
Currently, it‘s not doing that. It takes me to that page where the group value is listed but it lists all other records too (which I don't want).

I want to run SSRS report directly by connecting Excel as a data source. The report runs properly from SSDT, but when it is run from Report manager, some users cannot access the Excel connection and the report execution fails. I am using SSRS 2012 and Excel 2010.I have created the ODBC data connection in SSRS and when I use 'Windows Integrated Security' option for credentials, the connection gets successful. In SSRS report genertion using store proc based on years, retrieving the data of previous and current year details. In the middle of data, I have to add sub tax total and sub total amount from previous and current year.

In some of the fields e.g. "Description" the data can contain carriage return and line feed characters (CR LF). SO when that happens the csv export breaks the line and rest of the data from that fields goes into the net line. This creates a few undesirable line breaks.
I can always replace these characters from that fields.
Is there a way I keep those characters in the field and still my csv export come up fine.
the Dataset in my report doesn't update the fields' values from the database. I refresh the dataset manualy in the SQL Server Business Intelligence Development Studio to see the new values in the report.

I am needing to set up a Data Driven subscription that uses one report, but sends out the specific portion of the report to the appropriate recipients. I have used the information located at URL.... but it doesn't seem to provide all the steps needed to schedule the reports needed. It focuses around setting up the reports to go to shared folder locations. I need something around setting it up to go to email recipients.

I have a SSRS report that uses a custom library. The custom library returns a string values, and I have tested this with a windows application.In the SSRS report. I have set the expression value for a text box as =CodeReportingLibrary.CodeReportingFunctions.GetImage(1232)
However, when i preview the report the text box value shows as #ERROR. When exporting SSRS 2008 R2 report to an csv or excel file not all the rows are being exported. The number of rows is less then 500 and it seems to be a pretty straight forward export.
