I have a string variable and following data.

when I assign values in @ServiceID in the above manner then it shows error. How to get string array in @ServiceID variable so that i can go ahead.
I have a stored procedure that has a paramter that accepts a string of values. At the user interface, I use a StringBuilder to concatenate the values (2,4,34,35,etc.) I would send these value to the stored procedure. The problem is that the stored procedure doesn't allow it to be query with the parameter because the Fieldname, "Officer_UID" is an integer data type, which can't be query against parameter string type.
What would I need to do to convert it to an Integer array?
@OfficerIDs as varchar(200)
Select Officer_UID From Officers Where Officer_UID in (@OfficerIDs)

I keep running into a problem with the debugger freezing up. I'm trying to pull results from a query into an array (not more than 10 rows)

if I comment out the "letter = rdr[0].ToString();" portion of code, the project runs fine. With that code there, I can not step into the proc from the SQL test script. No errors are raised. VS just freezes.

I have a problem with a string variable which looks something like this
@VARIABLE = 'RTY,YTUK,GHJ'
I need to be able to select (RTY) the first individual values seperated by the commas to be used as a variable elsewhere in my SQL script.
Following this I need to use the second value (YTUK) to be run in the same piece of code. Followed by the 3rd value (GHJ)
Can anyone tell me how to do this?

Using SQL Server 7.0, I am trying to use a variable string called from a form to perform a simple query.
Here's what it looks like:
[after submitting a form on the previous page with a drop down list box titled "fiscal"]

[where strYear is the following: PYMNT_DT > ''12/31/98'']
Records exist that meet this criteria. If the PYMNT_DT > '12/31/98' is hardcoded into the sql statement, 12 records are returned. However, when the variable string is used instead, no records are found. Any ideas on how this problem might be fixed?

Nothing comes back.
When I run:

Then I get results.
Is there a way around the character limit for a variable? I'm throwing the following in a variable and evaulating it as an expression and having an execute sql task do it, but I can clearly see it's being cut off.

but, value of Int is dynamic. it may be string or double so,
i want it to be as,

but its not acceptable(its invalid cast).

I'm trying to add a 'change password' control to my site and seem to be having some issues. I have code that works if I statically define what user is displayed on the form, but I cant get it to detect the 'authenticated' user and show them the reset for for that ID.If I take the "+ myid" out of the select statement and just define the username statically the form works properly. I'm trying to write a stored procedure in SQL that will make a copy of a file and then append the current date to the end of the copy's filename. I'm storing the date in a variable called @currentdate which is defined as:

I have written a SSIS package which does the following:
- An 'Execute SQL Task' uses an OLEDB connection to execute a Stored Procedure in SQL Server 2005
A SSIS user defined variable named @SourceSQLStatement is passed to the Stored procedure as an OUTPUT
This variable is a string Data Type
- The Stored Procedure generates an SQL command and saves it in the variable
This variable is defined as @SourceSQLStatement nvarchar(4000) OUTPUT
The varible is then returned to the SSIS package
When the package is executed the variable does not contain the entire SQL command.
When I check in the Locals window during Debug, the contents seem to have been truncated:
