I had got the below error when I execute a DELETE SQL query in SSIS Execute SQL Task :
Error: 0xC002F210 at DelAFKO, Execute SQL Task: Executing the query "DELETE FROM [CQMS_SAP].[dbo].[AFKO]" failed with the following error: "The transaction log for database 'CQMS_SAP' is full. To find out why space in the log cannot be reused, see the log_reuse_wait_desc column in sys.databases". Possible failure reasons: Problems with the query, "ResultSet" property not set correctly, parameters not set correctly, or connection not established correctly.
But my disk has large as more than 6 GB space, and I query the log_reuse_wait_desc column in sys.databases which return value as "NOTHING".
So this confused me, any one has any experience on this?

Nov 27, 2013I have a query that returns a bunch of rows. I have an sp that takes 3 of the columns in the query as parameters that I want to execute for each row. I can do that easily enough with a cursor, but I thought I'd try to eliminate one more task where I fall back on using cursors.

Could anybody explain the relationship between converting error and timed out query?
If this is poor connection's problem how can I increase the query timeout for the process?
Log The Query Of The Execute Query Task

I want to log/watch the query executed by the "Execute query Task". It's a query with different variables, the different variables i can see in one of the debug windows and these looks OK, but the query doesn't do what's expected. So i want to see the whole query, is that possible?
Query logging on the database server isn't an option. The server is an oracle server and the dba doesn't want to change this setting.

MDX Query Builder - Query Does Not Execute

Once all the Dimensions & attributes I have selected are dragged into the query area in MDX query builder no data is displayed. There is a message: "No rows found. Click to execute the query." - clicking does nothing.

SP2 Issue With Execute SQL Parametrized Query

I try SP2 and cannot get the Execute SQL task to work as before.
In this example I use an OLEDB Microsoft Oracle provider.
The script uses a parameter like that

The script task is set to BypassPrepare = False
I note only one change, the addition of a parameter setting called Parameter Size set by default to -1
I tried different things like reading the new BOL, changing the Bypass prepare, Changing the Parameter Size and changing the ? , nothing works. the output variable is always set to a value of 0 which is the result of the query test if there is no match.
It looks like the input variable is no longer passed to the query parameter.
What should I do to get this to work with SP2?

How To Execute A Stored Procedure From Query Analyzer
Jun 3, 2007I am trying to execute a stored procedure in Query anaylzer for SQL server 2005. I am not sure I am doing it correctly though, because I am getting an error message. Here is the command I am typing:
execute DetaHistoryGet(84,885,34,"EndDate")
Here is the error message I get:

Incorrect syntax near '84'

I have a table which consists the leave details of an employee.
I have the columns like paid leaves,sick leaves,personal leaves in the above table
Problem :
For eg: An employee joined on 21 May 2008. After 6 months i.e., 21 Nov 2008 I need to update the above columns (i e., increase the no.of leaves)
So updation is to be done for every 6 months and for every 1 year.
Can anyone say me how to execute the update query based on the duration.

If try this query I don't have problem and the output is correct:

I am having some difficulties with a Execute SQL Task, I'll try to describe:
The task contains 2 queries:
UPDATE config SET last_timestamp_int=this_timestamp_int, this_timestamp_int=CAST(GETDATE() AS INT) WHERE company_id=?
SELECT last_timestamp_int AS last_timestamp_int, this_timestamp_int AS this_timestamp_int FROM config WHERE company_id=?
The ? reference to a variable set in Parameter Mapping, which has a initial string value set. Direction set to "Input", Datatype set to "varchar", and parametername to "0". The connectiontype is OLE DB. I have tried to set BypassPrepare to true, but that doesnt help.
The second query fetch 2 values which is stored in the task's Result Set, in two variables. Resultset is set to single row.
When I press Parse Query, I get an error:
"The query failed to parse. Parameter Information cannot be derived from SQL statements. Set parameter information before preparing command."
When I try to run the package, I get this error:

In the data flow task, i have thosands of rows flowing, now just before inserting these rows into a table, i want to delete some rows in the destination table. For this, if i use the oledb command, then it will run several times. I think a script can do it but I want to avoid it because it would be an inefficient affair.
Please post your suggestions on this.

SQL 2012 :: How To Execute One Query From SP Based On User Selection
Dec 22, 2014I have a SSRS report with 6 columns each column containing count of total# of applicants meeting certain criteria.
User want to click on each column and see the basic information and also want to get the ability to export the data into excel.
I know that I can create 6 drillthrough reports with basic information of applicants and link it to the count from each column respectively but I was wondering if it is possible to write a Stored procedure with all 6 select queries and execute only 1 select query based on the column that user clicks on main report ?
DB Engine :: Possible Ways To Execute A Query Joining Three Tables
May 16, 2015I am learning the Optimizer from the book "Querying Microsoft SQL Server 2012" for certificate exam 70-461. I really cannot understand how it explains the number of possible ways to execute a query joining three tables. the pseudo-query is:
SELECT A.col5, SUM(C.col6) AS col6sum
FROM TableA AS A
INNER JOIN TableB AS B
ON A.col1 = B.col1
INNER JOIN TableC AS C
ON B.col2 = c.col2
WHERE A.col3 = constant 1
AND B.col4 = constant2
GROUP BY A.col5;
The book says:"Start with the FROM part. Which tables should SQL Server join first, TableA and TableB or TableB and TableC? And in each join, which of the two tables joined should be the left and which one the right table? The number of all possibilities is six, if the two joins are evaluated linearly, one after another."
Q1: How could it be six possibilities? From my understanding, lets say, if the SQL Server has to join A and B first, and then join C, in this case I can think of 4 possibilities, which are:
1. When A Join B, Left: A, Right: B.
When Join C, Left: result of A join B, Right: C
2. When A Join B, nbsp;
When Join C, nbsp;When A Join B, nbsp;
When Join C, nbsp;When A Join B, nbsp;
When Join C, "line-height:13.5px;">
Q2: The section following the previous question says there are 4 different types of join.."This already gives four options for each join. So far, there are 6 x 4 = 24 different options for only the FROM part of this query."
How can it be 6 x 4? My understanding is 4 is only for 1 join, but in our case, there are 2 joins, so it should be 6 x 4 x 4.
Execute Process Task Depending On Query Result

I wonder if you can help with the following requirement.
I want to be able to conditionally execute an 'execute process task' depending on the result of a query. I have a table which I will select one record/row from upon each execution, this record has a char 1 'type' field which is the indicator for what process to then execute.
This should be quite a simple package and will be run every 60 seconds so needs to be as efficient as possible.
I am thinking I should go along the lines of using an Execute SQL task to select my row in to a result set, and using a series of precedence expressions to determine what process to execute. But im not really sure how.....
I am a newbie to SSIS and 2005 in general so would appreciate any help you can provide
