SQL Server 2014 :: Combine Records That Are Identical And SUM Values In Price Field

I have a robust query that returns a dataset and the data is good, however some of the records contain the exact same data with the exception of the 'Price' field. I want to combine the records that are identical and SUM the values in the 'Price' field. My query and example return dataset is below.
Query:

Here's what I'd like to be able to do: I have a queue that holds any number tasks, so something like this here:
queue_1 task_a
task_b
task_c
task_d
Workers are assigned to teams, Red team, Blue team, Green team. What I need to do is identify instances where all tasks for a given queue have been handled by one team. Once a task has been assigned to a queue any team can work on it, but when only one team has completed every task in a queue a bonus should be awarded.
I'm looking for this to award a bonus:
queue_num task_num team
queue_1 task_a red
task_b red
task_c red
task_d red
No bonus for any team here
queue_num task_num team
queue_1 task_a red
task_b blue
task_c red
task_d green
So the red team earns a bonus. Now, I have thousands of queues each containing any number of tasks. Using T-SQL how can I find all queues where only one team was responsible for completeing every task assigned to the queue? Do I have to use a cursor and eval each task coming through or is there a faster, more efficient way to handle this in SQL?

I have a comma separated field containing numerous 2 digit numbers that I would like splitting out by a corresponding unique code held in another field on the same row.
E.g
Unique Code Comma Separated Field

These needs to be in column format or held in an array to be used as conditional criteria.

Does anyone have a good query that would return records from two tables that are found in one, but not it the other table? In my situation I have 2 tables that are duplicate tables and I need to find an additional 3000 records that were added to one of the tables. I also have a composite key so the query would have col1, col2 and col3 as the composite key. So far I have tried concatenating the 3 columns and giving the result an alias and then trying to show the ones that were not in both tables, but have been struggling. Thanks..

Hi,Currently, I am developing an application for my client. The issue is that the client has the office and warehouse which are in different locations. He wants the application run and updated all the data in to a database (called warehouse database). Every month, all records in warehouse database will be synchronized to another database which is identical with the warehouse database but it is run in his laptop at the office. Since networking is not an option, I have to create two identical database like this. Does any one know what is the good solution to this? Recently, I partitioned one of my largest tables into multiple monthly field groups. For the current month, it is attached to my "Active' table. The older records are kept in the "historical" table. I need an efficient way to pull records when have a date range that can be spread across both tables.

I have a report that I am running in visual studio 2010, that gets its data from a few different stored procedures in a SQL 2012 Database. The variables are Date and Office Code. We currently have 6 different office codes. One of the Stored Procedures gets call information for each office. With the report we can select any single office or any combination of offices to compile data.
The problem I have is two of these share phone information, so when you select either one or both of them the same data gets returned. So for example we have office codes of AAAAA, BBBBB, CCCCC, DDDDD, EEEEE, and FFFFF. Now AAAAA, and BBBBB share phone information so if you select office code AAAAA, the phone info that is returned is for AAAAA, and BBBBB, and visa versa. So I am not sure how to accomplish that either in the report or in the stored procedure.

Does anyone have any ideas on how I can superscript a price field in a RS 2000 Report? I need the cents to be superscripted and underlined. I didn't want to use two text fields if possible. Is it possible do do something like this <sup>$</sup>99<u><sup>99</u></sup> ?

I have implemented a script to perform a MD5 hash on each row processed by the SSIS package so that it can be compared with a stored value to see if there has been a change in the record. This package processes over 1 million rows. In 12 of these rows I get a hash value that is different than the stored value despite the fact that the rows "look" identical. Curious about this, I used the both the CheckSum and Binary_Checksum feature from t-sql to check the rows and they both show the identical checksum value. I have exported the rows into text and did a compare and the records are identical. I assume there must be some hidden characters that is causing the hash to be different, has anyone else run into this issue? Any help is much appreciated.

i created a simple table to record all uploaded files to my website. now, it works, but the problem is, it posts to the table 2 times, as in it executes "Button1_Click" event twice. The result is i get two records which are the same, and only differs in primary key (because i set it as an autonumber). how do i fix this? thanks in advance

I have to add the unit price on the order acknowledgement for products on our shelf.
Each product has different price breaks stored in a table called MaterialUnitCost.
I don't know how to pull the correct price based on the order quantity.
Let's say the customer orders 200 pieces,
I sell 1 pcs @ $20
50 pcs @$15
200 pcs @$10.
My order acknowledgement should pull a unit price of $10, but it pulls $20 instead, because in my select statement I have
select materialunitcost.unitcost.
I thought I should do a loop or use the row_number function, but I am new to SQL, and I never used any of these two.

Table1 contains fields Groupid, UserName,Category, Dimension
Table2 contains fields Group, Name,Category, Dimension (Group and Name are not in Table1)
So basically I need to read the records in Table1 using Groupid and each time there is a Groupid then select records from Table2 where Table2.Category in (Select Catergory from Table1)
and Table2.Dimension in (Select Dimension from Table1)
In Table1 There might be 10 Groupid records all of which are different.

I am developing basket and need a simple way to get price x quantity + total price.
I get back a recordset which has a varying number of items, each item has a price and quantity. Using
SELECT ((productprice)*(productquantity)) AS subtotal, product name, productid
I don't know how to add all subtotals to get a total, I have tried putting in SUM but but cant get it to work.
Any help would be well appreciated.

I have 2 tables First is Student_detail and another is Employee_detail. Student_detail have 14 fields like (stud_Firstname,stud_Lastname...) and Employee_detail have 17 fields like(emp_Firstname,emp_Lastname...).there is no relationship between these two table and also not in a relationship with any other table in my database.This is a structure of my db. but i want to get the records from these two table whose first name is same for both the tables.as well as the result of this query will first show me Student_detail record first and then Employee_detail record.but not in a one row.it should be display in one by one.

Is there a way to combine (merge, join? I don't know the right word) these records so that a single record for the admission is returned?

So let's say I have a table Orders with columns: Order# and ReceiptDate. Order#'s may be duplicated (Could have same Order# with different ReceiptDate). I want to select Order#'s that go back 6 months from the last ReceiptDate for each Order#.
I can't just do something like:
SELECT *
FROM Orders
WHERE ReceiptDate >= add_months(date,-6)
because there could be Order#'s whose last ReceiptDate was earlier than 6 months ago. I want to capture all of the instances of each Order# going back 6 months from each last ReceiptDate relative to each Order#.

I want to generate a number that represents the groups of columns like this:

So that each grouping gets its own identifier. I've tried this:

I am working on a project that will require me to get a flat data file (excel spreadsheet) with hundreds of thousands of records. Each record is an Owner, and specifically what they own. There will be a field for OwnerName that I want to figure out a way to pull the data into a database like;
Table(Owners) - make sure owner is listed only once
Table(Properties) - joined to owners showing all properties that person owns
Now the tricky part, the owner names might not be exactly the same. Some records might have;
Smith, John
John Smith
Smith, John T
etc.
To make matters worse, this will be a continuous process. I will receive updated excel spreadsheets from time to time and will need to import the new records, many times overwriting the old data. For the good news, there should be an OwnerID that will be unique within the excel data. So as I am merging similar records into the Owners table, I should have a list of OwnerID's that can forever be used to link to the owner.
