View 3 Replies View RelatedI am using SQL server 2012. An user tried to export tables from GIS application to the SQL database.
After export, and login to the SQL server, we see all the tables has his name as the schema but not dbo.
He was added as a login and user as in a windows group. Meaning he is a member of the windows group.
I assume when export, the default schema should be dbo. but apparently not.
I went to the setting and explicitly make the default schema for the windows group user to dbo. But he tried again, it still use his username as schema prefix to the tables. just wondering why is this?
I have created a table but i forget in which database. I know the table name but i dont know the database name..

I have this t-sql code which will get some table stats on one database at a time, I was wondering how I would get it to loop through all databases so it will pull the stats from all tables in all databases. Here is my code:

+ '.' + object_name(UStat.object_id) As [Object Name]

When Sum(User_Updates + User_Seeks + User_Scans + User_Lookups) = 0 Then Null

View 2 Replies View RelatedI'm trying to export some tables from SQL Server 2012 into .xml format in a local drive and have run into a problem when reading the file in Excel for example.
The code I'm currently using is:
DECLARE @FileName varchar(50),
@bcpCommand varchar(8000)
SET @FileName = 'D:SQLextractsdbo.vwPOLICIES_Test'+'.xml'
SET @bcpCommand = 'bcp "SELECT pvTransactionID, pvPolicyID, pvParentPolicyID, pvProductTypeName, pvClientID,

I've gone through each of the fields exported and the column pvInsuredName is what's causing the error. If I include column pvInsuredName in the script I end up with the Excel error message 'invalid file reference. the path to the file is invalid, or one or more of the referenced schemas could not be found' .
I'm guessing there's an issue with some of the characters contained within the column pvInsuredName causing the error.
I need to have a process extract some data, export it to CSV and then send it as a plain (non-MIME) message, or as a single-part MIME message. Multi-part MIME messages can't be used.
This process will be called about 20 times daily with different subsets of data.
What is the best way to approach this?

How to export the result to EXCEL from SQL Server 2008 R2.
Hi, I was wondeing how it could be posible to export a table from a database instance to another one.
I only need the structure of the table to be imported to the new database instance. I don't need the data from the source table.
Is there any utility or scritp to do this? It will be great to import indexes and keys also.
Thanks in advance.
Using server 2012 on local machine, I created an SSIS package that will execute in integrated services and Visual Studio solution but will not work when creating a job. Other solutions work well except when exporting data. The program pulls data from query and exports into .csv file. The messages I get are -
Data flow task 1:error:destination- Stage.csv failed the pre-execute phase and returned code 0xC020200E
and
Data flow task 1:error:Cannot open the datafile "pathStage.csv".

How do i export a sql server database on sql server 2005
View 2 Replies View RelatedHello!
I want to export a table in a SQL Server 2005 database to an SQL Server 2005 Everywhere database (sdf file). I use the assistent by calling "Management/Export data". The source is "SQL Native Client" showing to a certain database. The destination is "SQL Server 2005 Everywhere Edition" with an SDF File set. Then after defining the tables to be exported I come to a page showing me the steps of the export. At step "Before execution" I get the error messages (translated from German):
Error 0xc0202009: Data flow task: OLE DB error. Error code 0x80040E37
Error 0xc02020e8: Data flow task: Error opening a rowset for "TABLE_NAME". Validate the existance of the object in the database.
Does someone know what the problem is? The source is completely ok. The source table is existing and contains over 3.000 datasets.

I have two databases on two different servers (an old hosting solution and a new). I need to get all the data from one server to the other but I have no clue as how to do it with MS SQL Server Management Studio Express.
I can easily make the create table scripts that will allow me to create the tables on the new server but what about all the data. I wondered if there is some way to export and import data from one server to another?
With the old SQL Enterprise Manager I was able to import or export as I saw fit but I can't seem to find anything like this with the express manager.
Anyone has any advise as I would like to avoid coding somekind of export program myself,
Many kind regards

Can any1 tell me how to read relations, keysand indexes from SQL Server and convert them to MS Access.(it seams thatfor creation of indexes in MS Access ADOX is the only way but ADOXcannot read all information about keys, indexes from SQL Server.)All I can see is that I have to use SQLDMO to enumarate allrealtion/keys/indexes from SQL Server database and use ADOX to createthis relations/keys/indexes in MS Access database, but I don't knowexact matching attributs of relations/keys/indexes from SQL to Access. Thanks
View 3 Replies View RelatedHi,
Please do anyone know a VB 2005 code to export and import SQL server table to Oracle. Thanks.
I have a view saved on server - mhsvi-datawarehousedatawarehouse.This view, in it's TSQL connects to a databasethat is set up as a linked server. That server is mhsvi-sql2008ainstance1.When I try to add the view to Excel in order to automatically refresh for users as a report - I get the following error - (I get it as well)
The query did not run, or the database table could not be opened.Check the database server or contact your database administrator. Make sure the external database is available and hasn't been moved or reorganized, then try the operation again.I have access to the database where the view is saved and the database that the TSQL calls.
I am trying to do the above using the following...
ALTER SCHEMA [dbo] TRANSFER [schemaame].[tablename];
...but getting the following error...
Msg 15530, Level 16, State 1, Line 5
The object with name "tablename" already exists.
The tablename I see in SSMS is schemaame.Tablename
When I look at the properties of the table, it says the name is 'tablename'.
I cant work out how I can change the schema of the table. Also, surely having a in a schema name is not recommended, right?
I need to use Bulk insert statement for copying a table with 200 million rows to another table on the same server...the table has no primary key or identity column.... script for BULK INSERT ...
View 9 Replies View RelatedHiI am using SQL Server Management Studio Express to make my databases but I noticed if I make my database in Visual studios and go new Item and make a new database I see it in app_data folder and server express tab and if I make it in SQL Server Management Studio Express I only see it in the server explorer. So if I have to move my files to another computer how do I move my database easly with SQL Server Management Studio Express? Since when you make it with the visual studio the file gets stored with all the other files of your project so if you move it all to another computer you prob won't run into a problem. So how do I make it that so I can do everything in SQL Server Management Studio Express(since I like working in it) then export it into a file that I can then go into my app_data folder and add it is an exist item? Thanks
