StartDate EndDate
Now my requirement is, in ReportViewer I need to validate in such a way where
"StartDate" should not be greater than "EndDate".

May 3, 2012I need query which will check user supplied date range is in between the existing table startdate and enddate.
if any of the date of user supplied date range is in between the tables start date and end date,it should retrun that record from table.
for example user supply date range is from 1 may 2012 to 5 may 2012.
then query must check that
1 may 2005
2 may 2005
3 may 2005
4 may 2005
5 may 2005
(all dates) is in between startdate and enddate of existing table.

Filtering On Startdate And Enddate Question
Aug 1, 2005Say I have a table which has the validity of an offer as two seperate field, being startDate and endDate:
Code:
ID startDate endDate
1 2005-09-01 2005-10-01
2 2005-06-20 2005-10-20
3 2005-07-18 2005-08-16
Now say I want to filter on this data by startDate and endDate, however I have to return any offer that is valid for a specific period.
E.g. if I filter by startDate = 2005-09-10 and endDate = 2005-10-01 then I want it to return the offers with the ID of 1 and 2 as both of these are valid for the dates I'm filtering on.
I can't for the life of me figure out how to do this at the moment, maybe it's too early in the morning to be thinking about this.
Any help is greatly appreciated.

I want to display 2 weeks Events from Table 1 depends on repeat count
(if event scheduled on Tuesday(2014-11-04) and repeat count is 4 then it should repeat the 2 row of data)
We have to display only upcomming events, if the repeat count is 0 and the startdate and enddate falls by todays date then it should display as a single row.Data's Should be ordered by recent date

Power Pivot :: Using StartDate And EndDate From Timeline In Calculated Measures?
Jul 31, 2015For some of my calculations it is mandatory to get the first and the last date, filtered by the slicer type "timeline".
This works well as long as the date is not used on rows or columns ...
As soon as I'm using theDate within the rows this very simplistic dax measure doesn't work ...
I'm wondering how to determine the StartDate (from the timeline) and the EndDate (from the timeline) when "thedate" is actively contributing to the filtercontext.
In my opinion it is not another example of the "event in progress" situation, due to the fact that start and end dates are actively selected by the user and can not be derived from within the date model.

Aug 14, 2015i have problem generating the SSRS Reports.
i have Report URL with 2 parameters-- @StartDate and @EndDate
when i hard coded the values and copy the URL in IE, Report gets generated

but when i use Parameters--Report is not getting generated.

Sql To Pull Appt Dates 2 Days Greater Than Current
Feb 4, 2008I am pulling data that shows appt information on a patient:
FName,LName, PhoneNumber, ApptDate, ApptTime, and Status that equals Active. I need to pull this info everyday. How can I set this up in a stored procedure to pull all this information automatically on a daily basis where it pulls by Appt Date that is 2 days greater than the current date?

It must be possible to add the place where they currently are working. Then the ExperienceUntil has to be something like still going on. Then I decided that the user then had to set the current date.
But what I want is the following, I want that the ExperienceUntil keeps updating automatically, like everytime i get that record, it has to have current date.
Is this possible ?
But if the ExperienceUntil isn't the current date , it just had to take the supplied parameter date.

Dec 29, 2005I have a table named "shift" and I need to setup my query to return only data where the field "startime" = today. The problem I am running into is the starttime field it laid out like "2005-12-29 14:00:00" with different time values. I need to ruturn everything that has todays date regardless of the time value. I tried using GetDate() but that is returning data for other days as well or just data before or after the current time. Does anyone have any suggestions? This is driving me crazy! Thanks, Garrett

Mar 10, 2008I have a reference table that currently has no web front-end. It's a small table(<10 rows) that's not going to change very often (maybe once every few months).
We manually update rows on the table via the GUI table interface in Enterprise Mgr., not in T-SQL.
What I'd like to do is have SQL Server automatically update the "Last_Modified" column with the current timestamp. I can do it on an Insert using the GetDate() function, but if I update a row, this doesn't work.
Is there a function I can use that can auto-populate for both insert and updates?

Finding Most Recent Date From Current Date?
Oct 21, 2013the requirements are to return person ID with the most recent leaving date from a scheduled dept, who has previously arrived at an unscheduled dept within 7 days, but just now my query shows all the previous leaving dates within 7 days of that unscheduled dept arrival, I only want the last leaving date before the arrival at the unscheduled dept:
So for instance looking at a copy of one person's date below I have:

Nov 23, 2015I have a the following date variables that's being set around the current date. how to adjust it to work around a date variable @Date instead of the current date? Lets the @Date = 2015-06-30 then the it would adjust the variable below accordingly. I'm assuming the getdate()) needs to be replaced with @Date but I can't seem to get it to work.
