SQL Server Express Video Learning

Having visited the above Video learning site, I tried the option of Downloading each of several of the videos, in order to play them at leisure, and perhaps, repeatedly.
On clicking the Download buttons, however, the video immediately starts playing in Windows Media Player 11, exactly as if I had clicked on Play the video.
How can I download these videos please?
Windows XP Pro; 2.6 GHz Pentium 4; 1 GB RAM

I cannot play any of these video files in RealPlayer or in Windows Media Player. Any suggestions? Anyone else having this problem?

I recently downloaded Visual Studio 2005 Express along with the Learning Resources for Visual Basic Express video. First let me say that the Learning Resources is an excellent resource for beginners to become familiar with Visual Studio, Database and programming concepts. Although the series is probably too basic for experienced developers you may find it reveals a number of tricks in the Visual Studio 2005 interface.

Problem
I downloaded the VB Lesson 9 Visual Basic Project from Microsoft Learning Resources. With out making any changes to the project I compiled and ran it, making changes to the data and saving the changes. Every thing look great until you run it a second time and see that the changes to the data are all lost.
Observations:
1. Changes made to the data from within Visual Studio (Show Table Data) do take effect.
2. The in-memory data (DataSet) is changed as you move from row to row.
3. The TableAdapter.Update call returns 1, ostensibly indicating the number of rows updated.
4. The data in the database is not changed by the TableAdapter.Update call.
Operating System: Windows XP Pro Service Pack 2

Hi,I have been trying to register for E-Learning for MS-SQL2005 ... but IE aborts any time before the registration is finished ... (after sign-up, or information fill up, or before those steps): "Microsoft Internet Explorer a rencontré un problème et doit fermer. Nous vous prions de nous excuser pour le désagrément encouru.". I don't believe this working as designed despite this pb shows me that Microsoft has still progressed to make in quality ... Hi group.I have been working with ColdFusion and SQL Server for some timenow....abour 4 years I guess. I have developed various web applicationssuccessfully. The scenario I am in is that a company would like me to comeon with them as a lead database admin type guy. I would still do a little CFdevelopment....but mostly it will be data management with SQL Server.Now....like I said...I have worked with databases for quite awhile...specifically SQL Server, and I am quite comfortable with it......butIm kinda worried that the position involves a lot more than I have done.Mind you I will have first hand knowledge of the database in place which iswhat this position is for....so I have somewhat of an advantage. But....Imjust wondering if I should do a short course that teaches me the ins andouts again. It's like I develop databases by winging it. Know what I mean. Ithink I know what I am doing...but what if I don't? Just wondering what yourthoughts are.

I'm pretty familiar with SQL syntax. I am interesting in learning more of admin information.
I've got a lot to learn here and would like some discussion and/or links to helpful sites.
One of the most important things:
I'm trying to understand how the heirachry of groups and users work better. I noticed it is integerated with our active directory from windows server 2000. Is this just becuase of I choose intergrated security when I installed this?
I have many other questions but I would like to try and understand one thing at a time before moving on, so somebody encourage this discussion with me!

I am using the book SQL Server 2005 Analysis Services by Reed Jacobson and Stacia Misner Step by Step.
For building My First Cube, in the Cube Wizard, when the Radio button is checked for "Build the cube without using a data source", the Checkbox for "Use a cube template" is dimmed.
How do you remove the dimming so that the database "Adventure Works Standard Edition" can be entered for providing the template.
I find two files of Adventure Works in Visual Studio 8Microsoft.NET Framework... and three more Adventure Works files in in Visual Studio 8SDK....
Somehow the Adventure Works is not in the right path?

I am a retailer whose software back-end has just been upgraded from Accessto SQL Server 2000. (The front-end is an independently-written shop Point OfSale system)While I know a fair bit about computers, I know nothing about SQL Server.And frankly, I don't want to know much. I'm working towards MCAD and as elective I want to do the SQL Server course. The exam is on SQL Server 2000. I was just wondering whether the online course that Microsoft currently have a available for free at https://www.microsoftelearning.com/sqlserver2005/default.aspx would be useful and applicable to SQL Server 2000, or whether it is sufficiently different product to make it confusing to use this as a learning resource.
Also if anyone can point me toward any webcasts for SQL Server that would be great. I listened to Fritz Onion's 15 part series when I studied for my ASP.NET exam and would like to do something similar for SQL Server 2000 if any are available.

I have been working as Sybase DBA for 5+ years, and I would very much like to add MS SQL Server to my resume. Given the common roots of the two RDBMS, it seems that the learning curve would not be as sharp as if I were going to learn Oracle or DB2. Can anyone out there know of any books that are geared toward learning MS SQL Server from a Sybase DBAs perspective?

I am trying to save the mpg files in database. i am using file upload control. it is working fine for files upto 2mb. but when i try to upload the file of size greater than 2 mb. it doesnot works. i don't know what happens to it. even i use breakpoints in it. but when file is more than 2mb control not moves to that break point. one thing more i just saved file names in database and clips in a folder in the project.

Hello,
After searching the SQL reporting services forum for a while, I decided to lay this problem before you.
I am faced with the following problem:
I want to generate a report containing video data, this videodata is streamed into a SQL 2005 database.
The main question I have is whether it is at all possible to show moving images in an report? (for instance with a CRI?)
Or should I look in another direction (I initially thought of an external link to HTML file with an MediaPlayer Object and having the file stored on a harddisk for instance?)
Any help on this subject would be greatly appreciated!
