May 20, 2015I have a column in table which stores the actual signature from the singature pad. In the table it is stored as varchar(max) datatype and sample data looks like below. Below data is the actual signature of the person.
CREATE
TABLE #test
([Signature]
VARCHAR(MAX))

How do i decrypt this data so i can print actual signature on my report.

I have a varchar field with values like "Jun 13 1995 12:" I want to change the type of the field to Date and the format of the values to "mm/dd/yyyy".
If I change the type of the field in the design view to Date, SQL gives me an error saying that the type cannot be changed and data would be lost.
So I think changing the dates to the mm/dd/yyyy format first and then changing the field type from varchar to date would work.
Can someone please help me as how to do this.

and 305 roes are like the rest in the sample.
can you sugest ma a simple way to convert posible data to format '1/15/2007' format which i can use in a SELECT...INSERT STATEMENT and convert the rest to NULL

How can I change my query to get
mmddyyyy hh:mm but no 0 when month from 1 to 9
example can not be: 02/12/2007 03:34
but should be: 2/12/2007 03:34
Don't know why excel not accept month with 0 from 1 to 9

However, when I try to create it and CONVERT it to a DECIMAL, it then loses the "0"

Is it impossible to convert it to a decimal and retain the leading "0" on the month?

Once data loading is finished in the temp table (Data is loading by source team SQOOP and they are unable to load if the source datatype is having Date or datetime) we have to alter the column datatypes. somehow, some character data in inserted in date columns (look at into 3rd insert statement). while altering the table it is failing. I want to calculate the min(age) and max(age).
But the AGE field's datatype is varchar and I canot do any mathematical functions.
In Oracle There is a code for doing that.I think this is the code

what is it's MSSQL equivalent.

I am using a varchar datatype for PIN number to handle zero at start. Now i want to do mathematical calculation to encrypt the PIN so i need to convert that varchar datatype to int so that zero should not be discarted after conversion. i.e. 0123 and 123 must not be treated as same PIN.
