i have recently ported an old asp.net web application using crystal reports 9 from windows server 2003 to windows server 2008 . the crystal reports smoothly at first but one of the reports stopped working when the admin changed his password now the report is showing error. Failed to open a rowset

In OLEDB Destination, AccessMode as OpenRowset Using FastLoad raises the following error:
"Failed to open a fastload rowset db_object. Check that the object exists in the database"
db_object exists in the database. Is there any key point for the table or view used for fastload?

I have 2 Excel sheets ( Sheet1 and Summary) in an excel output file.
Sheet1 is created and loaded with data fine.
Summary sheet is getting the following error:

I do have an execute SQL task to create the summary sheet before the data flow task.

My goal is to have a file (it comes from another system) that I want to import via an OPENROWSET style query.
The query would look like this:
select [NoName] from openrowset('MSDASQL'
,'Driver={Microsoft Access Text Driver (*.txt, *.csv)};

If I make the file a .csv it works fine. However, if it has a not CSV or TXT extension it throws the following error and cannot seem to find a solution to it.

I generate a report (.RDL) using sql server 2005 reporting service. The tools is visual studio2005. I am runing it on windows server 2000 sp4.
Then I create a website and addin a page Default.aspx using reportviewer control to display the report (.RDL) I published in
Http://localhost/reportserver$Sqlexpress/Report Project1/Report1
The report simply just report a tables content and i can preview it by Ctrl+F5 without problem.
However, after I publish the website to localhost,which is Http://localhost/ViewReport/. I failed to open the report in http://localhost/viewreport/default.aspx The page is opened but there is a error message at the reportviewer portion.
" ASPNET user don't have permission to view the report.." something like that.
Anyone know what causes the problem?
I am thinking is it because I am using build in account "Local system" to run the Sql express 2005 Databaes and reporting service? But I have no choice, when I install the SQl express 2005, the only build in account I have is "Local System", but "Local Service " and" Network Service" is missing from my system. It is weird. Is it because of windows server 2000?

I have a SSIS package where im importing data from MS access database file .MDB. I chose Microsoft JET 4.0 OLEDB provider. When i select a table and preview the data, im getting the below error.
Error at Data Flow Task [OLE DB Source [1]]: SSIS Error Code DTS_E_OLEDBERROR. An OLE DB error has occurred. Error code: 0x80040E09.

But it is working for the other tables .
I work with Microsoft visual studio 2005.
i get data from a table by ADO.NET :

it works fine.
but when i open the SQL Server 2005 express edition and connect to the server (inside the same computer) to check something and then get back to the VS and run the code again ,the Open() function fails with the exception :
{"Cannot open user default database. Login failed.
Login failed for user 'DOMAIN\asaf_a'."
disconnecting the server doesn't help and even closing the SQL Server 2005 application doesn't help.
Only restarting the computer enables the Open() command to work again.

I get the below error only when my IDE open. It connects well when it is found closed.

I could solve this by giving the logged in windows user to impersonate under IIS window > WEBSITE > ASP.NET tab > EDIT CONFIG > APPLICATION tab
But I wish someone could give me the proper solution.
I almost tried all from giving ASPNET user as a administrator to configuring the same in Express management tool.

Tried running install with a domain account and local account with same results.
Based on the error message, I checked permission on the drive and still received the same error.
Followed resolution based on KB 916766, this did not resolve the error.
Only possible resolution I found was to disable UAP, reboot and retry the install. This will be done as a last resort, but any other suggestion will be appreciated.

i'm using the Enterpirse library logger to write logs into a database.
When choosing connection string i choose the database i want in the "connection properties" dialog box and
push 'Test connection' button.
everything goes well.
then i open the SQL Server Management studio express and connect to the databse to check some things,
from that point on , when i push the 'Test Connection' button in the Enterprise library i get the error:
"cannot open user default database. Login failed. login failed for user My'server/MyuserName'"
even when i close the sql server manager , it is still stuck - the connection test doesn't work anymore....
it only work when i restart the computer.
why ?
I am using a proc that runs fine in SSMS Query editor and also produces rows when I click the Preview button in the OLEDB Source Adapter. It has two input parameters. The proc contains some CTE's and UNION ALL's. It does not contain any dynamic sql. However, when I run the package I get this error:
[OLE DB Source [1]] Error: A rowset based on the SQL command was not returned by the OLE DB provider.
How can that be when the Preview shows rows being returned?

I went to my comp ->rt cick->manage-IIS->default website->rt click->properties->directory security->annoymouse access€¦EDIT->under Default domain it was blank, and i added a domain there.
And i was getting error opening up the reports from localhost.

I am executing a SP that has one input & one output parameter. The output parameter is returning a single row for debugging if the sp failes.
I tried using Jamie's method:(http://blogs.conchango.com/jamiethomson/archive/2005/12/09/2480.aspx) to get it to work but keep getting the above error. I have the following variables:

In the execute sql task, I set the ResultSet to single row. I set SQLSourceType = variable & sourcevariable = user::SqlSource. In the result tab, I added a result set, NewResultName with the variable user::NullVar. I tried different configurations with the parameter mappings but nothing seemed to work. I didn't know if i still had to use this if I am using the sqlSource variable to drive the task.
So I am not sure what I am missing here. Anyone have any suggestions?

Last time I recieved this error I had to add ASPNet, NTAuthority, and myWebSiteUsers USERS under the database properties-->permissions setting for the specific database I am trying to access with the website but this database(QuoteSystem) does not lists any of these objects so I can add them. Does anybody know what I have to do to fix this?

I have a dataflow task. On which I have OLEDB as my source. I connect to my database and execute a stored proc. the stored proc results in a result set with only one row and two columns. First Column is an integer and the second row is a varchar(max) with xml script in it. Not that it should matter because it is in varchar(max).
Anyway, it give me an error
[OLE DB Source [321]] Error: A rowset based on the SQL command was not returned by the OLE DB provider.
What am I doing wrong?

I have written CDE to retrieve and process data before generating the report. It works very well inside VS.Net. However, when deployed to the report server I get the following error

I am a Web developer. I am new to VB 6.0 and Crystal Report. I havejoined an organisation where there is an application running(developedin VB6 and crystal report 7). I have to modify one report. In twocolumns I have to make minor changes i.e put and = operator. I amencountering following problem:1. We just have Reporting Services server (2005) up and running, my roles are browser, Content Manager, My Reports, Publisher, Report Builder. I was able to deployed the report and set up data source. Connect using credentials supplied by suer running the report, and use as Windows credentails when connecting to the data source checked.
Did a search on but can't find any messages that related to this problem.
