I need to retrieve list of all databases and the size occupied by them in sql server. As of now am pulling data for each database using sys.dqatabase_files which is hard for me as there are around 40-50 db on SQL Server.

Anybody know any method/script I can use to see a list of table name
and table size (in bytes, not rows) within a database?
I know I can see the size of any particular table in "Table info" tab or using "sp_spaceused" procedure. But I can't generate a report with a list of table name and table size using these methods.

I am trying to create a list of all the tables in one database and then list the size of each table. So for example I want to create a table with the table name and table size for one DB
E.g
Table1 1111KB
Table2 123300MB
Table3 120448KB
etc for all the tables in a particukar DB
I know there is a stored procedure to list the sizes: 'sp_spaceused' but not sure how to script all this together.

Ok, I want to write a stored procedure / query that says the following:
Code:
If any of the items in list 'A' also appear in list 'B' --return false
If none of the items in list 'A' appear in list 'B' --return true
In pseudo-SQL, I want to write a clause like this

IF
(SELECT values FROM tableA) IN(SELECT values FROM tableB)
Return False
ELSE
Return True
Unfortunately, it seems I can't do that unless my subquery before the 'IN' statement returns only one value. Needless to say, it returns a number of values.
I may have to achieve this with some kind of logical loop but I don't know how to do that.
Can anyone help?

I have a report on my report server... and it has set for multivalue parameter... but since the particular client has only one plan so they wont have the select all function... but the size of the ddl is so squished that we cannot see the Plan name at all...
So can someone pls help me as to how can i increase it..

I am trying to pass a list of numbers to a stored procedure to be used with 'IN()' statement.
I was doing something like..

This stored procedure is working fine, but when i m adding more required stuff to that, the size exceeds 8000, & it gives the error "Invalid operator for data type. Operator equals add, type equals text."

I was surprised because when start write column name I saw the pop-up objects list. But this was very strange list, because I didn`t find necessary columns. This list show only "common" objects(such as database nemes, functions & ect). I think that such list(after first select) should show only children objects(columns, keys, triggers, indexes & ect.), after that is you write "from" such list should show only parents objects (Such as table name, database name & ect).

I have a database consisting of two main tables and 12 sub tables.
This was leading to increase in database size. So we thought of storing the sub tables data in the main tables in form of xml in a column of varchar(2000) type.
So we created a new database that only had 2 tables and we stored the data of the sub tables in the new column of the main table.
Surprisingly we saw that the database size increased rather than decreasing .
I have question about the size of foreign key’s in sql-server 2012. If I in one table had a foreign key of the “INT” type. Do it still cost 4 bytes of storage?
