Deserialize ACL Problem

Jul 15, 2005

I'm developing a custom security extension to Reporting services. In my authorization class I have a problem to deserialize the ACL (secDesc parameter). I have many examples and I€™m doing the same excepted for one thing I€™m not in form authentication but I€™m in windows authentication.
The problem is in the method 'DeserializeAcl(byte[] ...)'.

Serialize Identical Package Execution Across Machines?

Sep 21, 2006

Identical packages are running on 5 different machines (for load
balancing reasons). Most of the time, this parallelism is desired.
However, for certain packages, there is a need to serialize task
execution across all machines, but I'm not sure how to do so reliably.

For example,

1. Package A starts on machine 1, gets "cross machine package token" in
a "wait for token task" and proceeds, and whether it succeeds, fails, or
dumps core, releases the token.

2. Package A starts on machine 2 at ~ same time, sees the token is not
available, and waits until the token is available in a "wait for token
task".

Perhaps a "RetainSameConnection" solution using a db lock?

Copy(paste) 'serialize' Error Always Occurs With Task, Never With Components

Aug 15, 2007

Some more insight into the error I am getting.

It always occurs at the task (control flow) level and never at the component (data flow) level

It always occurs on the 'copy' action.

I have tried all the msxml/registry recommendations to no avail.

once again here are the error details

===================================

An error occurred while objects were being copied. SSIS Designer could not serialize the SSIS runtime objects. (Microsoft Visual Studio)

Could not copy object 'SQT Drop Create RAWMigDeal RAWBarrier table' to the clipboard.

SQL Server 2012 :: Combining Values Into Comma Separated List - Serialize?

Apr 18, 2014

I have a requirement for SSRS report where part of the input has the following structure:

Store NumberStore Owner
542 Jaklin Givargidze
542 Raymond G. Givargidze
557 Hui Juan Lu
557 Tong Yu Lu

but the user would like to see the following:

Store Number Store Owner
542 Jaklin Givargidze, Raymond G. Givargidze
557 Hui Juan Lu, Tong Yu Lu

I am sure that this can be coded, just don't know how. I believe that proper term is to "serialize" the values.

Could Not Serialize The SSIS Runtime Objects When Attempting To Copy Tasks Created By SSIS Wizard

Jul 11, 2007

Run the SSIS import/export wizard.

(xls -> sql table)

Select the tasks created.

Copy.

Here is the error that occurs.

p.s. Does anyone have any needles I can borrow? I think sticking them in my eyes would be nicer than working with SSIS.
