View 3 Replies View RelatedI have a question about ssrs security. In report manager I have set a list of users as browsers, and the builtin administrators are content manager in the parent folder where reports are. A user that is not an administrator and neither a user I added, has access to reports.
I'm thinking this person is having access because the data source of the reports use a administrator account to connect to the analysis services using the option Credentials stored securely in the report server with the 2 checkboxes marked (use as windows credentials when connecting to the data source and impersonate the authenticated user).
I simply marked this option because SSRS is in 1 server and SSAS in other and I think kerberos need to be configured and I haven't looked into it, but I think the report access is separated from the data source.
I have an instance of SSRS that will not run my report subscriptions if it is using a dedicated domain account I made for the express purpose of using it to run this service.
If I have SSRS use my personal domain account as the service account, my subscriptions run correctly. If I have SSRS use this other domain account, the subscriptions do not run.
What else do I have to configure to make this run correctly not on my personal account?
Error message below.
"ERROR: Throwing Microsoft.ReportingServices.Diagnostics.Utilities.ServerConfigurationErrorException: AuthzInitializeContextFromSid: Win32 error: 5; possible reason - service account doesn't have rights to check domain user SIDs., Microsoft.ReportingServices.Diagnostics.Utilities.ServerConfigurationErrorException: The report server has encountered a configuration error. ;"
I have a report I'm trying to modify for a client that has two auto-grow tablix. We want the second tablix to start after the first one completes, however the first tablix will overwrite the second one if it contains multiple rows, rather than pushing it down. How can I control this?

I build a tablix A in SSRS, which contains a tablix B and a textbox C. When the report is exported to word, I found that there is white space between the tablix B and textbox C if the row of tablix B is spilled over to next page.
If I export the report to PDF, the white space issue is gone.

View 5 Replies View RelatedI know this is very simple, and I've done it before, but now I can't remember how to do it and I keep failing to do it correctly. I want to format a 6 digit number like this: 00-00-00. The number is returned from the database as 6 digits, and I just want to add the dashes.
I tried putting ##-##-## in the Format cell in the properties of the textbox (which I thought worked before) but it's not doing the trick. What am I doing wrong here?
How can I round up a decimal number? in SSRS reports.

View 1 Replies View RelatedHow to creating a Table Of Content with page number in ( SSRS )SQL Server Reporting Services or when exported to pdf report.
FYI, Page number should be there in TOC.
Third party component is not accepted.
Dynamic Document Map will not work, as it cant get the page number.
I understand that there is no buildin feature which support this, but there should be some work around in SSRS or when export to PDF.
I am fairly new to reporting services and recently created a simple tabular report. There is one table which queries the database and I would like to change the table so there are more than 25 rows of data per page. How do I do this? Also it would be advantageous to know how to set the report to only create a new page for every different item in a column. E.g., if I have various data for each date, I would like to only create a new page when the date changes so that all data for a specific date is on one page etc etc.

Getting old favourite message 'Out of Memory' when running a horizontal clustered chart with Category: 200 items Series: 200 items per Category.URL... 'By default, the report server sets WorkingSetMaximum to the amount of available memory on the computer. This value is detected when the service starts.'
The report has been tried on 3 large servers with 30GB & 60GB memory. The report runs on a 2008 install but not a 2008R2 install. We've created a test report that simply generates a series of data 1-n for Category and 1-n for Series where n can be set by parameter - so the issue is not to do with the volume of data or the processing required by SSMS. The report runs if the data is output to a table rather than a chart - so the issue appears to be with rendering the chart.
The chart is rendered when the Category has 200 items with a Series of 150 per Category. The report fails with Category 200 items and Series 200 per Category.
on this report, am having ids separated by '^'.when I export to excel, I wrote the expression as
=Replace(Fields!Id.Value,"^",Environment.NewLine)
It is working fine, but the problem is if I have only one id in some scenario, then this case that cell is showing an error "The Number in this cell formatted as text or precedence by apostrophe" .But in other scenario,If the ids are separated by "^", then this case that cell wont show any error. So I need to display the cell wont have any error symbol if I have only one id .How can I achieve this?.
i want to break 2 by 2 rows in reportceiling(rownumber(nothing)/2).i used this expression in row group. URL....but i want to use this expression in matrix and that matirx is with in list . so i am getting error . how to use rownumber in list.here i used list to break the page wise id
View 3 Replies View RelatedIn report builder 2.0, I cannot determine how to display the number of times a field has been filled out when a one to many relationship is involved. I get an error every time I use two aggregates.
ID, Symptom_ID
1, 111
2, NULL
3, 222
3, 333
3, 444
4, NULL
5, 666
The result should be 3 out of 5 records... Or even better displayed as a percentage of the total 60%
I have a 2012 report builder chart that has two series (one area chart and one bar chart) combined into one chart. The problem I'm having is the bar chart has much smaller numbers than the area chart and the scaling is messed up.
Is there any way to put the bar chart on the right axis and keep the area chart on the left axis? My goal is to increase the size of the bar chart in relation to the area chart.
Also, is there any way to make the bar chart color red if the number is negative and green if it is positive?
I am using SQL Server report 2008/2012 (SSRS) and my report viewer contains body content with 3 Row groups.
While printing the report, data print with blank space and move to continue data to next page.
Departure flight : 70 rows
First Page : 42 rows printed
Second Page : 23 rows printed [ Supposed to be print 28 , if the total count of records more than 23 and less than 42 then the page print only 23 records ]
Third Page : 5 rows printed
Departure flight : 42 rows
First Page : 42 rows printed [Report max. record allowed to print 42 rows so if total record is 42 then print perfectly ]
Departure flight : 26 rows
First Page : 23 rows printed [Supposed to be print 26, if the total count of records more than 23 and less than 42 then the page print only 23 records ]

SSRS 2012 - VS2010...The report compares two years with a sort order on a value that has been engineered based on text switched to int. When sorting A-Z this is the result in the horizontal axis is: 5th, K, 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th..When sorting Z-A the result in the horizontal axis is:5th, 4th, 3rd, 2nd, 1st, PreK..Z-A is correct but A-Z sorting shows 5th as the start and end. The magnitude of the PreK location is correct but the label is wrong on the A-Z sort order. The sorting is implemented using the Category Group sorting option.

I am joining on table A AND Table B ON the accountnumber field. The accountnumber on the tblB has some invisble characters at the end, ie "12344 ". The Table A does not have these invisble chars and is "12344".
Due to the extra spaces at the end, the join fails and does not find a match for that acctno. I have used ltrim(rtrim) hoping that will elimante the extra spaces and find a match.
Heres my qry:
select * from Tbla a
inner join tblb B
on ltrim(rtrim(ACCTNO))=ltrim(rtrim(ACCT))
How do I do this, so that it finds a match and returns the acctno.
Given the following example;
declare @CustIfno table (AccountNumber int, StoreID int, Distance decimal(14,10))
insert into @CustIfno values ('1','44','2.145223'),('1','45','4.567834'),
('1','46','8.4325654'),('2','44','7.8754345'),('2','45','1.54654323'),
('2','46','11.5436543'), ('3','44','9.145223'),('3','45','8.567834'),
('3','46','17.4325654'),('4','44','7.8754345'),('4','45','1.54654323'),
('4','46','11.5436543')
How can I show the shortest Distance by AccountID and StoreID. Results would look like this;
AccountNumberStoreID Distance
1 44 2.1452230000
2 45 1.5465432300
3 45 8.5678340000
4 45 1.5465432300
