Reporting Services :: Show / Hide Multiple Columns In SSRS

I have a parameter "time frame" which contains two value- 6 months ,12 months an 18 months which shows data of 6 months , 12 months and 18 months.
In my ssrs report i have 18 columns :
jan|feb|mar|apr|may|jun|july|aug|sep|oct|nov|dec|jan|feb|mar|apr|my|jun
The first six months will be displayed in each case.
But when i choose 6 months i just want to display first six months only.when i choose 12 months i want to be displayed first 12 months columns only and for 18 months all the columns,.

I thought the built in expression Level() would show me be drill down level. I can't see to get that to work. I'd like to determine my drill down level so I can hide columns based on that.

I need to hide the address bar in the SSRS report pop-up using the JavaScript. I tried using below property

I have 2 tables in my report, a multi value parameter (tp_title) is passed to the report. I am trying to hide the first tablix with this expression in the visiblity option of the tablix properties.
=IIF(Parameters!tp_Title.value = "Financial Years" or Parameters!tp_Title.value="ALL", False,True )
I get the error: The Hidden expression for the tablix ‘Tablix1’ contains an error: Overload resolution failed because no Public '=' can be called with these arguments:
'Public Shared Operator =(a As String, b As String) As Boolean':
Argument matching parameter 'a' cannot convert from 'Object()' to 'String'.
When I render the report. How the tablix can be made invisible based on the parameter?

I am using the below expression for hidding the zero data labels in ssrs chart.=IIF(Fields!Name.Value=0,False,True). But this expression is working for some other charts. It is not wrking for only charts. I could not find the solution for that. How to hide the zero values.

I have report which has 5 columns. I am doing report development against OLAP. I have Parameter1 and then my second parameter is a boolean (True/False). I want to show Parameter 3/Paramater 4 based on selection of Param2 (So, if true, show Param3, if false, show Param 4) and please remember we are doing this in a sequence.
Is this even possible in SSRS 2005? If yes, how the hell do I achieve it.
PS: Sorry for cursing, but I am about to lose my mind. Any help is much much appreciated.

In My cube I have :
A Fact table <<Company Revenue>>
2 Dimension <<Month.Dim>> , <<Company>>
I have 4 company say (A,B,C,D) but i have record for only company A & D that too only for December month .
When I create a SSRS report out of the cube i want a matrix where all the company names to be displayed in the rows & all the months in the columns and company's revenue in data
What my report is displaying :

what is needed :

I'm developing an SSRS report using VS2013 Premium with SSDT - BI v12.0.2430.0. SSRS is hosted on a SQL 2014 instance.The underlying database table has a varchar(max) field which stores text and embedded image data from a third-party application. I can extract this text, save it as an html file and open that in a browser. It renders complete with any embedded image.Meanwhile, the report textbox has its Placeholder Properties, Markup type set to HTML. Yet when I run the report, the text is displayed but any embedded image is not.Is there any approach I can take, perhaps transforming the varchar(max) data to another format in the query for my dataset, that can show the text and any embedded image in my report? Or is it that the TextBox control is limited, not unreasonably, to text only? If so, is there another control I could use, perhaps custom or third-party?

I have a set of SSRS reports published on the server. It can be accessed through a web application or through SharePoint. Most of the reports work fine through both - web app and SharePoint. However, one of the report, which returns large amount of data has some problem:
1. It generates fine from web app
2. It generates fine from SharePoint; only if one or two values selected from Filter dropdown
3. However, if all items (about 20 items) selected from Filter dropdown... and click on View Report, it processes for a while and then shows nothing. The page remains blank.
Did some research and felt the problem is with Distributed Cache Service.
Tried restarting it; tried changing SPDistributedCacheClientSetting settings - requestTimeout, channelOpenTimeout... but didn't work.
I checked Event Viewer logs, SharePoint logs and SSRS logs but couldn't find any relevant error messages.

Hello,
I'm currently investigating whether SQL Reporting Services might be the right solution to some reporting requirements I have been given (web reports).
There is a requirement that some of the columns are hidden to begin with and can be shown by clicking on the header of one of the other columns. E.g. There is a list of clients and a "Total Revenue" column, clicking on the "Total Revenue" column header would show an additional 5 or so columns which show a breakdown of different figures that make up the total revenue.
So my question is this: Is it possible to show/hide columns by clicking on the headers of other columns in the report?

We are showing hovering data in the report. When we hover the pointer of the mouse over cell, it shows the data. But when we export the report in excel, hover functionality is not working in exported report. Finding the solution to ensure hovering should work in the exported excel report.

Basically i have 3 images capacity per record in my asp.net application. In there i am saving the image path with record id in database and image in my application folder.
Now i am creating SSRS Report in Report builder . In there i have taken one image control to show the images. In the Image properties in report builder i have chosen database under the select the image source field. then inside use this field i have chosen image url and in use this MIME Type i have selected image/jpeg. Now i have saved this report in report server folder.
Now while calling in .net web from through report viewer control. It is opening the report but wont showing the image.

I have SSRS report that has around 80+ columns. I have requirement where in dynamically hideshow columns in report based on user selection. I could able to do it by setting expression for "Visiblity" property and having report parameter thro' which columns to display can be choosen.
My problem is 2 points
1. fox example if columns 2 and 4 to be hidden, then there is an empty column between 1 and 3 and 5 columns. How to avoid this
2. When i export to PDF / Excel these spaces prevail.

I have created the matrix report which has dynamic column, it grow columns(18) based on the 'MCU' field in PRD.MI table. I have added the 'MCU'(A,B,C,D,E,F,G,H,...Q) on 'Columns' in matrix table, to create matrix report and I have added 'mcst' on 'Data' in matrix table and I have added the 'msp2' on 'Rows' in matrix table. I have created new column after row and I added USP2DS.Final output is as given below.I need the split the matrix column per page.
I have added the 'MCU' on "Column group and 'msp2' on Row group.
Query:

I'm building a report that has a column in the table called countries of origin, that column can contain data like "USA","China" ( normal countries) but some rows can also contain "USA, China, Australia" ( multiple counties in one row).
I'm trying to build a filter to filter my results :
-I have a data set created with a list of all world countries
-I've Build a Parameter containing a drop down list with all countries
--- My problem is when I want to create the filter in my main data set , I can so it , but when I search for example for "USA" , I don't get the lines where there are multiple countries and "USA" is one of them...
There must be an expression in the filter that will be able to search through all the values in the string and return me my correct results.

I need to be able to export a data file as flat file (.txt) with fixed columns for use by Mainframe.
I will be uploaded this file using the Windows File Share Option
Render Format does not have .txt, but does have a data feed option. So I will try that.
But, I do not see an option for fixed column width.

I Have an SSRS report which shows questions and answers pulled from a view tables.I have 3 rows: Row 1 shows questions and answers 1 - 128, row 2 shows questions and answers 128 to 248 and row 3 shows 248 onwards.I only want the row with the correct questions and answers to show.So am using this query for example:
=IIf((Fields!vQuestions_Question_ID.Value < 128 Or Fields!vQuestions_Question_ID.Value > 247)
AND
(Fields!vQuestions_Response_value.Value < 128 Or Fields!vQuestions_Response_value.Value > 247), False, True)
which fails.If I only use= IIf(Fields!vQuestions_Question_ID.Value < 128 Or Fields!vQuestions_Question_ID.Value > 247, False, True) this works.What is the correct syntax for the multiple IIfs as i want both the criteria in the first query satisfied?

I have a report with 2 tablixes, both the tablixes can be hidden based on the parameter selection. The 1st tablix has a drill through action on one of the columns, that calls the 2nd tablix in the SAME report. Once you click on the drill through, the 1st tablix is no longer visible, only the 2nd one is.
The report is working fine, until you export it to CSV file. Once you are on the 2nd tablix (1st one is NOT visible at this time in the report), and then when you export it to CSV, BOTH, the 1st tablix as well as 2nd tablix are visible in the CSV file. Why does the 1st tablix come up in CSV IF you just exported 2nd tablix to CSV?
Is there a workaround to NOT show the parent/1st tablix at all if the 2nd tablix is exported? Excel works fine!I know sub-reports instead of multiple tablixes might solve this issue.
