I have 5 tables in Academy database. Like
Academy details tables, Academy Students table, Academy Student Parents table, Academy class Section Table, Academy Staff table.
I have created the tables and data into the database. And Now I need to prepare a Excel sheet to upload data into the these tables. How to prepare the Xlsx sheet and how to upload into database without using SSIS package.
I have three tables in data base:
customer
product
sales
And i want to use SSIS package dynamically load data from database into three separate flat file, each table into each file.
I know i got to use for each loop task ADO.Net schema row set enumerator, with OLEDB connection manager, select table name or view name variable from access mode list, but the problem comes, as table name is dynamic then flat file connection is also dynamic, i am using visual studio 2013...

I have a window2000 pc, VS2005,II5 and SQLServer 2005(dev edition)
I created an SSIS Package (query to DB and the result is loaded into an Excel file) that works fine.
I imported the dtsx file inside my "Stored Packages".
I would like to load and run the package programmatically on a Remote Scenario using the web services.
I created a solution with web service and web page that invoke the web service.
When my code execute:
Microsoft.SqlServer.Dts.Runtime.Application.LoadFromDtsServer(packagePath, ".", Nothing)
I got the Error:
Microsoft.SqlServer.Dts.Runtime.DtsRuntimeException: The package failed to load due to error 0xC0011008 "Error loading from XML. No further detailed error information can be specified for this problem because no Events object was passed where detailed error information can be stored.". This occurs when CPackage::LoadFromXML fails.
The error message doesn't help so much and there is nothing on the www to give me and advice....
Is it a SSIS problem???

I am loading data using SSIS 2008 from a table in SQL Server 2008 DB to excel 97 sheet pre-defined with column headers. All the columns in excel is has 'Text' format property and the columns in the SQL Server table are defined as nVarchar. One of the columns has trailing spaces in few rows in DB but after exporting to excel 97, the spaces are gone. We need to retain the whitespaces in the column values. How can we do that.

I currently have a export that takes data from my SQL Server 2005 DB and exports it into Excel. This process works correctly. My excel template has the first row headers and the data is dumped in the row after the header. I would like to know if it is possible for me to add borders around my data without doing it within the template? I don't know how much data is going to be exported so I can't put borders within the template. I put borders around the headers to see if it will copy the formatting down to the data and it didn't. The package works fine on the developed server but when I try it out on our integration server it won't go through without these errors. The protection level is set on DontSaveSensitiv and allready I had an error less.
I hope someone can help me, because I can't find anything with google.

I have package which pulls data from db table and creates a excel file extract.The flow is like this - A excel file template sits in the input folder folder for processing .The package starts by dropping excel sheet in the excel(which is clearing any data and columns available) once that is done it has script task which creates a new columns for the sheet and gives a sheet name as well .Then a execute sql task runs and pumps data into a table which serves as a source for the excel extract process .The excel extract process involves pulling data from the table and doing data conversion before it moves it into the oledb destination (excel file on file server).When I run the package I go and see that data is pushed down . I see top rows say 100 are empty and data appears after say 100 rows .
I tried deleting excel file and replacing with new one empty with columns and sheet name only but still it doesnt work?I am trying to understand what is making ssis behave like this and what can I do overcome the problem ?I read on google that we need to bring in file system task will move a template to working directory which is input folder but I dont want it to incorporate that logic as we need to push this package to production ASAP with very minimal change.
We are using SQL Server 2014 and SSDT-BI 2013. We have a reporting environment where business users create objects which need to be persisted for fiscal year reporting. Let's say for instance SQLSERVER1SRVR1 they create table objects like below in the reporting environment.

I have 2 different excel files file1 and file2. file1 should be loaded to table1 and file2 should be loaded to table2. Both of the files will have 1 sheet inside. Do I need to create separate excel source for file1 and file2? I mean file1 in one excel source and that will be connecting to 1 execute sql task. file2 in other excel source and that will be connecting to another execute sql task. Is this the way I should proceed or is there any looping should be done? I need to schedule this activity to run every week. So, I'll get new files every week with the same file names and sheet names. Do I need to consider anything for this requirement also?

I tried using the "IMEX=1" mentioned in some of the online resources but it didn't work. I am getting the following error when trying to load multiple excel files using for each loop container in SSIS, I tried to put the quotes in several different ways but still can't get rid of this error. I was able to successfully load single excel file, but when I use the for each loop container that's when I am having problems. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thx.

All execute sql task has query like above query. and in some query we have date filter which loads data for yesterday. Ex. one query has ship.SHIPPED_DATE=(dateadd(day, -1, CONVERT(VARCHAR(10),GETDATE(),120))). some other query has ord.trans_date=(dateadd(day, -1, CONVERT(VARCHAR(10),GETDATE(),120))). this package runs daily through sql server job, so It loads data for yesterday. I am having an interesting SSIS problem where the package fails to load with the following error message:

This very same package runs on our test server, but fails to even load on UAT server.
SSIS packages are the same on both Test and UAT servers (I compared not just dates and sizes - they are literally the same: byte-to-byte)
DTExec version is 9.00.3042.00 on both servers.
HKLMSOFTWAREMicrosoftMicrosoft SQL Server90DTSSetupVersion = 9.2.3042.00 on both machines.
This started to happen when the UAT machine was upgraded to Service Pack 2 of SQL Server 2005. Please note that the UAT server only runs SSIS packages and does not have SQL 2005 database engine installed. There is, however, an older installation of SQL Server 2000 on UAT machine (I am not sure if Test machine has it - will check tomorrow).
Any help is greatly appreciated.

I have done DTS that export data from SQL to .xls, it works perfect, my problem is my table from SQL get truncated everytime before i load data but my .xls file always come with previous records which I don't want. i.e. if my Sql table had 3 rows , when i finish to execute the dts, my .xls come with 3 rows, when I exec again, my table get truncated and my .xls add another 3 rows. I have an excel sheet containing one column (ID_NO) with 400K rows. I have a database from where I have to fetch some other columns from a Netezza database. Initially I tried hardcoding all the 400K rows in the query that I wrote using filter WHERE ID IN ('1212','2334'). But after pasting all the 400K rows the query is running indefinitely.
I have imported all the ID in a SQL table (MY_LIST table). I used a DFT, and selected ODBC source, and selected my netezza server. Then in the 'Data access mode' I selected the SQL command from the dropdown.I pasted the same query that I wrote in Netezza. Is there any way to pull only for those records that I have pulled in my SQL table (MY_LIST) ?

Here's my need :
In one directory there's several excels file. Theses file have the same structure :
col : LOOKID, LOOKNAME, ASMPID, ASMPNAME, LOOKTYPE, LTYP_NAME, PAR_TYPE, PTYP_NAME, PARAMETER, VALUE.
The problem is that the cell format of the PARAMETER col. is different bewteen excel files. It could be date, numeric, ... The col destination in sqlservr database is Varchar(10).
I've created the ssis package with a ForEach Loop, and in the ForEach loop I've created a Data Flow Task.
In the data Flow Task I've created an excell source file (using excel file with col PARAMETER in date format) with an OLE DB destination.
When I launch the package on the same excel file as the one using to create Excel Source object it's OK, no errors, and data in the sql table are OK.
But when I launch the package on Excel file with col. PARAMETER in numeric format, there's no execution errors, but in the destination table the value of the PARAMETER col. is transform in date format.
I tried to change in Excel source object the datatype of the input PARAMETER col, but I've got some compilations errors. It seems that SSIS recognize automaticaly excel source data type col. But may be I did something wrong in the excel source settings ?
Is there a way to force the excel source datatype with varchar(10) ?
I've also tried to do the treatment with an script task but my vb.net knowledge isn't enought to do that.
If you have some suggestions, I'm listening.

have an excel file which contains lots of sheets. Some of them are named as DW-<day>-<month> (for e.g; DW-1-July). Like this I have sheets for the whole month. I have other sheets too with a different name. I would like to import data from these sheets only (DW ones). Upon my research I have found that this can be achieved via For Each Loop Container.

I am working on an HR project and I have one final component that I am stuck on.
I have an Excel File that is loaded into a folder every month.
I have built a package that captures the data from the excel file and loads it into a staging table (transforming a few bits of data).
I then combine it with another table in a view.
I have another package that loads that view into a Master table and I have added a Slowly Changing Dimension so that it only updates what has been changed. (it’s a table of all employees, positions, hire dates, term dates etc).
Our HR wants to have this data in a report (with charts and tables) and they wanted it to be in a familiar format. So I made a data connection with Excel loading the data into a series of pivot tables.
I have one final component that i cant seem to figure out. At the end of every year I need to capture a count of all Active Employees and all Termed employees for that year. Just a count.
So the data will look like this.

The data is in one table labeled [EEMaster]. To test the count I have the following.
