I am new in SQL server 2005. I had setup SQL server 2005 P2P replication. Somehow it did not work one of two way replication. I tried to delete the publication. However I could not do it. have the same problem. When I tried to delete the publication, I got the publication " " does not exist.[SQL server error: 20026]. I tried to use sp_droppublication, it gave me error "the database is not enabled for publication". Nevertheless, I can see the publication in MS SQL Management Studio and Publication monitor with OK status. I could not find the distribution database either.
Could you anyone has ideas to delete this publication? I am sorry I am not a programmer. Please give me more detail explanation if you can. Thanks.
Synchronizing To Expired Publication
Jun 27, 2007if a subscriber is offline (for a long time) and has changes, then connects to the server to synchronize but the subscription has expired, what happens to the subscriber's changes? do the changes get lost? do they get merged as normal then an entire new snapshot with the new changes sent back?

I am creating a Data Flow custom component in SSIS, and my input/output columns are dynamically created depending on the value of a custom property of the component.
Then, as soon as I modify this custom property, I make some job in SetComponentProperty(), that I have overrided in my PipelineComponent, to create my input and ouput columns.
After validation, I have the following error message:
Error 3 Validation error. Data Flow Task: DTS.Pipeline: The package contains two objects with the duplicate name of "output column "AMOUNT" (4714)" and "input column "AMOUNT" (4711)". Package.dtsx 0 0
I create an input column named "AMOUNT" with an ID 4711 and an output column named "AMOUNT" with an ID of 4712.
What is surprising is that when I manualy create the same columns with the default advanced editor of my component, using the menu "Show Advanced Editor...", there is no error !!!
I think that I am doing something wrong but I don't know what...!
Have someone any idea about that?
Here is the code I use to create new input columns:
IDTSInputColumn90 newInputColumn = inputColumns.InputColumnCollection.New();
newInputColumn.Name = virtulaInputColumn.Name;
newInputColumn.LineageID = virtulaInputColumn.LineageID;

The virtulaInputColumn is the linked real input column that I get from IDTSInput90.GetVirtualInput()
Here is the code I use to create new output columns:

newOutputColumn.SetDataTypeProperties(DataType.DT_WSTR, 0, 0, 0, 0);
The outputColumn is here one of my objects that I have created from the custom property of my custom component.

I have two SQL 2000 Server running on Windows 2003 Standard Edtion. I am using merge option to replicate database as Transactional option is excluding some tables. Both server are not in Active Directory and I am trying to replicate over the internet. I got following error message while using Merge option:

Error: The Publication Does Not Exist
Oct 31, 2006I had a publication that I removed from the Local Publications folder but it still shows up in Replication Monitor (with a red 'X'). No jobs exist related to this publication either.
Everything is working ok, but I can't get rid of this from the Replication monitor.
Any help would be appreciated.

in the pull subscription assistant dialog, there are no publications
in it. (even not if i switch to "allow anonymous sub") But every-
thing seems to be alright wirh the publication itself! It even doesn't
work to select the publication in a pull subs. from an other db on the

Expired Transactional Subscription Prob
Nov 19, 2004I'm a complete newb at this. Boss man said, "Here, replication isn't working. Fix it."
So, best I can determine, we had a subscription, but it looks like it got disowned. Trying to delete the subscription gives me a "The subscription on the Subscriber doesn't exist."
I need to delete the subscription to set up a new transactional replication process. Or at least, spending a day hugging on the SQL server has made me think so. I'm running MsSQL 2K. I've tried to screw with it what ways I could glean with the EM, but I'm not getting anywhere. That and I can't find a freaking thing on error 20017 except "It don't exist, buddy."
Here's the skinny:
We have the entire customer Database on Server A. We take 2 fields from the A and replicate them per transaction to B which the Radius server runs off of. (This helps reduce traffic because we keep the A server at the office while the radius server and B server are across town). :(

I have two publications. Some of the data are the same on the two publications. Both are configured as follow : The identity range management is set to "automatic" and the tracking-level is set to "Column-level tracking". Until there, every things works fine.
But, if i'm deleting one of the publication and if i'm deleting one of the rows that were replicated on the two publications i'm getting the following SQL Exception : "Invalid object name 'dbo.MSmerge_repl_view_1CAD32C4FF904A3CA27518B0C4BFF716_70308DE2261C4EC784C56131902E7D1C'"
If i'm watching the status of the leftover replication through the replication monitor, i get this error message :

I checked the given links but they're useless.
So I tried to reinitialize the subscription with the "use a new snapshot" option enabled without any success either. I did only obtain a new error message :
"The publisher's identity range allocation entry could not be found in MSmerge_identity_range table.
Transaction count after EXECUTE indicates that a COMMIT or ROLLBACK TRANSACTION statement is missing. Previous count = 1, current count = 2.

I didnt have any idea to correct this issue, so I would appreciate any help.

SQL Server Does Not Exist Or Access Denied. Expired?

I dread this error because I usually don't understand what it means.
I am using the Evaluation Version and I think it may have expired. Is this the error I would get? Also, If I buy it, will I be able to get my work back, because I cant even access it from Enterprise Manager.

Reinitializing Push Subscription After It Expired In Transactional Replication
Jan 24, 2007I am using SQL 2000. How can I get my transactional replication reinitialized after it has failed with several attempts.
I know one way of doing it through enterprise manager and specifying the subscription to reinitialize. But this will apply the snapshot and will take long time.
Is there a fast way of doing it?

Article For Subscription That Does Not Exist ?!?

I hope someone can help me asap.
I need to alter a column on a replicated table.
So i execute sp_dropsubscription and sp_droparticle for the table for all publication to that article in the database.
Usually i just alter the table and then execute sp_adddarticle and sp_addsubscription afterwards and everything is cool.
However in this case after i drop the subscriptions for the article, when i try alter the table it says it is being replicated.
I query sysobjects and see that the table has replinfo = 1 , this is snapshot replication, but i only have transactional replication ? I used to have snapshot but that was dropped long ago.
I then query sysarticles and i find the table, however the pubid (publication id) for the table is equal to the publication id of another databases publication ??? I also have found in sysarticles articles with a publication id's equal to publications that do not exist, for example articles will have pubid of 2 , but if i run sp_helppublication on all user databases there is no publciation with an id of 2 ?
Please help, even after i drop all subscriptions to an article it seems that sql server thinks the article belongs to another databases publciation or publications that no longer exist?
Maybe there is some sort of cleanup sp i can run or something but it seems to me sql server has gotten articles confused with old deleted publications that no longer exist.
Therefore after dropping all subscriptions i still cannot alter tables as sql server think it is still being published but it is not!

A person from our company left few days ago and the Activ directory account has been deleted then the subscription give a error : Failure sending mail: The user or group name 'CORPvguillard' is not recognized.
Do you have a idea of what to do with this cause when I'm try to change the subscription I get the same Error...

However, this old default is not part of the constraint. Thus, the only way is to delete it from sysobjects.
unfortunately, the following code I have to commented since they could only be executed line by line, not within a begin...end block.

Error 'Cannot Create A Row Of Size Xxxx' - My Fix Doesn't Work

Microsoft OLE DB Provider for SQL Server error '80040e14'
Cannot create a row of size 8297 which is greater than the allowable maximum of 8060.
And realised that my nice responsive varchars had a maximum total size. so I changed them for 'slower' text data types. but my DB still won't allow any more input.
has the limit been reached now regardless of what I change or can I rebuild the DB to recover the space or something?

I only want to pull out whole ID group which code Z exist. I tried as below:

How can I appear with the group as well?

SSRS - Resetting A Subscription After A Subscription Run Failure

It seems to me that if a scheduled SSRS report subscription fails ( Status Message - An error has occurred during report processing) , that I actually need to delete the subscription and reconfigure it from scratch. The scheduled job doesn't try to run again automatically (say the next Monday on a weekly Monday schedule).
Is there a way to "reset" a failed subscription without have to recreate the entire subscription?

What are the possible causes of this merge replication error?
Could it be caused by a SQL Server Compact Edition User trying to sync their .sdf file after their subscription has already expired on the SQL Server?
Would you expect to see a different message if a SQL Server Compact Edition user tried to sync a subscriber database (.sdf file) with merge replication if it's been longer than the subscription retention period since their last sync?
SQL To Search Exist Or Not Exist Data

I have a branch a data, now i need to search through a database to check whther it is exist in that database or not, any syggestion?
Example:
Now i have data 123, 234, 345. Let say data 123 and 234 is exist in that database, but data 345 is not exist in that database.
What SQL am i suitable to use to get those result exist(123, 234) and those result not exist (345)?
The database structure is someting like this:
ID NAME O_NAME
-- ----- --------
1 120 123
2 234 234
3 345 345
1) The data consider 'exist' if it exist in column NAME or column O_NAME (either one).
2) The data consider 'not exist' if it not exist in neither NAME column nor O_NAME column
After the SQL query, someting is expected:
Exist:
ID NAME O_NAME
-- ----- --------
1 120 123
2 234 234
Not Exist:
ID NAME O_NAME
-- ----- --------
3 345 345

Reporting Services :: Login Failed For User (xxxx) - Cannot Open User Default Database
Jul 21, 2015Running a report on sqlserver RS 2008 R2 that uses a data source that looks at a database on a sql express 2012 server.
I can run the report in preview mode from bits on the sql 2008 r2 server.
I have tested the connection of the deployed data source on the sql 2008 R2 reporting services web page and connection has been successful.
I can logon to sql express 2012 using management studio and logon as the user and access the database run stored procedures etc.
windows server 2003, sql server 2008 R2 reporting services server.
windows server 2012 sql express 2012 data source database location.

Jun 20, 2006I have a publication on my SQL Server.
The first time my application syncs with the server it works fine.
If I try to sync again I get "Permission Denied Number 80040E09 NativeErr: 0"
Other publications work fine, it just seems to be this one.
Any ideas?
