Dose SQL Server Integration Service Support Farsi (Persian) Language?

Mar 31, 2008

Dose SQL Server Integration Service support Farsi (Persian) language?

I passed a column of a Farsi text database to Term Extraction component put it didn't send anything to output (destination).

I even use CodePageConvert (http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyID=9E56417E-23D1-4FD3-8D6D-61314FAA2DE3&displaylang=en) between Source and Term Extraction, it seems that it converted the text but still nothing comes from the Term Extraction.

Sample input for Term Extraction component:

ز تاب جعد مشکینش Ú†Ù‡ خون اÙ?تاد در دل€ŒÙ‡Ø§

Multi-Language - In SSAS/SSRS

Mar 7, 2007

Hi

I've made my Cube having two language support - Japanese and English. For that I'm keeping two description columns relavent to language and mapping in dimenstion attribute translation. Till that it is fine. In SQL 2005 Analysis Services Browser it working very fine. But when I use this cube with SSRS, I've made Custom parameter for Language. And based on that I'm chaning Report.Language property for the selected language. It is working fine in case of Report Data. It is converting data in Japanese when I select Japanese Language and translating in English when I select English. But Problem is that Parameter's data is not chaning when I change the language. I supposed to that when I'm changing Report.Language to Japanese then Parameter's data should be changed in Japanese. Please help how it can be possible.

Thanks in Advance.

Reporting Services :: Change Color Of Entire Report

Oct 21, 2015

I have built an SSRS report and fetching my data from an ERP system, previously we have done the same way and the reports are working fine, but only one report which is also working fine but when the values displayed in Preview or Excel, we cannot see values in Excel, when we click on the cell we can see the values in formula bar, but not in the cell. When we select the cell and change the color it will then display the values. In this report many of the values are displayed correctly, but some are not displayed, so every time we need to change the color of entire report. This is causing issues to the end users.

Change Reports Language

Sep 11, 2007

I'm using the ReportViewer to display reports in ASP.NET pages. The reports include dates that must be shown in its long format, but in spanish. Now, everything I'm working with is in english: my workstation and server OS, SQL Server 2005 and client browsers (I'm testing with IE and Firefox).
I'm using FormatDateTime() to show dates, and I tried to change the UI culture to es-MX in web.config with no success. I'm also getting short dates as mm/dd/yyyy, but I need them as dd/mm/yyyy.

Please, any ideas are welcome, and, the more the better. Tks!

Can't Change Language In Server Properties

Apr 27, 2006

Hi

I'm running SQL Server 2005 Express SP1 on a Danish PC, and I need to have the server language set to Danish.

However, when I want to change the language in server properties (the current language is English (US) using Management Studio Express, I can't - all of the properties on the General page are greyed out.

I know that the SQL Server Express SP1 download is available in several languages (Danish not being one of them) - does that mean that I can't get my SQL Server Express SP1 installation to "speak" Danish at all?

Please help - it's driving me up the wall.

How To Change Language Property On-fly In Reports?

Sep 27, 2007

Hi all,

I have a question regarding a Language property on Report, Table and Cell levels.
My reports must show monetary values in different formats depending on a currency symbol where the Client resides.
For instance, money fields for USA, Canada, UK are shown as 123,456,789.00 and then "$" or "£" symbol;
but European countries should have 123.456.789,00 format and a Euro symbol.

I have found that XXX.XXX.XXX,00 format corresponds to the Language property = "Italian".
If I set the Language property = "Italian" on Report or Cell level at design time, the report shows the expected 123.456.789,00 format, no problem.
(By the way, for some reason, on the Table level this property set does not work at all)

Unfortunately, I was not able to change the Language property to "Italian" on Report or Cell level on-fly using the following expression:
=IIF((Parameters!Symbol.Value="$" OR Parameters!Symbol.Value="£"),"English (United States)","Italian")
For debugging, I even tried:
=IIF((Parameters!Symbol.Value="$" OR Parameters!Symbol.Value="£"),"Italian","Italian")
But all numbers on the report are still shown in the 123,456,789.00 format regardless the Client's currency symbol.

I don't want to have 2 sets of my reports only because if the monetary format difference.
And also I don't want to CAST the monetary value into a string and mask it myself with dots and commas.

I appreciate at advance any help or comment regarding the issue very much.
This is a critical bug and it must be resolved ASAP.

SQL 2012 :: Disaster Recovery Options For Multi-Database Multi-Instance Environment

Sep 23, 2014

Disaster Recovery Options based on the following criteria.

--Currently running SQL 2012 standard edition
--We have 18000 databases (same schema across databases)- majority of databases are less than 2gb-- across 64 instances approximately
--Recovery needs to happen within 1 hour (Not sure that this is realistic
-- We are building a new data center and building dr from the ground up.

What I have looked into is:

1. Transactional Replication: Too Much Data Not viable
2. AlwaysOn Availability Groups (Need enterprise) Again too many databases and would have to upgrade all instances
3. Log Shipping is a viable option and the only one I can come up with that would work right now. Might be a management nightmare but with this many databases probably all options with be a nightmare.

Transact SQL :: Existing Table Change To Support Multiple Rows?

Nov 4, 2015

Existing table structure is below:

Table name: Student

Columns in Student are below:

Student_Id
Subject_Id
Quarter
Col1
Col2

Combination of Student_Id, Subject_Id and Quarter columns is the primary key. One student can take one subject in a quarter. Now the new requirement is a student can take multiple subjects in a quarter. So need to add another table like below:

NEW table name: Student_Subject and
column are below:
Student_id
Subject_Id
Quarter1

All the above three columns combination is primary key.

After the new table Student_Subject created,
remove Subject_Id column
from Student table.

When the user clicks on a button after selecting multiple subjects and provide col1 and col2 data then one row gets inserted into Student table and multiple rows gets inserted into Student_Subject table.

Is there any other table design that satisfies one student can take multiple subjects in a quarter?
