Install the AdventureWorks 2005 sample database (AdventureWorksDB.msi) on SQL Server 2005 Express: Click the AdventureWorks Sample Database link on the preceding page.

After completing the above instructions, I was surprised to see no new connection/database "AdventureWorks" display in the Server Explorer of my VS2005 standard. Should something be done with the following files in c:Program FilesMicrosoft SQL ServerMSSQL.1Data: AdventureWorks_Data.mdf, AdventureWorks_Data_log.ldf, and AdventureWorks_log.ldf? What did I miss? Please advise. Thanks much.

Hi all ********HELP***************
I am using winform in c# and as i put it on my clients machines all the xp users doesnt have an IIS.
i am trying to install the 2005 express and it asked for the iis.
I understand that there is an edition that doesnt need the iis.
It is imposssible for me to ask all my users to install IIS.
I have some options:
1.to downgrade to access
2.To implement the dlls of 2005 express with no installing (i guess that it want work)
3.to install to my clients the 2005 express eddition with no IIS *** HELP*** how can i do that ?

My asp.net website is using sqlexpress2005. I am planning to use sql2000 with this existing website. My questions:
1. How can I transfer the database definitions and actual data from 2005 to 2000? is this possible?
2. What if I have exisiting database in sql2000, can I convert it to be used in sql2005?
3. should I manually recreate the database when converting from one version of sqlserver to another? and how abt the actual data?
