I am using below code to get patient status as an out put to my form. not sure whats happening but each time I run this its not executing my last "IF" if set to "N" show me N if not show me "Y" but it is by passing my first "IF" condition and jumps to last?
The column alerts_ind shows only Y or N in the table patient_status.
The table patient_status_mstr show the description of the patient which "discharged". All I want to do is if the patient is flagged with "discharge" the columns "alerts_ind" shows "Y". but something wrong? below is the code.
Alter PROCEDURE GBCheckPatientStatus (@enc_id varchar(36), @data_ind Char(1) OUTPUT)
as begin declare @alerts_ind char(1); select @alerts_ind =pm.alerts_ind
Hi,Say, you have two inter-dependent packages of pA and pB. With thesuccessful execution of pA you would proceed to execute pB. And sincethey would perform some repeatitive tasks on regular basis they arescheduled as a job. But you don't want to the job to make attempt torun pB if you know pA has failed and you want to nofiy sys adm of it.And let's say pA has log option checked (so, there's a log file forit). Now, it would seem to me quite clumsy to check this potentiallyhuge file to see if a particular package (pA here) is successful beforerunning pB. Any other viable and clean solution?Yes, one could possibly combine pA and pB into one big package (pBIG),however, for the sake of a clean and clear business process this is notdesirable since pA and pB handlestotally different business processes.TIA.
I have a package in which there are four tasks. I have to get the status of those four tasks and finally send a mail. I am unable to get the status for individual task.
hi all, i have a package; thats executing another 4 packages, i can able to execute these packages in ASP.net
I want to display the status notification of the executing packages in the webpage( while packages are being executed, i want to display which package is executing, and what is the status of the package! whether it is executing or not? or it is raising any errors?) every thing i want to give in the front end--> its not my requirement, my client ask me to do that!
so please help me! how to display these status information of the running package in asp.net (c#)
(i'll give you one good chocolate if you give me good solution!)
post your mails to vivekanandaraj.natarajan@honeywell.com Thanks you a lot!
I have a log shipping configuration where Server A is primary, B is secondary and C is the monitoring Server. When I run a query on both A and B I get similar results. Which means log shipping is working fine.
However when I run 'Transaction Log Shipping Status' Report on the monitor server I am unable to tell which files were recently copy and which files were last applied. or even when the last backup occurred or a copy was made. The columns are empty. I would like to find out what would cause this to heppen?
Also is there a way to find out the lsn of the databases on both primary and secondary servers.
I'm trying to get reports and report server site aveable through user certificate.
Web site is under default web site. Under default web site is certificate server web page, it is aveable and configured the same way and it works if I use certificate.
If I type https://FQDN/Reports , i get error The request failed with HTTP status 403: Forbidden. But if I type https://FQDN/reportserver i can access.
Both sites are aveable if I use only https. But if I but if i use Require client certificate, than I get 403 error.
In rsreportserver.config, there is <UrlRoot>https://NETBIOSServerName/reportserver</UrlRoot>, does not help if I use FQDN.
If I enable anonymous access, I can not access Reports site, an I get error 403, but on Reportserver site I get following error :
We are about to implement SSRS reports (SQL Server 2012), and have found one issue we don't like. The report looks great when we open it in pdf format. However, when we open it in Excel format, we want it to be the raw data, not look like the pdf report. I tried the simpl headers, and that removed the page header/footer. However, the report format was still in play.In other words, we would like the report when opened in Excel, to look just like it does when we open it as a CSV.I have tried to modify the config file a couple of times. Here is my latest attempt:
Extension Name="CSV" Type="Microsoft.ReportingServices.Rendering.DataRenderer.CsvReport,Microsoft.ReportingServices.DataRendering"> Â Â Â Â <OverrideNames> Â Â Â Â Â <Name Language="en-US">CSV (comma delimited)</Name> Â Â Â Â </OverrideNames> Â Â Â </Extension> Â Â Â <Extension Name="CSV" Type="Microsoft.ReportingServices.Rendering.DataRenderer.CsvReport,Microsoft.ReportingServices.DataRendering"> Â Â Â Â <OverrideNames> Â Â Â Â Â <Name Language="en-US">Excel (csv)</Name> Â Â Â Â </OverrideNames> Â Â Â </Extension>
Essentially I have set Visible = "false" for the Excel type, and tried to duplicate the CSV, changing the name to make it look to the user like it is "Excel". This fails. I checked the event viewer, and I see two entries.. The RSReportServer.config file has been modified. (Information)The value for UrlRoot in RSReportServer.config is not valid. The default value will be used instead.I literally took the file, opened it in Notepad, pasted in my changes, from another notepad window, and tried to run the report. I did not see EITHER of the two names I expected, using the OverrideNames tag. As I said earlier, I was able to affect the outcome, by setting SimpleHeaders to true (or however it is identified). That did work in that the page header and footer was removed.
Hello, I have a report that is made out of many subreports. It takes a long time to produce this report. Is there a away of knowing and displaying to the user which sub report is produced now? Is there a way of making status info sent to the UI? Somthing like OnStartPage/OnStartReport (now send status to UI somehow)?
I have log shipping every 15 minutes working between 2 servers, and while the secondary server reports everything ok (time since last copy, restore are all under 15 minutes), the primary server reports that the time since last backup is 7400+ minutes. I have verified that the LS backup job has no failures. How can I correct this false error state and get the primary server to start reporting actual statuses?
When I go into Report Manager, http://localhost/reports, and try running a report it is giving me this error message:
The request failed with HTTP status 401: Access Denied
But if I go directly to the Report Server, http://localhost/reportserver, and try running a report there then everything is fine.
Does anyone know why it is doing this all of a sudden? I did change the Reports app in ISS to allow anonymous access but have since changed it back, and it still gives this error.
I need to create a basic report that displays the userid, username, email, status and need to update the status column to enabled when we select any particular username. And the username parameter comes from the available users from the database. How to do this?
Do I need to mention the where clause where username=@username in the query or we don't need any
Also I need to get the available distinct usernames from the database while entering the parameter username
/*DECLARE variables to use IN queries*/ DECLARE @intErrorCode INT DECLARE @ErrorMessage VARCHAR(MAX) DECLARE @UserID INT SET @ErrorMessage = 'Completed.' SELECT [userid] ,
[code].....
Basically first I need to find the userid, username, accountstatus, email for a given particular user. Then I need to update the accountstatus to enabled for that selected user.
Also I need to create auditing that from before update and after update the accountstatus.
Below query tells us if guest user is enabled or disabled in a particular database
SELECT dp.name, CASE perms.class WHEN 0 THEN 'Yes' ELSE 'No' END AS 'Enabled' FROM sys.database_principals dp LEFT JOIN (SELECT grantee_principal_id, class FROM sys.database_permissions WHERE class = 0 AND type = 'CO' AND state = 'G') AS perms ON dp.principal_id = perms.grantee_principal_id WHERE dp.name = 'guest';
Do we have a query which can also add the database name to above query output? The output must have columns with data against Name,Enabled,Database name
Created Prod order status report, in status, we have different status
created =0 start =4 released =3 reported as finished =5 ended =7
I have the report, in report don't want to show the Prod order for ended status, how can I add the filter for this so it can show for all the other status not ended status. when I did on filter <7 , it did not work
Deployed Report having SSIS package as source do not work when Indirect Package configuration is used in ETL package. It seems ETL package when called/executed from Report manager does not recognize environment variable to pick up the dtsconfig file.
The Report works when Direct package configuration is used to same dtsconfig file.
What could be the reason? Any solution for this? This will cause our build/deployment to QA and Prod very difficult.
I need to get the output of a SSIS package in an Excel. I have made a Stored Procedure for getting the output, since the output has variable number of columns hence i have made a table through the stored procedure which is dynamically created when the procedure is executed. Now i have a table in SQL with the output data.
Hello, I have created a package that runs without problem. I run the package with the command dtexec /F "package_name.dtsx" > package_name.txt.
Then I run the same package from SQL Server Agent, everything is OK
Then, I tried to edit the command line to have the output file, but I got an error.
The command line is: dtexec /F "package_name.dtsx" MAXCONCURRENT "-1" / CHECKPOINTING OFF /REPORTING E > package_name.txt. (MAXCONCURRENT "-1" / CHECKPOINTING OFF /REPORTING E are created by default)
I created a SSIS package that has a flat file manager whose connection string is a package variable, the reason is that there is a foreachfile container loop to loop thru CSV format files in a directory and load them to a sql table.
The package execution is working in the designer studio as well as in the management studio-- a copy was saved to a sql 2005 server where a sql job is deployed to run the package. However when I ran the job, it claims successful but doesn€™t do anything in reality. If I checked the box failing the package upon validation warming, the job will fail with the error: the command line parameters are invalid. The command line looks like below:
One thing that I think maybe wrong is on the data source tab of the job step GUI, the flat file manager€™s connection string is blank, compared to other connection managers having related values.
I want to make a very simple package: Export all rows in a table to a flat file. This package I can create pretty much by only using the wizards. Now to my problems:
H is a header post, in this case with date and time following. D is a details post, that is all the rows that was exported. E is and end post, containing only the number of rows in the file, including H and E posts.
2) I need to set the file name dynamically, preferably using date and time to name the file.
I´ve done this very same thing in T-SQL, like so:
Code Snippet USE AVK GO SET TRANSACTION ISOLATION LEVEL SNAPSHOT; GO SELECT * FROM tempProducts GO CREATE VIEW EXPORT_ORDERS AS SELECT 1 AS ROW_ORDER, 'H' + REPLACE(CONVERT(char(8), GETDATE(), 112) + CONVERT(char(8), GETDATE(), 108), ':', '') AS Data_Line UNION ALL SELECT 2 AS ROW_ORDER, 'D' + COALESCE (CONVERT(char(10), LBTyp), '') + COALESCE (CONVERT(char(50), Description), '') + COALESCE (CONVERT(char(5), Volume), '') AS Data_Line FROM dbo.tempProducts UNION ALL SELECT 3 AS ROW_ORDER, 'E' + RIGHT('0000000000' + RTRIM(CONVERT(char(13), COUNT(*) + 2)), 11) AS Data_Line FROM dbo.tempProducts AS tempProducts_1 GO IF @@ROWCOUNT > 0 BEGIN BEGIN TRANSACTION SELECT * FROM tempProducts DECLARE @date char(8) DECLARE @time char(8) DECLARE @sql VARCHAR(150) SELECT @date = CONVERT(char(8), getdate(),112) SELECT @time = CONVERT(char(8), getdate(),108) SELECT @time = REPLACE(@time,':','')
DECLARE @dt char(14) SELECT @dt = @date + '_' + @time SELECT @sql = 'bcp "SELECT Data_Line FROM avk..EXPORT_ORDERS ORDER BY ROW_ORDER" queryout "c:AVK_' + @dt + '.txt" -c -t -U sa -P dalla' EXEC master..xp_cmdshell @sql
--WAITFOR DELAY '0:00:10'; DELETE FROM tempProducts
COMMIT TRANSACTION END DROP VIEW EXPORT_ORDERS GO
But I´m sure it can be done in SSIS aswell, giving me some nice options for i.e. error handling aswell. Pointers please
Hello All,I am trying to create a DTS package.I have two tables tbl_A and tbl_B with similar data/rows but noprimary keys.tbl_A is master.I would like this package to query tbl_A and tbl_B and find1)all rows in tbl_A that are different in tbl_B, 2)all rows in tbl_Athat are not present in tbl_B and3)all rows in tbl_B that are not present in tbl_A, and then just showthose rows.Can this be done with a simple UNION?Perhaps this could produce a temp Table that can be dropped once theDTS package exists successfully.The 2nd part after all the above rows are retrieved is that I wouldlike to add an addional Column to the retrieved data called STATUSwhich has 3 possible values(letters) at the end of each row...M (modified) means that row exists in tbl_B but has 1 or moredifferent columnsA (add) means this row exists in tbl_A but not in tbl_BD (delete) means this row exists in tbl_B but not in tbl_AI'm hopping this DTS package would output a nice comma seperated TXTfile with only...1) rows from tbl_A that are different in tbl_B (STATUS M)2) rows from tbl_A that are not present in tbl_B (STATUS A)3) rows from tbl_B that are not present in tbl_A (STATUS D)Can a DTS package in MS SQL be used to perfom all of the above tasks?I would very much appreciate any help or any advise.Thanks in advance :-)
I have read a few other posts about how to merge multiple report output files into a single document e.g. a single pdf. There are a few approaches: 1) Generate post script files and then merge and oprint via a post script driver. 2) Generate seperate pdf files and then merge them into single document using a custom library.
I have a third idea and would appreciate any input:
Dynamically generate a RDL file that contains sub-reports, one for each report required in the final document, publish and run this as the final report. This could happen way before actually running the report i.e. the user has a tool where they select reports for a pack, tool then generates new RDL file and publishes it to sql reporting services, gets run at some later point in time.
Some challenges: -Generate a table of contents with page numbering? -Layout of sub-reports, not sure how they would be rendered across multiple pages? -Managing parametes across sub-reports at run time.
When running a package in VS you can see something like this in the output window:

This is exactly when I need when a package is running but I want to be able to see it without using Visual Studio. I would do it in Reporting Services but I need to find out to get the information. The SSIS logging feature in a package does not provide that kind of info.
I just created my first report using sql server reporting services
Now I am having some data discrepancies, trying to figureout how I can troubleshoot this issue. The report has been created against the stored proc, when I run the stored proc within the sqlserver, I get 3 rows, but when I run the report I get only 1 row. I am kind of confused, how can I troubleshoot this issue, Thanks.
I have a table which has few columns as Numeric value. I need to export the output into a csv file as a report with column headers. I have used bcp command. Here column name and Column Header name is the same. The BCP query which i have used is Below
I have a rather complicated report with lots and lots of textbox and line controls. When I preview the report on the Report Server the layout is all kinds of skewed and all kinds of stuff is out of place. But when I export the report to PDF or TIFF, the output reverts to it's proper form. Why is it doing this? Is there anything that I can do to not make it so ugly when previewing?

select au_id from titleauthor
where titleauthor.royaltyper = @percentage

NULL NULL NULL NULL //////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////// I try to do an ADO.NET 2.0-VB 2005 programming in my VB 2005 Express to get @percentage printed out in the VB Form1. I read some articles in the websites and MSDN about this task and I am very confused about "How to Work with Output Parameters & Report their Values in VB Forms": (1) Do I need the Form.vb [Design] and specify its properties of the object and classes I want to printout? (2) After the SqlConnectionString and the connection.Open(), how can I bring the value of @percentage to the Form.vb? (3) The following is my imcomplete, crude draft code:
Dim connectionString As String = "Data Source=.SQLEXPRESS;Initial Catalog=pubs;Integrated Security=SSPI;"
Dim connection As SqlConnection = New
SqlConnection(connectionString)
Try
connection.Open()
Dim command As SqlCommand = New SqlCommand("byroyalty", connection)
command.CommandType = CommandType.StoredProcedure ................................................................... .................................................................. etc. //////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////// From the above-mentioned (1), (2) and (3), you can see how much I am lost/confused in attempting to do this task. Please help and give me some guidances and good key instructions for getting the output parameter printed out in the FORM.vb in my VB 2005 Express project.
