I want to create a report (report Services) that shows information from start date to end date.
Which function I use to calculate the start date considering that:
end date= today
number of days = -31 days
start day = today - 31 days.

I have a QA Deployment Date field that is being returned in a custom report I created. I also found a sample date range parameter:
What I want to accomplish:
I want to select a From and To Date and filter the report to only display the rows that have the QA Deployment Date within the selected range.
For example.. I want to select From Date (8/1/2105) and To Date (8/31/2015) and I only want to return only the results that have a QA Deployment date between that selected range.
I have a report that I need to run on 2 different date ranges.
Both report's data is 2 days behind today's date.
so...
WHERE reportdate between dateadd('d',date(),-2) and dateadd('d',date(),-2)
OR SOMETHING LIKE THAT, NO BIGGIE HERE
The 2nd report is a month to date report. This is the 1 I can't figure out.
WHERE reportdate between (the first day of this month) and dateadd('d',date(),-2)
So that would look like
WHERE reportdate between 1/1/2007 and 1/21/2007
My problem is, if today is the 1st day of the month... how can I get my critiera to NOT do this
WHERE reportdaye between 2/1/2007 and 1/30/2007

I am attempting to create a subscription that will send a report whose name would have been formatted to the following: ReportName_MMDDYYYY.
I know this can be done by creating a Windows File Share subscription type, but in this case, I would need to use E-Mail.
In this scenario, the user will receive the email and included, the file formatted as described above.
Is there a way to get it done ?
Since migrating Reporting Services from SQL 2005 to SQL 2008, the Last Run date, visible on the Details view of reports in a folder under Report Manager, has been blank. I would hope that this is supposed to be populated and equivalent to the "When Run" date visible in the 2005 version of Report Manager. Any setting that needs to be configured in order for this to show, or if this has been reported as a bug?

I have a report which will one day display some data from an analysis services cube. my first step is to create a drop down parameter enabling the user to choose the date. I'd like to display only dates that have data, and I'd like it to default to today.
So I've created a dataset that will be the datasource for the dropdown displaying the available non-empty dates, which works fine.

I am trying to calculate age from a date that is short. I have 5.5 million rows and the format looks like this 1945-01-01. I have my query which is:

Is the '1/1/2015' the correct way to format if I want a person's age as of 1/1/2015? The output looks like this:

In SSRS report I have 2 parameters start date and end date, so when somebody is selecting end date more than a month(if today date is 22 then they are selecting aug 23) then it should give error message to user like "Date out of range".

I'm trying to build a report that calculates a summary of all my applicants based on the center they're enrolled in.
I have built a table that displays all applicants and sorts them by the center and I can use the count function to get a count of ALL applicants for all centers, but not a count of each center in one report:
example:

We are maintaining 3 Shifts in our database. Problem in maintaining date and time for 3rd Shift. For example, today date is 13th July and third shift timing is 11 PM - 7 AM. Then I have to display the beginning date as 13/07/2015 11 PM and end date as 14/07/2015 7 AM. Please find the data(in seconds) available in database which I need to use for my calculation.

I have a report which queries events occurring during the reporting time frame the user selects.
A user selects arrivalDateStart as 8/1/2015 and arrivalDateEnd as 12/31/2015 and the results are returned.
The issue is that there is an event that began 7/31/2015 and ends 8/2/2015. This does not appear on the report. The user does not want to have to pick an earlier arrival date as the parameter of his report to pick up anything that was already in progress prior to the beginning of the month.
I am trying to figure out how to add an expression that will also return events that are in progress over the arrival date chosen for the report.
I made one report in SSRS 2008 in which getting data from one SharePoint List.

I am using query which I created with CAML.
query is running well and data is coming correctly if I run this on Query designer.and date format must be YYYY-MM-DD.but when I try to run through on run time then the date control is showing format dd/mm/yyyy.
I change the regional settings of windows and SharePoint site to English(United States). and when I select date control it is also putting date in format like "YYYY-MM-DD'. and in that format report is working well in Query designer view.But on run time still it is not working.

As I play with joins and functions to help mold my data.. I'm

I have a status table with termination status entries that will
dictate participation spans for members.. a member can have multiple
stop and start status entries in that status table. I've built an
sql function that given a member's ID and a month/year will return the
number of days the member particpated in the month.
I need to produce an SSRS report that given a starting month/year
will report days of activity for every member for the next four months.
So my report will look like this:
memberid 2007/06 2007/07 2007/08 2007/09

Should I build a view that given the starting yearmonth returns
month1 - 4's data in a row?
or is there a smarter design? Possibly a row for each month? or SSRS
formulas? Maybe the formula is gonna be a performance killer.

When viewing a report our users see that it is x number of pages, however when they print the report is actually y number of pages. For example once a report is ran, it says that it is 43 pages, however in actuality it is 62 pages. If they only want to print the last page, they choose to print 43 from the print dialog box, but that gives them a page in the middle of the report not the last page. Is there a way to remedy this?

I have two tables - one with dates at the end of each month (10/31, 11/30, 12/31, et al) that's linked to a data table containing client signups. While I can get the count per month in a pivot table, I'm trying to calculate the beginning count of each month.
How do I use calculate or something similar to sum the count of records created minus count of records closed prior to the beginning of the period?
The pivot looks like this right now and works by month:
beginning active records ?????
count of records created 100
count of records deleted 50
net records created 50
running balance in net records created 100 (theoretically the next month's beginning balance, but can't figure out how to reference or calculate)
I am having trouble with calculating AVG in a matrix. I have done the subtotal but I would like to know how to calculate the Average. I would also like AVA below the Total.

I'd like to find a method of returning the nth percentile of a field without creating a new dataset and filtering out the top/bottom n%. Although the method I've found does work it involves creating more datasets and I'd like to find a more efficient way of achieving this.

I have 2 dates as input. The main date and reference date (Last date of previous year) of the main date.
At the moment I manually insert the values for main date and reference date, but I only one to select the main date and automatically insert in the first column of the matrix report the reference date.
