Securables
Jun 22, 2007
Hi,
I'm using the Express version of SS2k5 and I'm running into a weird problem. When using management studio express, under the securables section of a user or database role, for example, you're giving the ability to add or remove objects. For some reason, the Remove button is always greyed out so I'm unable to remove an object. I have sysadmin privileges so I don't see why this is so. Is it possible that this is a feature only in a standard or developer's edition? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

SS2005 question.
Why doesn't securables show when I add a user to have select permission on a table?
Like after adding a user I click ok to close the window then double click on the user to open it up, go to securables but it doesn't show. It's empty.

Hello,
In the security GUI on a specific database, for a specific user, I am trying to 'remove' a proc from the list of securables. However, the 'remove' button is disabled when I select the proc to remove. There are no 'Explicit Permissions' selected for the proc.
I am a sysadmin on the server. Why cannot I not remove the proc from the list of securables for this database user?
Thank you for your help!
