Can’t Find The “Data Mining Web Controls Project�

Hello Experts,
Sorry that I have to ask again, because the question is a FAQ but I can€™t find the €œData Mining Web Controls Project€? I have to deploy.
I downloaded and installed the first five examples from the page http://www.codeplex.com/MSFTDBProdSamples/Release/ProjectReleases.aspx?ReleaseId=4004
But no one contains the expected project. Could somebody help me please? I can€™t start with my project because I can€™t use the Viewers.

I have installed SQL CE 3.0 on my Device.
When I try to make new database on my devcie using Qurey Analyser 3.0 , it gives "ISQLW Provider Failed... ". When I try Deploye SQL CE 3.0 Database Application using F5 in VS2005 , it give an error "Can€™t find P/Invoke DLL sqlceme30.dll".Plz tell me How can i resolve that problem.
I would like to use the Data Mining Web Controls which ship with the MSSQL2005 Beta 2. The installer (BetaAnalysisServicesSamples.MSI) is supposed to create a new virtual directory and should also create the DataMiningHTMLViewers.dll according to "ReadMe_Data_Mining_Web_Controls.rtf"
But the MSI only creates a few new directories with the source code and a deployment project (DMHTMLViewersSetup.vdproj) which won't open with VS2003. The solution apears to be for VS2005.
I have SQL 2005 and Visual Studio 2005 and I´m trying to install the Data Mining Web Controls. I downloaded the SQL Samples and I´m following the instructions of the "ReadMe_Data_Mining_Web_Controls.htm" file, but when I try to install de data mining web controls the setup.exe does´nt create the folder "C:Program FilesMicrosoft.AnalysisServices.DataMiningHtmlViewers " and the folder "C:Inetpubwwwrootaspnet_clientmicrosoft_analysisservices_datamininghtmlviewers ".
Then, I don´t have the file "C:Program FilesMicrosoft.AnalysisServices.DataMiningHtmlViewersMicrosoft.AnalysisServices.DataMiningHTMLViewers.dll " for using the web controls.
My problem is about using Data mining web controls in asp.net 2005. My SQL Server 2005 is not SP2. My problem is whenever i want to use desicion tree viewer in aspx page it gives me an error : "Error: Error (Data mining): The specified DMX column was not found in the context at line 1, column 69". I have populated database,model,tree,server properties in design time and connection property ( An oledb connection) by code-behind with that connection string :

The control is being added programatically, as in the wiinforms samples. Can anyone suggest a workaround? Thank you in advance.
Hi, I am porting a massive VB6 project to ASP.net 2005. Most of the code is fine, however because the original developers used lots of data controls and my own time restrictions I thought to replicate the functionality by using Sqldatasource controls instead. These data controls are bound to DBtruegrids. The project has has lots of code like... AdodcOrders.Recordset.RecordCount > 0 or If AdodcOrders.Recordset.EOF or AdodcOrders.Recordset.MoveNext() or AdodcDetail.Recordset!FieldName The problem is the sqldatasource control doesn't have a recordset/dataset property which I can access and manipulate, or does it? What should I do to get round these? The project has thousands of lines like this in so its not feasible to rewrite it (although if I could I would!). Any suggestions please gratefully appreciated. many thanks mike
I am wondering where can I store my mining results in data mining engine? For example, I got mining results like accuracy chart, decision trees, and other formats of results based on different mining algorithms I used for my data mining, so where can I actually store the results for reporting service use later? Is it possible to do that in SQL Server 2005?

I’m using VB.NET to extract data from an Access database, simple enough. However, I type in the following line:
Sql = "SELECT * FROM [IPAddressList] WHERE [StartIPNo]>=" & IP_Address And "[EndIPNo]<=" & IP_Address
It doesn’t work.
If I type in: Sql = "SELECT * FROM [IPAddressList] WHERE [StartIPNo]>=" & IP_Address The above sql line works.
I now realize SQL commands is very sensitive.

As the title says I stupidly deleted the BuiltinAdministrator group now can€™t login. Is there anyway get back in? I did not setup the server up so I€™m unsure what the SA password is. As a last resort could I rebuild the Master database and then over write if backup?
Can€™t understand the Query execution interval, for every one criteria it takes extra 60 seconds. Help please?,

This query same as above but " AND STOCKNAME like 'A%'" Criteria only added but it takes 01 minute 43 seconds to return result. why it is like that where i need to adjust the query i have no idea. please help
Hi, I have just run a simple data set through a model to predict a simple true or false value (i.e. binary output) The Lift Chart/Mining Legend in Analysis Services shows three results €“ Score, Population Correct (%), and Predict Probability (%)
Population Correct I beleive is the percentage of predictions it got right out of the total number of predictions it tried to make. Is this correct?
However, I can€™t work out how the other two are derived in particular the 'SCORE'. To give a live example the scores were as follows:
Model Score Pop Correct Pred Probability Decision Trees 0.83 76.59% 54.28% Neural Network 0.75 67.63% 50.05% Ideal Model 100.00%

I am trying to model data in analysis services with the Advance Create Mining Model function in the excel addin. I am having trouble creating an association model that works like the Associate button above the Advanced button.
The format of my data is like this
OrderID Product
100 Bike
100 Helmet
100 Shoes
200 Helmet
200 basketball
200 Bat
300 Shoes
300 Socks
The associate button works perfectly since it asks me which column is the transaction id (orderid) and which column I am trying to predict (product). The advanced create mining model asks me to determine what the columns are...
OrderID=key Product=Input+Predict?
When I run the advance create mining model associate, I get a browser that gives me no rules and the support for only one item itemset (each product but no combination of products).
Does anyone know what I have to do to get it to work like the associate button?
Clean vista install, Clean full office 2007plus install Clean visual studio 2008pro install Many failed sql 2005dev installed, did SKUUPGRADE-1 Now have office2007 Smallbiz, VS2008pro, SqlExpress and sql 2005dev installed. Note outlook 2007 error on first run after sql2005dev. Seams to have broken and created a new sql connection, don€™t think its the original. but that€™s not the current issue ! web admin page error, could not connect to db I did regsql.exe from the net dir and the web admin work and the db is created for roles and such in vs 2008 via web admin page and mssql. Managed to create db in apps data folder and modify connection in server explorer. Added table to aspx page from apps folder and it runs via f5, but errors under localhost. €œCannot open user default database. Login failed.€? €œLogin failed for user 'NT AUTHORITYNETWORK SERVICE'€? Have seen some reference to iis permissions, but not sure what to change? I would like to develop an application that can create Data Mining structures and a mining model in SQL Server 2005 with VB.NET. I tried the code from book Data Mining with SQL server 2005 in chapter 14 but did not work. Any good idea?

I tried the code but initially I have encounter the following problems.
1. In any line that have the declaration As Server, As Database like in Public Function CreateDatabase(ByVal srv As Server, ByVal databaseName As String) As Database gives me the problem that type Database is not declared the same type Server is not declared and it does not give me any option.
2. In addition to that for As DataSource, As RelationalDataSource, As RelationalDataSourceView, As ScalarMiningStructureColumn, As DataSourceViewBinding, gives me the problem that type is not declared.
3. Finally in mc = New MiningModelColumn("Yearly income", Utils.GetSyntacticallyValidID("Yearly income", Type.GetType(MiningModelColumn))) is not accesible in this context because it is 'Private'. I have some more problems but I thing that by solving the above that I referred I will solve the rest.
I perform data mining on all products and a specific product category. Do I need to create 2 data source views, one for all products and the other one for the specific product category? Afterward, I run the Data Mining Wizard 2 times to create 2 mining structures. I also need to add the same mining model (e.g. Bayes, Cluster) to each of these mining structures. Is there any simple way to do it?
I just found that I am not able to view the accuracy chart for my mining model. The error message is: no mining models are selected for comparision. Which is quite strange.

Errors in the metadata manager. The data type of the '~CaseDetail ~MG-Fact Voic~6' measure must be the same as its source data type. This is because the aggregate function is not set to count or distinct count.
Is the problem due to the data type of the column used in the mining structure is Long, and the underlying field in the cube has a type of BigInt,or am I barking up the wrong tree?
I'm a beginner with SQL 2012 SSDT & SSMS. I get this error message when I try to deploy my project:Â
"Error 6 Error (Data mining): KEY SEQUENCE columns are not supported at the case level. The 'Customer Key' column of the 'TK448 Ch09 Cube Clustering' mining structure contains content that is not valid. 0 0 " I am finding it hard to locate the content that is not valid. I've been trying to find a answer for this problem but can't seem to find anything. How can I locate the content that is not valid and change or delete it so that I can deploy this solution?
- a data mining structure with about 80 columns. - a data mining model using Microsoft_Decision_Trees with 2 prediction columns.Â
I thought I would then explore the possibility of have more than 2 prediction columns, in this case 20.
I get an error message and I can't work out : a) if this is because there's a limit to the maximum number of prediction columns and where that maximum is stated. b) if something else has become corrupted c) there's a know bug and if the error message is either meaningful or not.

I am using Microsoft_Time_Series and have set HISTORIC_MODEL_GAP to various values (from 1 to 21). I always get this error: Error (Data mining): The 'HISTORIC_MODEL_GAP' data mining parameter is not valid for the 'My Time Series' model.
In Algorithm Parameters window, this parameters is not there by default, so I have to add it.
Implementing data mining Add-in in an academic setting? We need to handle over 150 new students a semester and have their connection to Analysis Services survive for their four years at the college. We are introducing data mining to every freshman business student as a unit within their Intro to Excel class (close to a month of work to give them a sense of what is possible). Other courses later in their curriculum will expand on that introduction.Â
Once implemented, we would have as many as 900 connections to manage (four years from now). It is possible that multiple sections will be running at the same time, so 40 students may be accessing the data mining tools concurrently. Â
Is there a way to "bulk establish" the access credentials and establish those databases?

With SASS Database i have created Data mining Structure Using Time series algorithm, while processing the SSAS db, Data mining  taking long time to process, so how we can  reduce processing time ???
I've tried those two operations in the Management Studio. Though we can create a mining structure and mining model in Management Studion, but we cannot process the analysis-service database.
(1) I create only a mining structure through CREATE MINING STRUCTURE. No error reported. But if I process the analysis-service database in Management Studio I always get error
'Error : The '<mining_structure__name>' structure does not contain bindings to data (or contain bindings that are not valid) and cannot be processed.
I then tried to create it by creating and running an XMLA script. It was successful. However, it's much harder to learn XMLA.
If any of you created an analysis-service database in Mgt Studio, and create a mining structure in the same place using DMX script, can you process the database?
(2) Is there any use of CREATE MINING STRUCTURE operation without binding to any table? Examples I saw so far did not show relating it to do. In my experience processing the analysis-service database with that mining structure is doomed to fail.
(3) Is there any way we can create mining structure through CREATE MINING
STRUCTURE operation in Management Studio and use RELATED TO clause
to bind it to any Relationship to an attribute column (mandatory only if it applies), indicated by the RELATED TO clause
(4) If this is the fact, is there any use of CREATE MINING STRUCTURE operation? If we use BI Dev Studio, it's much easier to use the wizard.
(5) I found I cannot create a mining model inside a mining structure through operation CREATE MINING MODEL. If you call that operation, you end up having a mining model and a mining structure with the same name. I found that in order to create a mining model inside a mining structure you have to call operation ALTER MINING STRUCTURE ADD MINING MODEL. Is it true this is the only way?
Hi, i'm very new to asp and i have a small question - If i have a control on my webpage, like "CurrentUser" (which is System.Web.UI.WebControls.LoginName), how can i use it in a query? I want a query which will return all records pertaining to the current user.
