Hi All,
Originally when I installed SSRS, I set all to default vlues.
Once I configured reporting server configurations to default values, can i change it later..I try to do that but it does not allow me to do that.
When I click new in reportserver virtual directory, it brings up the dafualt web site.
How do I change this?

In SQL Rep Serv Config Manager under Web Service Identity, the ASp.NET Service account is disabled and if I enter the Report Server application pool into Report Server and Report Manager it brings back:
Setting Web Service Identity
There was an error setting the identity for the web service. The previosly set identity will still be used.
ReportServicesConfigUI.WMIProvider.WMIProviderException: An unknown error has occurred in the WMI Provider. Error Code 80070005
at ReportServicesConfigUI.WMIProvider.RSReportServerAdmin.SetWebServiceIdentity(String applicationPool)

In SSIS SP1, if you use a .dtsconfig file that references a non-existent object in your package then you get a warning.
I don't have a pre-SP1 install to hand so I can't test it out but I seem to remember that pre-SP1 this used to cause an error.
Can anyone confirm that this behaviour has been changed in SP1?

I have two servers one is 32-bt SQL 2005 with sp1 and ther other is 64-bit SQ: 2005 Sp2. I have one Reporting Service report using martix with two row groups and one column group, but the report has different result on different server for the Inscope function. IIF(Inscope("Martix_Column_Group2"), 1, 2). On 32-bit server the result for the Row Sub Total is 1 for the "Martix_Column_Group2" and 2 for the Martix_Column_Group1. On 64-bit the result for the Row Sub Total is 2. Why that happen?

The user "admin" is a admininstor and I assign the following group to it
(1) administors

Which and Where I must assign the permissions to this account?

Suppose in my table i have 300 records. In that 300 records i want to update first 100 records with today's date. 101 to 200 records with yesterday's date and 201 to 300 records with tomorrow's date.

I have a task where I'm dealing with Employee information. I load this data on a daily basis where I capture Name,Is_Active,Address information of the employee and I do truncate and load operation. Now I have a task to have a additional column called 'Statuschanged_dt' and have to capture the date when Is_Active changed from 'Yes' to 'No'. I know this can done in multiple ways like destination lookup, SCD and also CDC.

I had a question from a client today who asked if its possible to change it to French_CI_AS as they have issues with importing data from flat files using SSIS package. The issue they are facing is with different french characters and also numeric values with a scale... All their "user" databases are French_CI_AS as is the Instance collation.I'm guessing its not supported to change the collation of SSISDB as when i attempted on a "test" instance i get.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI just moved our SSRS server from one machine to another. It was sending our report emails from a service account. So when my end users get the emailed report it was from a service account (reports@blah.com) .
Now that I moved the DB to another server - the reports get emailed successfully - but they are being sent from my email address!
I have checked the rsreportserver config file. I also checked in the report server smtp setup and they both show the service account. I even checked the subscription owners and accounts.
SSRS is using my account, but I can't find where it's getting it from. Where else can I look?
Is there a way of taking a result from a query and pulling out a certain account number and displaying those account numbers - as fred? Eg. I have a drop down of account number (s) however they pull from a table that only displays them as account numbers. I would like to give more a description to certain account numbers that are pulled. Eg. account number 234 will be fred and account number 555 will be sam etc. Trying to add it to the query on the dataset is complicated, so I was wondering if I created an additional blank field with an expression to be able to do this?

I am working on 1 POC project.I have 2 customer having source file in txt format, but the column sequence of both customer are diffrent.Number of columns in all files are like below.

As per source file you can see that CustA have column sequence ID,NAME,AGE and CustB Have ID,AGE,NAME sequence .I have target table #Temp with ID,NAME,AGE sequence.Like that I have many files from both customer, I have to load in ID,NAME,AGE sequence from all source file to target table.How can we change the sequence of source column before loading to target table.
I have built an SSRS report and fetching my data from an ERP system, previously we have done the same way and the reports are working fine, but only one report which is also working fine but when the values displayed in Preview or Excel, we cannot see values in Excel, when we click on the cell we can see the values in formula bar, but not in the cell. When we select the cell and change the color it will then display the values. In this report many of the values are displayed correctly, but some are not displayed, so every time we need to change the color of entire report. This is causing issues to the end users.

I can not find out how to do a percent change (the column in red) subtracting just the final or most right two columns of the resulting matrix columns, not an average or some other function over the entire row....

I am fairly new to reporting services and recently created a simple tabular report. There is one table which queries the database and I would like to change the table so there are more than 25 rows of data per page. How do I do this? Also it would be advantageous to know how to set the report to only create a new page for every different item in a column. E.g., if I have various data for each date, I would like to only create a new page when the date changes so that all data for a specific date is on one page etc etc.

The scale on the right side is the finished good which has a min qty of 383 while the highest is 52439. how can i set this scale that start from 0 to 300 and soon. right now under scale properties I set the max to 60000, the min is set to auto while in the interval properties i set this to 10000. I tried to change table entries for dbo.Schedule and dbo.Subscriptions but the reports did not run. I also know that here are Jobs in the SQL Server Agent for the schedules. Now I need to understand how the mechanism works that updates the job entries from database tables. Is there a stored procedure which can be used?
In an existing SSRS 2012 report, I have a requirement for a user to be able to select by multiple school(s) and/or multiple grade(s). This is fine except certain schools like elementary have grade levels of KG to 06, Middle school has grades of 06 to 09 and high school has grades of 10 to 12. Thus for example, if a user has initially selected grades 11 and 12 and then they select an elementary school that has grades KG through 06, the 'grade level' selection would need to change.In other words, I am thinking of initially having the available and default values for the parameter called 'Grade' set to KG through 12. However if a school is selected that only has specific grade levels like elementary school, how can I override the original grade level and only allow the user to select grades that the particular school contains?
