SQL Package Installation Wizard On X64: Library Not Registered Error
Sep 18, 2006
Hi,
I am using the SQL Package Installation Wizard to deploy my SSIS packages on to a 64-bit SQL Server and I am getting this error, Library not registered. I am also getting the same error when I tried to import a SSIS package from a 32-bit SQL Server. I was able to save my SSIS packages to the 64-bit SQL Server one by one from Visual Studio. My server is run Windows 2003 Enterprise x64 with SP1, and SQL 2005 Enterprise x64 with SP1 and hotfixes. 64-bit .Net Framework is also registered on the machine.
This is the error from the installation log file:

I had just installed SQL 2005 dev on my laptop and got an error message when I tried to create a package using the BI IDE. I received the same error using VS2005 IDE. But the project was created regardless without any packages. When I tried to create a new package in the project, I received the same error again, but with an option to view the error details.
Following is the text of the error details:
TITLE: Microsoft Visual Studio ------------------------------
Already have SQL2008 installed, and it works fine and great.Needed to install 2012 alongside for another project. Heard it should be fine to have both running. So I did. Installed MDS, DQS, SSIS, Service, and management tools. Launching SSMS 2012, when I click the "new query" button... I get the following error: library not registered. (exception from hresult:0x8002801D (type_e_libnotregistered))
If I connect object explorer to a server (local or otherwise), and try to script an object, it gives me the same error and then crashes the application. If I launch SSMS 2008, I can use it to connect to 2012 instance. So I know the instance and service are running correctly. It looks like its just the SSMS that is a problem.
Hi. I've created a number of packages in SSIS which just make temp tables out of views. I did them with the "Optimize for many tables" and "Run in transaction" boxes checked.
Now I'm trying to port them over to another database on another server. I'm first going through the Package Configuration Wizard. When I try to finish the wizard I get a error with the following message:
quote:===================================

I don't know how to resolve it. Anyone?
One way to deal with this particular issue would be just to recreate the SSIS package on the other server. The issue with this is I want to be positive which view I'm making a copy of and I'm not currently. Since the Import/Export has the transaction setting checked, I can't seem to determine what the source was. Help?
In Visual Studion I invoke the wizard, indicate the source for the DTS packages and pick a folder for the migrated package but I don't get a list of my source packages. Instead, I get the error message, 'index out of range, must be non negative, parameter name index(mscorlib)'.
Has anyone ever gotten this error. What does it mean and how can I fix it?

I am unable to migrate any DTS packages, from a SQL Server 2000 package, from a structured storage file, or from a DTS package imported into SQL2005 (Developer Edition, 32 bit). Running the Package Migration Wizard, every time I get to the List Package screen, i get the error below. I haven't found any other mention of this so far. Anyone else seen this error or have suggestions?
I am trying to copy a database from our company's external SQL Server(production) to our local SQL Server(development). The Copy Database wizard fails on the step "Execute SQL Server Agent Job". Following is the error in the log file.. Please advise
InnerException-->An error has occurred while establishing a connection to the server. When connecting to SQL Server 2005, this failure may be caused by the fact that under the default settings SQL Server does not allow remote connections. (provider: Named Pipes Provider, error: 40 - Could not open a connection to SQL Server)
I downloaded the SQL server 2005 trival version (180 days trival peroid) from the MS website. But i got a error saying that I have don't have enough space to extract the package on my C: drive when I do the installation. Actually I have 13g space on my c drive, so I may be miss something? I looked up the internet and found a solution using SET TEMP=C:TEMP and SET TMP=C:TEMP, but it doesn't work for me.
Does anyone have a better idear? I had a SQL 2005 express edition installed on my laptop before, but I have remove it, maybe I did not remove it completely and cause this problem?
Attempting to schedule and execute a package. The server is a 64bit clustered sql 2005 server.
The package was developed on my local install of sql 2005 client tools. I can run the package within BIDS, I can export and run the package from MSDB, but I cannot get it to execute without failure when scheduled.
I suspect it is some weirdness caused by the difference between 32 bit and 64 bit type program, but do not know what to do to figure it out.

Looking at the call stack, it looks like COM wrapper fails on SaveToXML. Can someone tell me how I should workaround this problem?
i need to execute a ssis(sql 2005 integration service) on a document document library . can you people help me out how i can do it
i want to make a work flow which initiate when new document upload in a moss document library and this work flow pass the document to a ssis package and initiate that ssis package

I get an error when trying to install the SQL Native Client. It says it cannot find the installation package and to use a valid copy of 'sqlncli.msi'. I've downloaded the Express setup twice and get the same error from both of them.
I'm attempting this in a VMWare session setup for Windows 2K, Advanced Server. I am trying to test my installation and setup procedures. This is not a production setup, just install testing and documentation. I have allocated only 272MB to the VMWare session, which is why the system doesn't meet the recommended settings.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Below is the Summary.txt output file.

I am using SQL Server configuration indirectly with the connection to it configured in an XML configuration file with the location of the XML file and the connections all being different between development and production. I deploy to the file system using the SSIS Deployment Manifest/Package Installation Wizard.
It seems that sometimes the path to the XML config file is updated in the deployed packages and sometimes it is not.
When the path is updated, all connection strings (as displayed in the Connection Managers section of the Execute Package Utility) are displaying the new values as well.
When it is not, it looks for the XML file in the development location and since it cannot find it all configurations still point to the development connections.
Does anyone know of any conditions when the location of the XML config does not get updated and when it doesn't?
I have a package that loads data from a flat file, performs some transformations and then inserts the final data into a DB destination. The keys for the different DB records are generated in Script components in the Data Flow Tasks.
My question is concerning the Key Generation and I'll try to explain it on a simple example.
Package Structure:
The Control Flow contains two Data Flow tasks. Each of the Data Flow Tasks contains a Script Component responsible for generating the keys of the records to be loaded during this data flow.
The code of the Script component is the following:
' Field Definitions ' Private seed1 As Integer Private seed2 As Integer
' Constructor ' Public Sub New(ByVal dbSeed1 As Integer, ByVal dbSeed2 As Integer) ..... End Sub
' Generates the keys according to the seeds retrieved from the DB ' Public Function getNextKey() As Int64 ... ... Return generatedKey End Function
End Class
Public Class ScriptMain Inherits UserComponent
Private generator As New KeyGenerator(7, 5)
Public Overrides Sub Input0_ProcessInputRow(ByVal Row As Input0Buffer)
.... Row.NewKey = generator.getNextKey()
End Sub End Class
Questions: As you can see the KeyGenerator class code gets duplicated in each Script Component, which is definitely a bad practise. What I wish to do is to create the KeyGenerator class and deploy it as a library "somewhere". Then, in each Script Component, I should only import the KeyGenerator class.
1. Is that possible?
2. If yes, how can I do this?
3. If not, what is a best practise you would recommend which allows me to avoid this code duplication of the KeyGenerator class?

I recently joined a company that is having an issue connecting to SQL Server Integration Services on one of their production servers. When trying to connect via management studio, both locally and remotely, they receive the error below. The server is a 64 bit server and is using third party replication (Veritas).
It sort of sounds like the issue described in this knowledge base article: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/919224. However, we do not have a problem creating maintenance plans. I'd just give it a shot but its a production server and getting approval to do anything that modifies the registry with the registry replication setup is a pain, so I'd like to determine if there could be another cause first.
TITLE: Connect to Server ------------------------------
I have been searching high and low for days and I am perplexed and appalled at the lack of information regarding what can not be an isolated incident.
We are trying to get an Analysis Services 2005 to process on a x64 server. We have both versions of the Oracle client installed and .ora file in both places. I have seen a couple of posts regarding this issue, but they are 2 years old and MS was supposed to have resolved the 'parentheses' issue long ago.
The test connection succeeds, and I can explore the data in the datasource view, but I cannot process the cube. All I get is the "OLE DB error: OLE DB or ODBC error: Class not registered"
Microsoft Windows Server 2003 R2 Enterprise x64 Editon Service Pack 2
Installed Oracle Client 10g and ODAC home
I tried a few things that were suggested in posts, but nothing has worked. I tried the cmd line starting SSMS from progra~2 instead of (x86). I tried renaming the directory with no parentheses. This is the second time we've tried to get it to work in 2 years. We'll probably give up again and stay with x86, um, because it works without all these silly mickey-mouse tricks. Most of our relational DBs are ORACLE so this is a showstopper for us as far as trying to go x64.
Sorry for the attitude, but I'm really frustrated!
If anyone can tell me a way to resolve this (or that it can't be resolved), I'd really appreciate it!
I have created a SSIS package that pulls data from paradox tables using a microsoft Jet 4.0 OLEDB Provider.
Iam pulling data from Paradox tables to SQL SERVER
In the package i have changes the properties RunIn64bitmode from True to False, doing this helped me to run the Package in BIDS environment....However iam not able to run the same using batch file. . I get the below error when run thru a batch file.
Description: SSIS Error Code DTS_E_OLEDBERROR. An OLE DB error has occurred. Error code: 0x80040154. An OLE DB record is available. Source: "Microsoft OLE DB Service Components" Hresult: 0x80040154 Description: "Class not registered"
Has anybody come across this situation?Any help on this is greatly appreciated.
I have an application written in .Net 2.0 using the SQL Server RMO .Net assemblies to create the replication on the SQL Server and to control the synchronization between the publisher and subscribers. I have installed the application on a server that only has the following components install on it:
Microsoft SQL Server Native Client Microsoft Core XML Services (MSXML) 6.0 Microsoft SQL Server 2005 Management Objects Collection
When I run application everything works until I try to synchronize a subscriber, I get the following error: Class not registered.
I tracked down the clsid which it can€™t find to be this: 1E6ADC03-1A05-4DF0-B627-3DAE0F6DA188.
This is listed to be the following class: (Microsoft SQL Merge 9.0) SQLMerge.SQLMerge.3 which located in the following dll file: sqlmergx.dll.
Is there a separate install package that I need to run to get this, sqlmergx.dll and other dependent libraries installed? Or do I have to have SQL Server Services installed on this server because I tried to install only the SDK from the server install on this server and then the client tools and still get the same error when trying to synchronize between the publisher and subscriber.
Or is there something missing with our RMO .Net assemblies?
I have not ever had a problem with my windows media player burning cds...but everytime I put ina blank cd to copy...it says the interface is not registered could someone please instruct me.
I have an application running on win 95/98 m/c which connects to SQl Server 6.5 Server on NT 4.0. From some of the client m/c i get an error message - 'DB-Library network Communications layer not loaded'. But from this client i am able to log on and use the enterprise manager. What could be the problem and how to resolve it ? Thanks.

Hi, I received the following message after a DBCC run. This was fixed by a DBCC UpdateUsage. The question is, is there a reference where I can find details on errors as the above and their causes (other than Googling it or posting to a forum)?
Thanks

I have a DTS package (stored in a .dts file) that was created in SQL Server 2000 and I am trying to work with it in SQL 2005. When I try to import it into the Legacy > Data Transformation Services node in Management Studio, I get a window that reads "Class Not Registered (Microsoft Data Transformation Services (DTS) Package)". I get the same error if I try to just execute the package itself from a query window.
I have Legacy Support installed, and I also have Integration Services installed.
Any ideas? We have three installations of SQL 2005 and I am getting the same error on all of them.
I am running sqlserver 6.5 and I trying to copy over one db into another, it goes thru the scripting and then it gives me the error message Error 10004 [DB-Library] unable to connect. How can I resolve this?
I have a package the connection of which is defined in a config file. When the source is on SQLserver, the package executes fine but when i change the connection to Oracle then i am getting this error.

I just added a post but I don't see it so here I go agian, sorry if it shows up later and there ends up being two of them. I started getting the error message - SQL Dumper Library failed ... Please reinstall... it doesn't say what to reinstal. Does anyone know if this is part of Office or XP? My problem started when I added Office 2007 and the additional Business contacts program from the web site. I did get SQL 2005 and installed it but it says it isn't working. When I click to repair it, it wants the disk, again I don't know what disk or program it wants, although it will not fix it from the XP disk. Any help would be appreciated!
