I am trying to create a script file that will get me the total number of orders in july. How exactly would i say july because i know my syntax is wrong and I would be using sum instead of count right?
What i tried

Im using Access and have created a query which adds up the grand totals of clients orders. However i want to be able to add up what each client has spent in total over any given time period. Basically in SQL logic terms:
take all order totals from same client and add together order totals to produce a grand client spend total.
Anyone help!?

So if i slice OrderTotal by ProductGroup the result will be

D 60
ALL 160
how to solve this.

I'm wanting to get the average number of days between orders in my orders tbl - so I've done a search and found the following sql coded that I have modified for my db tbl's and columns. But when I try and parse it - I get 'Incorrect syntax new the keyword Group' - what am I missing.

I have a requirement to calculate the % change in the number of orders received today with the number of orders that were received 3 days back. All data is in the same table. There is a received date column.
I have two count(*) queries - one for today and one for 3 days back running separately and getting the results. Is it possible I can get the % change in orders received from 3 days back and today in one query.Also if I want to get the number of orders received today between 12:00am today and current time. How would I modify the query.
I need to write down a sql query wherein in one particular day(user will enter manually), i need to find out a 15 minutes slot wherein purchase order's created or updated are the highest.

A running total depending on the ID, Year and Month. Although I showed this for two steps I need to get it from one query.
Question is - To get a running total based on ID, Year, Month. If I do the normal group by and sum query I could get it for all the months for each id. But need to then add January value to February and updated February value.
I have the table below and like to create a view to show the no of days the property was vacant or void and rent loss per month. The below explanation will describe output required
For example we have a property (house/unit/apartment) and the tenant vacates on 06/09/2014. Lets say we fill the property back on 15/10/2014. From this we know the property was empty or void for 39 days. Now we need to calculate the rent loss. Based on the Market Rent of the property we can get this. Lets say the market rent for our property is $349/pw. So the rent loss for 39 days is 349/7*39 = $1944.43/-.
Now the tricky part and what im trying to achieve. Since the property was void or empty between 2 months, I want to know how many days the property was empty in the first month and the rent loss in that month and how many days the property was empty in the second month and the rent loss incurred in that month. Most of the properties are filled in the same month and only in few cases the property is empty between two months.
As shown below we are splitting the period 06/09/2014 - 15/10/2014 and then calculating the void days and rent loss per month
Period No of Void Days Rent Loss
06/09/2014 - 30/09/2014 24 349/7*24 = 1196.57
01/10/2014 - 15/10/2014 15 349/7*15 = 747.85

Hello out there in SQL land! I'm writing a T-SQL script to create tables and grantlogins to local machine NT accounts. The problem is that I'm sending this script out to about 1700 machines with 1700 different DomainNames!
So hard-coding the domainusername is NOT an option. In other words, non-networked computers. In the T-SQL command:
EXEC sp_grantlogin [DomainUsername]
-OR-
EXEC sp_grantdbaccess [DomainUsername]
note: Domain= @@SERVERNAME
Username = Jib
I want to have a variable of some sort pass the DomainName & concatenated username in order to grant login the SQL Server for the NT user. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

It's no secret that the number of pages in a rendered report varies depending on the format. I have no problem getting the total number of pages for reports rendered in image formats from the web service, but I can't figure out how to get the number of pages for reports rendered in HTML.
I've always been under the impression that the Report Manager that ships with SSRS uses the same web service (reportservice.asmx) and IT can get the number of HTML pages, so it has to be possible.
Does anyone know how to do it?
