Does anyone know of any application(s) that can do or any processes
that can mimic a load such as this?

Aug 5, 2015I am trying to load data from Excel 2007 version into SQL server 2014 DB. I am getting below error" SSIS Error Code DTS_E_CANNOTACQUIRE CONNECTION FROM CONNECTIONMANAGER. The AcquireConnection method call to the connection manager "Excel Connection Manager" failed with error code 0xC0202009. There may be error messages posted before this with more information on why the AcquireConnection method call failed".I have tried all options like changing Delay Validation is TRUE and in properties i changed runtime 64 bit to FALSE but still getting above error.

we always get all versions of the DTS File. Could you help us to Load or Save only the last version of the file? Is there any option of this procedure sp_OAMethod (or other) that solve the problem?

(about 10 computers). As of yesterday, two of these computers are
unable to start the application, and failing with the error below. All
other computers run the application just fine.
System.IO.FileNotFoundException: Could not load file or
assembly 'ADODB, Version=7.0.3300.0, Culture=neutral,
PublicKeyToken=b03f5f7f11d50a3a' or one of its dependencies. The system cannot
find the file specified.

I checked and ADODB.dll version 7.0.3300.0 is in the GAC in the deployment target machines.
I find ADODB.dll in my C:Program FilesMicrosoft.NETPrimary Interop
Assemblies folder (development computer), but this is version
7.10.3077.0 (file properties version)
I see ADODB.dll as a project reference, but this shows version
7.0.3300.0, and shows the path to the PIA folder. I have no clue why
these are not showing the same version number. Local Copy is false.
Installing MDAC 2.8 on the failing deployment target machines did not help.
Any clues or ideas or things to try??

May 8, 2008We just upgraded our applications from VS 2005 to VS 2008 and discovered we had to convert our SQL Server CE databases. So I did that. I then included the sqlce...35.dlls in the application directory on my test computer as well as the System.Data.SqlServerCe.dll version 3.5.

When I run the app and it tries to load the System.Data.SqlServerCe.dll I get the following error:
System.IO.FileLoadException: Could not load file or assembly 'System.Data.SqlServerCe, Version 3.5.0.0...or one of its dependencies. The located assembly's manifest definition does not match the assembly reference.
We have the application targeting the .NET Framework 2.0 and need to keep it that way for awhile.
Any ideas on how to resolve the error?

I get this message when I try to do a forcast from the Data Mining - Forecast menu.
Forecast from Table Tools, Analyse, Forecast works perfect.
Running Vista and using the DMAddins_SampleData workbook.
Any ideas ?

E.g. I have created a database in sql server 2012, created some tables & procedures in that.I took Full backup of that database. Can I restore it to sql 2008r2 or any lower version.
I know direct restore is not possible, I have to use either import or export option or generating script,but i want to know is there any easy step to do so.

Can I Install A Enterprise Version Analysis Service On A Standard Version Of SQL 2005 Server?

Since some analysis services features are only available in Enterprise version , I have to upgrade my SQL 2005 server from standard edition to enterpise edition.
So I uninstall originial standard version of analysis service and install a Enterprise version. However, the analysis service is still a standard version after installation.
Is it possible to keep data engine as standard version and install a enterprise version of analysis service?

Feb 19, 2008Hello,I have been searching and reading a lots of information on the microsoft website about the different version of SQL server, but still can not make my decision.In term of performance, is there a real big difference between the workgroup and the standard version? The workgroup is limited to 3 GB of RAM while the standard is unlimited, would that really change the performance if my server has 16Gb or RAM?The price difference is pretty substantial so if could only have to buy the workgroup , it would be better.One more question, regarding the type of licence, my server has 2 processors, could I avoid buying 2 licences and get the Server plus CAL instead. I am using this server to host 4 web-application running on SQL server. Each database is about 15 MB.Thanks in adavance for your advises.Arno

The reason is because the Enterprise Evaluation version expires after 180 days. So if I create reports and cubes in Enterprise Evaluation I can import them into Developer Edition right? My understanding is that all I have to do is detach the production database, upgrade to 64bit sql server, then reattach the database. Is this really all I have to do?

Non-release Version (600) Is Not Supported By This Version Of SQL Server
Apr 27, 2006I downloaded the 101 Samples installation (i.e. 101SamplesCS.msi) from Microsoft's website, which contains SQL Server database files.
While working with the databases in the "Data Access" samples from the 101 Samples projects, I get the following error:
"Database <mdf_name> cannot be upgraded because its non-release version (600) is not supported by this version of SQL Server. You cannot open a database that is incompatible with this version of sqlservr.exe. You must re-create the database..."
I assume the database files were created with a beta or CTP version of SQL Server 2005. Does anyone know where I can get an updated version of these database files or scripts to update them?

Oct 12, 2015We are setting up a test lab environment with 100 machines. We want one master testing db that gets replicated to each to run scripted application tests nightly.
My goal is to minimize the amount of work to move this thing to each of the 100 test machines. I am wondering if we need to even have the sql local and invest in a monster db server with 100 copies of the db we restore and each test machine point to their own db on that server, or if I should use db mirroring or something to get the master test db to each of those machines instead.

i need to test SSIS pacakge which will import data from different database where record count is around 5 millions.
iam planning to test it through c# code as well as manually also.
SSIS source : consist of 7 tables
SSIS destination :consist of 7 tables
Using c# code iam trying to run ssis package through batch file.
i am putting expected rowcount, column count in an excel file and comparing same with destination tables by writing query implementing ADO.Net concept.
am i going right way ,can any one suggest best and productive way to test the ssis package .
what are the other things i need to test it.
do any one can add test cases to it.

Sep 22, 2015I have received the error message "Package migration from version 8 to version 6 failed".I have developed a SSIS package with Visual Studio 2013 which gives me PackageFormatVersion of 8. I then deploy my package to the ssisdb catalog that is running on a SQL Server 2012, this works fine but when I try to execute the package the error arises…due to SQL Server 2012 has a PackageFormatVersion of 6 and it can’t run something that has a greater version.I haven’t seen any good solution for this but one that would work for me would be to upgrade the Integration Services Server from 2012 to 2014, leaving everything else in 2012 (database, ssms, ssas, ssrs).Would this solve the package format problem? Would I then be able to execute my packages in the ssisdb catalog?

Jul 16, 2007Now, I checked and verified that my backup version of SQL Server is the same as the version installed on the computer I'm restoring too.
I have SQL Server on a production machine that I backed up and want to test a full restore on a dev machine to make sure it will work when I need it to.
Now that I've run the restore command on my tape backup and go to restart the SQL server service I receive:
Configuration block version 0 is not a valid version number. SQL Server is exiting. Restore the master database or reinstall.
I'm afraid I don't understand why this is happening. If the builds are the same, then shouldn't restoring the MASTER database have worked normally and I'd be able to restart the service now?
Any thoughts or suggestions?

I started this thread as the last attempt to sort the issue out.
I have an SSIS package that loads data from a .csv file into my database. It works fine on my developer machine. I start it programmatically or from Management Studio or from Visual Studio, and it works. Then I deploy it to the MSDB database on the computer on which it will have its final place. There again I can start it from Management Studio or from Visual Studio (using the source file), and it works. But when I start it programmatically, it just fails telling me:

component "Agreement File" (11773) failed validation and returned error code 0xC0048021.

There were errors during task validation.
Maybe the source of the problem is that this machine is a 64-bit one, while the developer machine is 32-bit one. But why does the package run fine when I start it from Management Studio?
Any help would be appreciated.

1. We are loading large amount of data from database on background thread which is starting on Application_start event in global.aspx.cs file.The data is later cached for subsquent request to improve the performance.
2. Now when we put the application on web farm garden, it is not able to load the application.
3. We are sending the request the servers through Router kind of application.
4 This application is working fine on single server enviornment.

I'm currently having a problem connecting to my SQL Server6.5 test
server. (Not the hottest problem since it is only the test server, but
it sure would be nice to use it.) I was able to connect to it from my
desktop (Win95 machine) up until this morning. I get the following
error when I try connecting "A connection could not be established to
PIGLET- DB-Library. Unable to connect: SQL Server is unavailable or does
not exist. General network error. Check your documentation."
Does anyone have any idea what this should mean to me? I do have the
server running and I am able to perform actions there, but not from my
desktop. Any suggestions?
