I accidently deleted the file that I was working on in notepad that had the tables and views that I created. Is there a way to retrieve a list and the code that I put in for the tables and views?

Hi, this is my second attempt to get an answer to this question. We want to strip our firstName column and lastname column of any punctuation that might be present. What's the best of doing that? Is my only choice to write a nested REPLACE for each character we want replaced (which will end up being very very long) or is there another way. thanks Zoey

Department:B €¦€¦€¦€¦€¦€¦€¦€¦€¦€¦€¦€¦€¦€¦€¦€¦€¦€¦€¦€¦€¦€¦€¦€¦€¦€¦€¦€¦€¦.. Here is what I did I have a list control that is grouped by department. this will get me the info from Line 1 to Line 10 then this list control is actually under another list control that is grouped by department to get the info from Line 15. I used this example for simplicity and what I am doing is fairly similar to this situation. My problem is, I need to find away to know how many totals I have to count the total for the entire department. In other words : from the example above how can I know I have to divide by 3 to get 33%. I can get the 100 without any problem but I can€™t tell what number I need to divided by. I tried to use Count(Name.Field) I was hoping this will give me 3 which indicates the divided number. But I was getting 7 for some reason. How can I get the number of times the list control was implemented for one department which is in this case 3?
I have a custom list(say a list for account numbers, account numbers starting with 13 form a group, then starting with 14 form a group and like that)
and then there are tables inside this list. the report will be displayed based on the values of this custom list.
i also have a drill through report for this. now when i pass fields!accountnumber.uniquename for this list only the first of the group values say 130001 is selected..
When using Sql Server Enterprise Manager and viewing a Database / Tables section, most of the tables if not all have a create date of 11/5/2004.Except for one, DNN_Users, has a creation date of 7/10/2007What factor could have caused that create date to have changed? What factors go into the date being set on that column in the database design? Does the date get updated say if I were go go in and change a datatype in a table?
I need to install SSIS/SSRS in SSMS. I have connected the SharePoint list view to excel for reporting purpose but due to data size the performances is very slow in excel and now I would like to connect the SharePoint List to SSIS/SSRS
I have windows 8, 64 bit system
I have installed SQL Server Management studio 2012 but I am unable to enable the Integration and Reporting Services
May be I have missed to choose the option during installation.
I am creating a view consisting of 278 to 300 columns. ( I want to use this view for data entry). The columns are of varchar(30) datatype. I am able to successfully create the view but upon opening the view in Enterprise Manager or Access I get the following error:
I have a list of ClassID that is stored based on users multi select on a listview
For example ClassID might contain
301 302 303 304
Now I need to find InstructorID where classID matches all the value in the above list.
I am using this query
Code: Dim assSQL = "Select InstructorID from ClassInstructors where ClassID = @P0" For i = 1 To classIDs.Count - 1 assSQL &= " UNION Select InstructorID from ClassInstructors where ClassID = @P" & i.ToString Next
[Code] ....
But the problem is the query is returning InstructorID where ClassID matches any of the ClassIDs. I want it to return Instructor ID where ClassID matches all of the ClassIDs in the string.
I have writen a Function which call's the same function it self. I'm getting the error as below.
Maximum stored procedure, function, trigger, or view nesting level exceeded (limit 32). Can any one give me a solution for this problem I have attached the function also.

Hello, Maybe anyone have done that before? I have table where i store SOURCE_TABLE_NAME and DESTINATION_TABLE_NAME, there is about 120+ tables. i need make SSIS package which selects SOURCE_TABLE_NAME from source ole db, and loads it to DESTINATION_TABLE_NAME in destination ole db.
I made such SSIS package. set ole db source data access mode to table or view name variable. set ole db destination data access mode to table or view name variable. set to variables defoult values (names of existing tables) but when i loop table names is changed, it reports error, that can map columns, becouse in new tables is different columns.
Hi, I have a table in which I will insert several redundant data. Don't ask why, is Integration services, it only reads data and inserts it in a SQL table. THis way, I have a SQL table with several lines repeating them selves. What I want to do is create a procedure that reads the distinct data and inserts it in another table, but my problem is that I am not able to select data line by line on the original table to save it in local variables and insert it on the another table, I just can select the last line. I've tried a while cycle but no succeed. Here is my code: create proc insertLocalizationASdeclare @idAp int, @macAp varchar(20), @floorAp varchar(2), @building varchar(30), @department varchar(30)select @idAp = idAp from OLTPLocalization where idAp not in (select idAp from dimLocalization)select @macAp=macAp,@floorAp=floorAp,@building=building,@department=department from OLTPLocalizationif (@idAp <> null)beginInsert into dimLocalization VALUES(@idAp,@macAp,@floorAp,@building,@department)endGO This only inserts the last line in the "oltpLocalization" table. O the other hand, like this:create proc aaaaasdeclare @idAp as int, @macAp as varchar(50), @floorAp as int, @building as varchar(50), @department as varchar(50)while exists (select distinct(idAp) from OLTPLocalization)begin select @idAp =idAp from OLTPLocalization where idAp not in (select idAp from dimLocalization) select @macAp = macAp from OLTPLocalization where idAp = @idAp select @building = building from OLTPLocalization where idAp = @idAp select @department = department from OLTPLocalization where idAP = @idApif (@idAp <> null)begin insert into dimLocalization values(@idAp,@macAp,@floorAp,@building,@department)endendgo this retrieves every distinct idAp in each increment on the while statement. The interess of the while is really selecting each different line in the OLTPLocalization table. I did not find any foreach or for each statement, is there any way to select distinct line by line in a sql table and save each column result in variables, to then insert them in another table? I've also thought about web service, that reads the distinct data from the oltpLocalization into a dataset, and then inserts this data into the dimLocalization table. Is there anything I can do?Any guess?Really needing a hand here! Thanks a lot!
If you need to have a liste of tables starting with 'WI', under Oracle for example, with a simple select of a system view (with a filter : table_name like 'WI%') you have the result. Under SQL Server, how to do this simply (sp_tables ?) ?
Anybody know any method/script I can use to see a list of table name and table size (in bytes, not rows) within a database? I know I can see the size of any particular table in "Table info" tab or using "sp_spaceused" procedure. But I can't generate a report with a list of table name and table size using these methods. Any idea? Thanks.
I have a list of names, all i have to do is check to see if any of them are in a table, if they are they get deleted. The unique field of the table is title and it is what i have. I don't really know how i am meant to do this. I thought of creating a new table, placing my values into it and comparing to the already existing table, but surely their is a simple way?
Is there a system table that holds the table definitions, names, properties, etc. for tables that I have designed? I would like to write a transact SQL query to insert a field in every table that I have defined.
Hi! There must be a very simple answer to this question, but it’s my first venture into using SQL Server data.
I’ve set up an ASP.NET site to provide for on-line sign-up of events. The site has a masterpage and utilizes a wizard to create an e-mail to request sign-up for an event.
I’d like to make my radiobuttonlist dynamic so that events past the signup deadline will not be displayed. So, I’ve created a database table that includes two fields: event_description and event_date – such that the radiobuttonlist will only show those events that are at least three days beyond today’s date.
I’ve configured the data source and the radiobuttonlist so that I can display all the entries in the event table, but I can’t figure out how to restrict them to today + 3 events only.
I’m guessing my problem is in the “Add Where Clause of the “Configure Data Source wizard. I’m sure the “Column should be set to event_date and the “Operator should be set to “>, but what should I set the “Source & “Parameter Properties to? I’ve set a variable in my program as “Dim deadline As Date = Today.AddDays(3), but the wizard doesn’t seem to see it.
Can anyone steer me in the right direction? Thanks, Jerry
