The current action cannot be completed because the user data source credentials that are required to execute this report are not stored in the report server database. (rsInvalidDataSourceCredentialSetting)
I am trying to capture an error message and email to myself whenever the script has an error. I have an email task event handler on OnError and use the variable errormsg as my email body. I have the errormsg variable with a package wide scope defined as string with a value of @[System::ErrorDescription]. Is there anything elso I need to do to make this work?
Can somebody guive me alittle guidance in how to make this? I have like 4 lookups but some can throw errors, and I need to know what happened when I go to the office in the moorning.
Env: SQL Server 2000 Reporting Services - 8.00.1042.00 on Windows Server 2003 SP1 - Microsoft Windows NT 5.2.3790.0
I configured a report subscription to send an email out, but I did not realize that the mail send was tied to my account. When someone removed my windows login from the local admin group, the report delivery errored with:
"Failure sending mail: The permissions granted to user '<Domain><user>' are insufficient for performing this operation."
My login has been reinstated, but how do I configure the send mail to use a different account? Note that he report server is running under the "NT AuthorityNetworkService" account (unfortunately). I'm hoping I don't have to deal with the unattended execution account because the docs on that are awkward.
I am trying to explore the email task in SSIS. I have a task which has only the email task. When I run its not throwing any error instead it says successfuly run but I am not recieving mail. I dont know how to trace this, could someone help me on this?
I have a report that gets sends out through a subscription and sometimes the report has multiple pages and all those pages appear within one email. Is it possible to set the subscription in such a way that an email is sent per page when the subscription executes.
Under IIS SMTP I can set bounced email redirect etc. how to do that with dbmail, the idea is I can get the list of bounced emails somewhere so I can create a report.
Question 1: SQL TimeOut Error I get this when i run my program and when it happens the program no longer displays data from the database. When i restart the program it seems to work fine. Is there away to fix this or at least make a message to the user telling them to restart the program?
Question 2: Can I e-mail form info to myself? I want the user to be able to fill a form and click submit and have it emailed to myself. how can i go about doing that?
{Edit}The Below is for a different project Question 3: Picture Box' and SQL Can I make it so the user a browse for a picture as his Avatar or Just his Picture and the save it to the Database again?
ie Fill In This Form To Complete Registration: Picture: {Pic Box Goes Here} [Browse] Name: Date of Birth: (at this point im going to stop)
I have a SQL Task that executes some stored procedure. When a condition is met the stored procedure raises an error by calling RAISERROR (@ErrorMessage,16,1). Following the SQL Task I have Send Mail Task that sends an error email.
I would like to know how to include the @ErrorMessage in the error email.
I need to setup an email alerts with Jobs errors ( with error logs is it possible ) on nightly basis.
example:
Job name : Full backup | Status : Error | error log : 'The job failed 12........' Job name : Delta Backup| Status : Error | error log : 'The job failed 123........' Job name : Cleanup DB | Status : Error | error log : 'The job failed 1234........'
(NOTE: FROM a NON-IT PERSON) We've implented SQL 2005 and Reporting Services, but our subscriptions only work internally: when we try to send reports via subscriptions to valid external email addresses, we get a message: invalid email address and the entire subscription does not work.. PLEASE ADVISE. IT WILL BE GREATLY APPRECIATED!
Some body have this error : Could not generate mail report. An exception occurred while executing a Transact-SQL statement or batch. No global profile is configured. Specify a profile name in the @profile_name parameter. When i execute my maintenance plan.
SSIS : I have a "On Failure" precedence constraint that executes a Send Email Task for a Data Flow Task. Do you know how I might capture the error message from the Data Flow Task to include it in the Email (most likely as a variable)?
I am running a SSIS package under a trusted account and I am running into a problem when I am executing a email task. The error is an operation timeout which was reported in the log. I am using windows authentication on the connection manager. Other email task configured the exact same way run correctly in the same run. Also when I execute task from BIDS the email is sent. Is there a bug in SSIS which would cause this behavior or some kind of exchange server configuration issue? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks, Greg
I have an SSIS package set up to run various SQL scripts and to notify me if any of the SQL scripts fail. This is working fine, but when I get the email it only says that the script has failed. Is there any way to actually show the SQL result with the error in it? This would save me from having to go and manually run the script again to see the error message.
I am using an error handler that was provided to me from another source. However, I notice that there's something in the code that writes the error message twice. I tried to discover what it was, but could not seem to pinpoint it. Here's an example of what my email messages look like:
Is activity file current? The Script returned a failure result. The extracts in D:myFolder are not current! Data NOT loaded. Is activity file current? The Script returned a failure result. The extracts in D:myFolder are not current! Data NOT loaded.
Obviously, I just want my email to read:
Is activity file current? The Script returned a failure result. The extracts in D:myFolder are not current! Data NOT loaded.
Somewhere, errorMessages is being written to more than once. Need help finding the error.
Well I am doing a simple insert through a stored procedure..., but I am getting this error. In my table I have the UserID as a VARCHAR 100. I am storing from a textbox that will have number because its there email. But I am not converting anything. Do I need to convert in this scenario?? Server Error in '/pickem' Application.

I encounter this error when user try to subscribe using email delivery to one of the report. I have configured the Reporting Services to use Sharepoint integrated mode. This user is a regular user that has read access to the report item.
Below is the message detail:
A subscription delivery error has occurred. (rsDeliveryError) A subscription delivery error has occurred. (rsDeliveryError) One of the extension parameters is not valid for the following reason: The account you are using does not have administrator privileges. A subscription cannot be created for [emailaddress]. (rsInvalidExtensionParameter)
Is it true that user needs to have administrator privilege in order to subscribe for report? I don't think so, right?
I have a SSRS report that parses RTF to TXT and displays it in a report. The report works fine and everything displays correctly. The subscription email, however, contains a report with errors: Request for the permission of type 'System.Security.Permissions.UIPermission, mscorlib, Version=2.0.0.0, Culture= neutral,PublicKeyToken=b77a5c561934e089' failed. The report contains embedded code as well as references to System.Security and System. Windows. Forms. I've updated .....Reporting ServicesReportServer ssrvpolicy.config and ....Reporting ServicesReportManager smgrpolicy.config to change permissions to FullTrust.
Hi All, I need to send out email when error occurs in the package. Is it a good practice to put the send email task in the event handler? Then MaximumErrorCount is set to 1. But for some reason, some time I saw more than one email are sent out. Please advise. Thanks
I'm trying to put together an SSIS package that will look in one directory for 2 distinctly named .csv files. The files will then be loaded into 2 tables.
The first task I execute is a SQL Task that checks to see if the tables I'm loading the data into are empty. If the tables have data, the package stops executing. If they are empty, the package continues to execute.
What is the best way to send an email out from SSIS if the package stops on the first step?
Exec Prcoess task with source : ftp destination :ftpunzip work directory ftpunzip executable : c:Program FilesWinZip
i am using expressing.
It is doing the unzip but getting this error
package process on server server1 has failed within the Task 'Unzip Files' with the following errors: > > File/Process "WZUNZIP.EXE" does not exist in directory "c:Program FilesWinZip".
what I want to achieve is to load a text file that has email addreses from disk and using the email addresses in the text file look it up against the email addresses in the database table then once matched delete all the users in the table whose email address were in the text file.
I also want to update some users using a different text file.
How do i get the email to be send automatically from SQL
My SQL Server is configured so if sends an email after running a job. The email is been succesfully sent by SQL, but is not atually sent until you login and start up Microsoft Outlook and client on Send and Receive.
Surely there is a way to get SQL to automatically send the message.
Trying to get a job step to send an email with an explaination in certain failure conditions. The problem is I want the recipient to be the job's operator. don't know of a way to accesss the job's operator email address cleanly from inside a step
