Unable To Display Report Header Image When Deployed
Apr 17, 2007
Hello All,
I am unable to display report header when I deploy the reports on report server (Internet). However, they look perfect when previewed in the BI studio. Any clue where could be the problem?
How to display the logo in middle of report header , The logo is embedded in the Image folder . The column of the report  are static. we are using SSRS 2008
I encountered the following error after I deployed a report . The deployment process was successful, however, when I try to run the reports from the remote machine, It gives me an error message saying:
An error has occurred during report processing. (rsProcessingAborted)
Cannot create a connection to data source 'SessionOLAP'. (rsErrorOpeningConnection)
For more information about this error navigate to the report server on the local server machine, or enable remote errors
On the other hand, I deployed this report on the local machine where the reportserver resides and it is running perfect.
Do you have any idea how to deal with this problem?
When I run the SSRS report in development mode, it is working fine. When I run in deployed localhost, I faced an error message as below:
The permissions granted to user 'FAROUKYEWNOTEBOASPNET' are insufficient for performing this operation. (rsAccessDenied) Hope someone can enlighten me on this.
Hello, I'm using a multipart/form-data upload to put an image into SQLServer, and it appears to be working, but I'm unable to display theimage. All I'm getting is the text of the URL we're on in Firefox anda missing image icon in IE! Any ideas why this isn't working? Here'sthe image upload code:Dim intImageSize As Int64Dim strImageType As StringDim ImageStream As StreamintImageSize = Picture.PostedFile.ContentLengthstrImageType = Picture.PostedFile.ContentTypeImageStream = Picture.PostedFile.InputStreamDim ImageContent(intImageSize) As ByteDim intStatus As IntegerintStatus = ImageStream.Read(ImageContent, 0, intImageSize)'make connection, write SPs, open connection, etc.TrydbComm.ExecuteNonQuery()Connect.closeCatch SQLexc As SqlExceptionResponse.Write("Insert Failed. Error Details are: " &SQLexc.ToString())End Try--------------And now the display code:'make connection, then SELECT Image, Imagetype FROM Pets WHERE[User]=@user AND Petn=@petn'stored proceduresDim Reader As SqlDataReaderReader = dbComm.ExecuteReader(CommandBehavior.CloseConnecti on)If Reader.read=True ThenResponse.ContentType = Reader(1)Response.BinaryWrite(Reader(0))ElseEnd IfReader.closeConnect.close----------------------------Thanks.
After finding out that SSRS doesn't directly support databound items in the header or footer, I found the workaround from Microsoft yesterday at http://msdn2.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms159677.aspx. The problem is that their solution only works for the first page of the report, so it's basically useless! Because this is an image, it also means the workaround of using a parameter doesn't work, either.
Does anybody have any advice? Is there a solution to this problem?
I'm trying to embed a report into a CRM IFrame. So I have the report created in Business Intelligence Visual Studio 2005, but I need to display it with none of the header details SRS displays by default.
Using the following URL I included rc:toolbar=false and rcarameters=false but they don't seem to make any difference. I basically need to display the report content as if it were part of that page and not an SRS hosted page.

I have a simple report that has nothing but an image. The image is part of the project. The image displays in the VS 2005 dev environment when report is previewed. But when deployed and run on the report server website, it does not display. If the report is print previewed or exported to Excel, the image displays. I've set my browser to have the least security as possible but still to no avail (made the website trusted as well). The server is running SQL Server 2005 SP2. My browser is IE7. Can anyone please help? Thanks.
Hi. I used insert command to insert a image file to my SQL like insert [ABC].[dbo].[Itemimage] value ('12345', 'c:Imagepicture1.jpg'). but when I use report design to read this DB, I can't show this image in my report. Does anybody can help me to find out my error?
I have a table that has an image datatype column and I also have acontant type column in that same table to define which type of data isstored in that table. In this case a screen shot or may be a word document may be stored inthat table....!I am trying to use that image datatype field in my report and when theyclick some button I needed the reporting service report to open awindow based on the content type and display that image.Has anyone done this? Any help will be much appreciated...Thanks in advance....
I have a report that I created and the report was working until I added some fields to a group footer row in a table.
My table has 5 group levels. I had information displaying in the 5th level header group and detail. It was working fine. Then I added some fields to the 4th level group footer. Now it displays only the Page header, Table header, and the 4th level group footer data.
What happened to the rest of the data?
All the cells and rows I want to display have the Visibility Hidden set to false. I tried removing the objects I added (to the 4th level group footer) and it still does not work. Is this a bug or did I set something that is hiding the data.
I have been using the reportviewer control to display my ssrs reports. However, i'm facing issues in displaying Server reports in the control. The following error show up whenevr i click on View Report.
Execution 'aaxe3ke5k34l5355qbup0rvo' cannot be found
Please help if anyone has come across something similar

I have learned lots of informative thing from your forums. I have little problem regarding “Display image from SQL Server on ASP.NET I have done it and image display on my page from SQL Server. I have cleared you here I have adopt two different methods which are following for displaying picture.
but in both above methods I have faced little problem when image display on my page all other information can not display and I also want to display picture on my specific location on the page. My second question is can use any web control like “Image1 to display image from SQL Server where my pictures are stored.
I need some help. I am writing a report in SSRS 2005 that I then need to export to Excel. When I put a report header I would expect the header to not display in the Excel spreadsheet until the Print Preview or the Print. The report footer works just fine I put some text in the footer, and it shows up in the footer. The header though, shows up as a row in the Excel spreadsheet that then causes columns to merge. How do I get the report header to act like a page header?
I am making a book-like report, I am using a report that has a header and calling a sub-report that has it's own header. However the sub-report header is not showing on the parent report. Parent report header is prevailing over the sub-report. Is it possible to have both headers displaying?
Is there a way to change an image data type? I want to make a change to some deployed SQL 2008 SSIS deployed packages. I have a TSQL SELECT that searches the packages for a string. But I would like to be able to change a string. I have googled it but cannot find anything.
There is a one header in the report, when I publish and hit the report in IE(internet explor) the header appears fine on first page when I go to next page this header does not appear.
But in mozilla the header is visible on every page of the report. so it is working fine in mozilla.
We have 10 charts in One RDL file, out of these 10 charts 3 Pie charts are displayed dynamically, Using 'Visibility' property expression in the 'Hidden' sub property as below.
Which returns 'true' or 'false' for 'Hidden' property. Each chart has to be displayed on separate page, hence we have set 'PageBreakAtEnd' Property to true for each chart.
Problem: But, when this RDL file is deployed on report server, these charts are all displayed on single page without any page breaks. however, when the RDL file is exported in PDF format, the report is rendered with charts on separate pages as expected.
Is there any way to ensure the charts are rendered properly, in report viewer of report server ?
I have developed a custom report item that works fine in design and preview mode while in Visual Studio. I cannot get it to show up on my deployed reports. Here's what I have done so far:
1. Deployed the report using Visual Studio
2. updated the rsreportserver.config file with the following entry:
I've also tried using the StrongNameMembershipCondition with no better results.
4. The dll and its dependencies are copied to the bin directory of the report server.
5. When I load a report with this custom report item on it, the report loads fine with no errors or warnings in the log file (even with verbose tracing). The area where the custom item should be is just white. It's almost like Reporting Services isn't registering the item correctly.
This is particularly frustrating because the report works fine in Visual Studio - apparently I configured that correctly. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. I'm stumped.
on how to add databound images into a report header.
The issue I am encountering is exporting to PDF. If the report spans multiple pages, in PDF the image only shows up on the first page..and broken on all other pages.
I have tied the hidden image to the table that spans multiple pages. Shows ok in HTML but breaks when exported.
I have some OLAP reports in which I have to alter the MDX statements each month, in the VS2005 report designer. They are deployed to the web and they contain Descriptions and Subscriptions which I create once they get to the web. The way I am currently updating them each month is by editing the reports in VS2005 and re-deploying them to the Reports Server. I then have to add the descriptions again and create new Subscriptions because the orig reports are deleted when the new ones, with the same name are deployed. There has to be a way that I can just alter the existing reports in the web environment and not have to recreate the Subscriptions each month. Any help would be appreciated.
I'm trying to create a reprot with 30+ datasets/querys. My report is made up of tables (one for each dataset), and it starts a new page whenever a new dataset is being displayed. I would like to have a header on every page, and have it display a custom name for the dataset on that page. How do I approach this? Thanks for any answers or leads.
Adding a Databound Image to a Header or Footer You can use image data stored in a database in a header or footer. However, you cannot reference database fields from the Image control directly. Instead, you must add a text box in the body of the report and then set the text box to the data field that contains the image (note that the value must be base64 encoded). You can hide the text box in the body of the report to avoid showing the base64 encoded image. Then, you can reference the value of the hidden text box from the Image control in the page header or footer.
For example, suppose you have a report that consists of product information pages. In the header of each page, you want to display a photograph of the product. To print a stored image in the report header, define a hidden text box named TXT_Photo in the body of the report that retrieves the image from the database and use an expression to give it a value:
Hi, I was hoping someone can help me fix a problem I am having when I deploy my rs report. What happens is when I view my report in designer everything works fine, however when I deploy me report to the report server and begin to drilldown into the matrix the entire report shifts down each time I toggle one of my drilldown fields. This causes the top of the report to disappear. The user than has the scroll up each time to reposition the report. Has this happened to anyone else? Does anyone how to fix it?
