I am facing one problem on my SQL server 2000.
While accessing some records from the database I am getting this error:
Microsoft OLE DB Provider for ODBC Drivers error '80004005'
[Microsoft][ODBC SQL Server Driver]Unable to load communication module. Driver has not been correctly installed.
I am using ODBC connection with sql authentication
How to solve this issue.
Currently running Vista Home Premium 64 and Visual Studio 2008 Trial.
1. Create Win form app. 2. Add new data source... 3. New connection - SQL Server Compact 3.5 - Northwind.sdf 4. Highlight Products and Suppliers. 5. Drag both onto Win form 6. Run with debug 7. Error message "Unable to load DLL 'sqlceme35.dll': The specified module could not be found. (Exception from HRESULT: 0x8007007E)"
some blogs advice change dir in SQL Server Compact 3.5 in regedit but regedit doesn't even have SQL Server Compact 3.5; only SQL ServerSQLExpress.
reinstall SQL Server Compact 3.5 and problem still exists.
Hi, I am struggling establishing message communications between Service Broker instances setup on two SQL server machines. I used nielsb Service Broker examples scripts to setup these service brokers but messages always get stuck in sys.transmission_queue with transmission_status field with the error....
"Error: Dialog security is unavailable for this conversation because there is no security certificate bound to the database principal (Id: 5). Either create a certificate for the principal, or specify ENCRYPTION = OFF when beginning the conversation."
I setup the certificate security like this...
use [master]; go
create master key encryption by password = 'masterhello1'; go 1- create certificate TrpCertServ1 with subject = 'TrpCertServer1', start_date = '06/01/2005', expiry_date = '06/01/2009' go 2- BACKUP CERTIFICATE TrpCertServ1 TO FILE = 'C:ServiceBrokerTrpCertServ1Pub.cer'; go 3-CREATE ENDPOINT SSB1 STATE = STARTED AS TCP ( LISTENER_PORT = 4026 ) FOR SERVICE_BROKER ( AUTHENTICATION = CERTIFICATE TrpCertServ1, ENCRYPTION = REQUIRED ); go 4-create login remconnlogin1 with password = 'remserver@1'; go 5-create user remconnuser1 from login remconnlogin1; go 6-grant connect on endpoint::ssb1 to remconnlogin1 go
7- Repeated the above steps for SQL Server 2
8-create certificate TrpCertServ2Pub authorization remconnuser1 from file = 'C:ServiceBrokerTrpCertServ2Pub.cer'; go
I know it has do something with certficates, I also tried setting encryption=off on Begin dialogue conversation but no luck , same error.
I am looking for solution for "Communication link failure" Â since many months in google but no luck, am running an SSIS package to load data. job failing many times with error 'Communication link failure', searched every where but found nothing.
Below is the complete error description when job failed.
OS - Windows server 2008 R2 Enterprise Edition RAM - 198GB Â SQL server 2008 R2 Enterprise Edition and error description is below,

Is it possible to change the EXECUTE AS principal on a module (such as a stored procedure or function) without having to redefine the entire module in an ALTER statement? I didn't find anything in BOL about it in the ALTER PROCEDURE or ALTER FUNCTION articles. If there is a system sproc that does it, I couldn't find it. Changing system tables is not an option (assuming that is an option) for me.
Using SQL Enterprise Manager on a ver 6.5 system we get error message 3101 when trying to restore a database using the 'restore from device' option. The error says 'Database in use. System Administrator must have exclusive use of database to run load.'. The dbo does have exclusive use. There is no one else in the database, and there are no open transactions in the db. DBCC checks also indicate no errors in the db. We need to restart SQL server to be able to load the dump. NT Perfmon is running on the server monitoring SQL objects, but even shutting this does not allow the load to proceed. Does anyone have any suggestions?
I have installed SQL 2005 BETA, VS 2005 BETA in the same dev machine with SQL 2000 in it. Now, I uninstalled both SQL 2005 BETA and VS 2005 BETA. I am getting this error "Yous SQL Server installation is either corrupt or has been tampered with (unable to load SQLBOOT.DLL). Please uninstall them re-run setup to correct this problem" I follow this error instruction, but it still no work. HELP PLEASE.
I have created an SSIS package in BI dev studio which i can debug and run fine. I have saved the dtsx file to a production server which calls it using dtexec as part of a batch script (we are migrating from foxpro). I am getting the following error that i dont understand.
I dont know if this is relevant but i cant execute packages by double clicking them as DTexecui is not installed (not sure why as i have installed the client tools and integration server). Hardware is Dell poweredge 2850 dual xeon 2gb ram with win 2k sp4 and sql 2005 sp1.

I get the message when loading the bcp. I check the path variable and the sqlserver BINN directory is there, but twice. If I try opening the command window and write bcp, I get the error, if I enter the whole path c:...80 oolinncp there is no problem. I wonder what could it be?
I've manually reinstalled many times but still having trouble.
Thanx in advance

When you display a SQL Reporting Services report to the screen in the header there is a Printer Icon displayed. When we click this icon we get an error message "Unable to load client print control ".
Does anyone know what we need to load or what we need to do to resolve this so that we can print the report directly to teh printer, rather than having ot prinnt the web page, which also prints all the Web headre information
Hi, We need to generate a report using SQL Server 2005 Reporting Services which can have 1 million plus records. So we have created a report with a simple select query. This query when run against our database returned 1110018 records. We deployed the report onto our server and tried accessing the report through its URL. What we observed was that the report ran for about 15 minutes and then it prompted for user id and password (Windows authentication). On giving the user ID and password it continued running for another 15 minutes and at the end of it, the browser again prompted for user id and password. This cycle continued twice and at the end of it we got the message €œThe page cannot be displayed€? (i.e. the usual message displayed by the browser when it cannot load a web page). We were not able to load the report at all. Are there any specific considerations when loading reports with such high no. of records. Any suggestion, solutions are welcome.
I receive this error "Setup was unable to load the master information file' when I lanch Control Panel, Add/Remove Programs, Add/Remove Windows Components.
Over the weekend, I loaded the SQL Server SP2 on to my production database after having it on my dev server for two weeks with out any problems.
After I did this, I went to check all my SSIS packages and found them not able to load. I get this message €œMicrosoft Visual Studio is unable to load this document: The package failed to load due to error 0xC0010014 €œOne or more error occurred. There should be more specific errors preceding this one that explains the details of the errors. This message is used as a return value from functions that encounter errors€?. This occurs when CPackage::LoadFromXML fails.
We have recently upgraded our .Net web application from a windows 2003 server to a windows 2012 server. Since this happened users that are trying to print a reporting services report is getting the error "Unable to load client print control". We are using reporting services 2012, but the application is using the 8 version of the viewer. The reporting services server did not change only the application server. The code for the application did not change.

Hi Everyone, Please help me on this issue. I'm a new SSIS User. I've installed Sql Server 2005 Developer Edition When I create a new SSIS Project in Business Intelligence Development Studio, I get the following message: "Microsoft Visual Studio is unable to load this document: Object reference is not set to an instance of an object". Error loading 'package.dtsx'bject reference is not set to an instance of an object When I try to debug the package, I get the below message: parameter Component(System.Design) is null. I've uninstalled and installed SS 2005 several times, yet the problem persists. Please help. This is the package.dtsx
okay so pretty much I am using the asp.net 2.0 membership/roles.i wanna make a search box that users can type in a name and it will search the database. most likely in the table "aspnet_Users"so when users search i want it to be like this:cmd = select * from [table] WHERE username = textbox1.text (ofcourse with parameters instead of concatenation).but i want it to have a "like" in thereso if the users type in "fenix" they should get results matching CLOSE to fenix. so masfenix, fenix, fenxi, and you know related names. that are similar. should I use LIKE? and if so HOW do i use that?is it just gonna becmd = select * from [table] where Username LIKE @username@username = textbox1.text ?thanks
Hello everyone! This is my first post so please bear with me. We haverecently re-vamped an Access application such that in each of our 5locationsa local SQL server receives published updates from our main office server.Remote servers also send their local updates to the master and they are inturn propogated to all of the other remote servers. The new design worksgreat except for one annoying bug we have been chasing for two weeks:"Faulting application msaccess.exe, version 9.0.0.2719, faulting modulemso9.dll, version 9.0.0.2720, fault address 0x0007ee2d." When a user getstheerror, they hit close and it terminates Access. If they move the error offthe screen and continue working the application continues. They havediscovered this and have been doing so but the fact that the error appearsmust be fixed. If anyone can point me in the right direction it would bemuchly appreciated. Thanks in advance!- Markmweber_at_warrenlumber_dot_com
when I click on the lookups tab with SQL Server 2005 Legacy DTS I get the following error.
The specified module could not be found. (ERROR_MOD_NOT_FOUND) Some modules the query builder depends on could not be found. The query builder designer will not be functional.
I tried to change / add password in SQL Server Compact Edition 2005 (in Mobile 5.0) via SQL Server Management Studio. As a result I got an error: "The specified module could not be found." I wonder why and how can I change the (blank) password to a new one?
when i trying to make run the sql server in the sql server configuration I recieve this message the specific module could not be found [08007007e]. I wnat to know how to solve it
Hi, Am migrating my SQL 2000 legacy app to SQL2005 and am dealing with restrictions on the underlying system tables. Have taken advice that Granting VIEW state to all users is heavy handed (especially meta data access at SERVER level). Now looking at Module signing which is great. I can supply SP's which target the few System table/ information schema fields that I require. Now I Sign the Sp's cool, now I grant exec rights to the application role (doesn't work). Create a db role and put my users in it, okay grant role exec on Sp's (fine they work).
However my application runs under an application role always, so my users rights are ignored and it appears that its only the users not the approles who can benefit from the module signing ? I know I can switch too and from approle using cookies but I seem to be going round in cirlces here.
Essentially is there any 'EASY' and 'CONTROLLED' way that my application user who has no rights, who immediately switches to the application role can see the dbName (All rows ) from master.sysdatabases ?
Help please. I have a custom assembly that was written in vb.net 2003 which is working great on RS2000 and also on RS2005 on my development machine. To get it to work on RS2005 all I had to do was copy it into the ...MSSQL.3Reporting ServicesReportServer folder. The assembly is named prjCheckDate and is simply a function to calculate dates where the user types in a "T-x" string, the x is number of days backwards from today, and returns that actual date.
On the customer's production machine, when I try to upload the report RDL, via Report Manager, I get the following: "Error while loading code module: €˜prjCheckDate, Version=1.0.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=null€™. Details: Could not load file or assembly 'prjCheckDate, Version=1.0.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=null' or one of its dependencies. Access is denied. (rsErrorLoadingCodeModule) Get Online HelpError in class instance declaration for class prjCheckDate.classSymDate: [BC30002] Type 'prjCheckDate.classSymDate' is not defined. (rsCompilerErrorInClassInstanceDeclaration) Get Online Help There is an error on line 11 of custom code: [BC30451] Name 'prjCheckDate' is not declared. (rsCompilerErrorInCode) Get Online Help "
I have gone to the rssrvpolicy.config file and added a code group as follows: "
<CodeGroup class="UnionCodeGroup" version="1" PermissionSetName="FullTrust" Name="prjCheckDAte.dll" Description="This is custom assembly for T-x date format processing"> <IMembershipCondition class="UrlMembershipCondition" version="1" Url="C:Program FilesMicrosoft SQL ServerMSSQL.3Reporting ServicesReportServerinprjCheckDate.dll" /> </CodeGroup>"
This was added immediately after the existing entry for the URL membership "$CodeGen$/*" area per MSDN (ms152828).
I'm still getting the same error. I did not get to reboot the server this is on as it is a production machine and the client is hesitant to allow a reboot since this machine is used to log time and attendance and needs to be available 24x7.
With this query i get only the records i need, but i would like to output in this way
1 - 20 21 - 30 31 - 40
of course in the real environment the ID are not consecutive, this is just one example of data.
declare @temp table (ID int) declare @i int = 1 while(@i<1000) begin insert into @temp values (@i) set @i=@i+1 end select ID from ( select ID, row_number() over (order by ID) as rn from @temp ) q where (rn % 20=0) OR (rn % 20=1)
when i create a new database in microsoft sql server management studio,following error message is occurred;

Can i share a function module to all the reports in a report project, that i can use the functions in the formating or expressions. Is there any way to add a assembly reference to the project and can include all the functions in an assembly file?
