Hello, I just installed the FormsAuthentication Sample and when I goto http://localhost/reports I get the logon page and I can register the user id ok, but after that when go back and type my username and password and click logon it gives me this:

every 1 hour my server's computer is restarting ! when the windows finish restarting i open the Event viewer and see that what coused it is the error :
"Report Server Windows Service (MSSQLSERVER) cannot connect to the report server database." Event 107 source : "Report Server Windows Service (MSSQLSERVER)"
Im trying to use VB.net 2005 to write a sample app to access a DB. Are there any samples for this and any samples of how I go about making the DB in the first place?
I created a custom security extenstion that worked great - except every call to
FormsAuthentication.RedirectFromLoginPage would result in a
"The return URL specified for request redirection is invalid." error type message.
I reverted back to windows security with no problem. Then used the Microsoft Forms Security example thinking maybee I had improperly implemented the interface.
When the forms security example provided by microsoft was configured I still get
"The return URL specified for request redirection is invalid." error type message.

I'm trying to get the MOSS + Reporting Services + SP2 all working together using Forms Authentication. The readme file that was shipped with the SQL SP2 CTP seems to suggest that this is a supported configuration.
I've got everything setup and configured - I've tested in using Windows Integrated mode for my MOSS front end and my report renders absolutely fine. When I try to switch the Authentication Provider to Forms Authentication mode, when I click the report, I'm now getting an error message that states: "The item 'http://moss:8003/Reports/Company%20Sales.rdl' cannot be found. (rsItemNotFound)".

What is the ReportViewerWebPart doing to gain access to the RDL file in my document library? Is it trying to access it through a web service? Do I need to do something so that it can maintain the Forms Authentication cookie provided to the end user that clicked the report?
I read that this sample is included, however when I install the samples the other three are in the "Extension Samples" directory but the "Custom Report Item Sample" is missing. Can anybody please tell me where I can find it?
Books online mention the existence of sample code for several custom tasks, including the one mentioned in the title. But, when I try to find this code in the location mentioned it is nowhere to be found.
I have run a search on the rest of my drive and come up empty.
How to achieve by using SSRS. How we can "quick run" report within the subscription menu to ensure report was set up correctly during creation.  Is there any way to generate sample subscriped report without waiting for scheduled time.
I mean whether we can verify the report parameters & data in generated the report. I have verified SSRS report manager .i cant see any button or option to test run the report in subscription feature.
Is there a way to handle an event when the report viewer has completed loading the report? I have handled the report viewer load event but also want to handle an event for when it has completed loading.
I am wanting this because the "report is being generated" message is far off of the screen when I use a large report viewer.
So, on page load I simply make a textbox visible that says "report is being generated". When it completes generating the report, I want it to make that message invisible.
The disposed and unload events don't seem to handle this correctly.

The Event Log Summary report is showing a negative value for #Abort. Why is the aborted count negative?
My SQL Server 2005 SP4 on Windows 2008 R2 is flooded with the below errors:-

I have been testing with the WMI Event Watcher Task, so that I can identify a change to a file. The WQL is thus:

This polls every 30 secs and in the SSIS Event (ActionAtEvent in the WMI Task is set to fire the SSIS Event) I have a simple script task that runs a message box).
My understanding is that the event polls every 30 s and if there is a change on the AdventureWorks.bak file then the event is triggered and the script task will run producing the message. However, when I run the package the message is occurring every 30s, meaning the event is continually firing even though there has been NO change to the AdventureWorks.bak file.
Am I correct in my understanding of how this should work and if so why is the event firing when it should not ?

We want to replace Access/ SQL Server Express/MSDE with a lightweight server with a small footprint, and I've got the assignment to evaluate SQL Server 2005 Everywhere using MFC. The application we want to replace the database in is MFC and not yet converted to VS 2005. I have no previous experience with OLE DB, and a very limited experience using MFC. I was hoping someone could provide me with a sample application using SQL/e with OLE DB, and some good references to getting started. If anyone knows of any good Libraries to simplify the implementation of OLE DB for me, that would be great. I'm currently looking into Express OLE DB Library from Sypram, but having some compilation issues.
I've tried to read the OLE DB tutorial at msdn library, but so far it feels very abstract and seems quite complex compared to ADO providers in C# which most of my exprience is from.
I tried using the MFC Wizard in VS2005 to create a single document application. When selecting the SQL Server 2005 Everywhere OLE DB Provider for Windows and then selecting a table from the data source, Visual Studio crashes with an unhandeled win32 exception (I've reported this bug at labs.msdn.microsoft.com). So I haven't really gotten a good idea on how to use the OLE DB driver for SQL/e.
Does anyone know if there are any plans on providing an ODBC driver for SQL/e? I haven't been able to find any so far.
I am looking for C++ example using SQL Server Compact Edition 3.5. I managed to compile and run the "northwindoledb" c++ example, but still, I am looking for source code to 3.5 (And not 3.1).
We recently upgraded to SQL 2005 from SQL 2000. We have most of our issues ironed out however about every 1 minute there is a message in the Application Event log and the SQL log that states:
EVENT ID 18456 Login Failed for the users DOMAIN/ACCOUNT [CLIENT: <local machine>]
This is a state 16 message which I thought meant that the account does not have access to the default database. The account is actually the account that the SQL services run under.
Any ideas? We can't seem to figure this one out. We actually upgraded to 2005 from 2000 and had an error appear after every reboot that prevented the SQL Agent from running(This application has failed to start because GAPI32.dll was not found. Re-installing the application may fix this problem.) We did a full uninstall of SQL and reinstalled fresh and restored the databases from .bak files and that is when the EVENT ID 18546 started occuring every minute.
We don't have any SQL heavy hitters here so please be detailed with any possible solutions. That you very much for any help you can provide!
What are the AdventureWorksDBCI.ms and AdventureWorksBICI.msi used for? I try to run it, but it return the message "Another version of this product is already installed" and ask me remove the old version of this product. Anybody know what I should remove?
Ok... so the microsoft documentation talks about the Sql Server Custom Connection Manager Sample all over the place. And I look to my machine after installing the samples and its not there. So I go to microsoft site and it says that the code samples are now hosted on this codeplex website. You follow the link and nothing is there for the sample. Can anyone show me exactly where I can get this sample? I find lots of people with issues trying to find and download it.. so I know i'm not the only one.
When I registered SQL Server Express I received an e-mail back showing all of the resources available to get started. There were 6 Starter Kits available, Teacher, Colection Manager, Amazon Enabled Movie Collection, and three others. When I click on the links to download the Starter Kits, the link comes back as invalid. Can you provide the correct links to use to get the Starter Applications, or can you e-mail me code? Is it that I have a syntax error in the nested OPENQUERY or is there another issue? Do I need to specify a different provider in the Server Link such as OLEDB? Non-nested OPENQUERYs work fine.

In desparation I tried returning the case key (CardTransactionID) and the predictive column elements but I get an error when I try that. I assume this is a no-no?
