How can i transfer a database from Access to Sql Server 2000?
Exactly : i want to transfer a .mdb into .mdf, and i want to keep the structure of .mdb, a structure which have tables, queries, macros, modules... When i start the transfer with Data Transformation Services ( DTS- Import Data ) , i can see that DTS shows me only tables and queries. At the end of transfer, in my .mdf database, on server, i have only tables, without queries, macros, modules.
My question is how can i transfer the queries and macros ( exactly how are in .mdb ) to .mdf database?

I understand you can do this with DTS, but the Express edition seems not have DTS.

Is There A Way To Transfer Linked Reports?

I created a base report that covers most of my reporting requirements. I created linked reports using different parameters. Is there a way to transfer linked reports from my development report server to the production report server?
I would have used report models but my system architecture uses a different database for every customer. I use a custom connection expression to determine the database by User ID.

I need to create a Crystal Report based on a SQL Server database. However, life is never that easy…
The report needs data to be taken from the database, manipulated and reported upon. Doing this manipulation within CR will make the report take far too long to produce so I thought I would create a temporary table within SQL Server and manipulate that.
Cannot get Create Table permission!
Plan B is to use VB / ADO to extract the data (about 1 million rows) from SQL Server and write it to a local Access database that I can manipulate as much as I want. Crystal Reports can then report on the Access data.
Questions:
•Is this the best way to go?
•I know how to use ADO to connect to n Access database but how do I connect to a SQL Server database?
•I think I will need to write a single Select to build the SQL Server recordset but will I need to write each row individually, using a Do Unitl loop, to get the data into the Access recordset?

One User Unable To Access The Reports From SQL Server 2005 Reporting Server.
Jul 6, 2007I have deployed some reports on the reporting server, i have noticed that every one in the domain in which the reports are published can access the reports, except one user. when he tries to access the report he got the following error message or the blank report.
"An error occured during report processing"
"can no read the next data row for the data set dataset1".
Although this user has all the roles on the reporiting server kike browser,content manager etc.
i tried many things but still problem persists.
Can anyone tell me the exact reason for this ?
I shall be extremely thankfull.

Error Opening Reporting Services Site --- Server Error In '/Reports' Application
May 9, 2008I recently installed SQL Server 2005 Enterprise on a machine running Server 2003. I have successfully configured Reporting Services (see below for summary of settings)
- Used the defaults for the Repor tServer and Report Manager Virtual Directories
- Windows Service Identity set to domain user. The domain user is part of the administrator group on the machine and has sysadmin rights to the database
- Web Service Identity set to NT AuthorityNetworkService
When I open http://localhost/reports/, I get the following error:

I am facing problem while using Transfer SQL Server Object Task in SSIS, it is not importing table & its attributes.
The details settings of Transfer SQL Server Object Task as follows:

Connection
Source Connection existing server name 1

Destination Connection existing server name 1
Destination Database ganny2
Destination copy objects
Objects to copy - copy all tables - true
Table Objects

After setting all this configurations, Executing task, I am not able to get table in my destination database.
Please suggest me to solve the issue.

Transfer Sql Server Object Task Error
Mar 24, 2006I am trying to move some tables from one database to another(both 2005) using SSIS. The tables are not dbo tables. I am using sql authentication for the source and windows authentication for the destination SMO conection.
I get the following error:

I get the similar error (pre sp1) when using import/export wizard and copying over views. Now with SP1 the views just don't transfer. I'm transferring from SQL 2005 to SQL 2005. The error I get is:

I know the view exists at the source because:
A) I can select it in the Views List Collection within the Transfer SQL Server Objects Task
B) I'm using the view on the source
Somehow the views are not transferring. Anyone have any ideas?

after adding the entries necessary to run ASP.NET AJAX stuff on my default web site the report manager and server both error out when trying to browse to

do I need to add something into the ReportManager web.config?

Ms Access Data Transfer (urgent)
Sep 29, 2006I developed a web application with MS Access there is a destop application that works with MS SQL SERVER 2000. The web application is just meant to allow user to view data and very little modification. I need to transfer from MS SQL Server to another MS Access database on another machine for security reasons and then to the internet server. Please can someone help me on this or any better method to go about this

I am facing a big problem in data transfer from Access To SQL. Well the problem is i want to transfer nr about 50 lacs record from access to sql. at my side where sql server is complete install i could not find any problem and it transfer all data in 5 to 7 mins. now problem is at client side we not install entire sql but we install sql runtime which is available with installshied. and whenever i start to transfer data there is another exe called DLLHost.exe is run and it ate near about 70% to 75% Memory of system. well i use sql OPENROWSET statement and as soon as that statement fire at machine where entire sql is not install and only runtime install it starts to eat system memory so instead of transfer all data in 5 to 10 min it take more then 6 hrs bcaz dllhost.exe eat memory. is there any better way to transfer this records more fast pls let me know.

Transfer SQL Server Objects Task Throws An Error Because The DropObjectsFirst Property Does Not Check Whether Object Exists.
Apr 19, 2006I wanted to create a package to copy the objects from one database to another and replace those object if they already exist. Therefore, before the package executes you do not know whether all the objects exist on the target server or only some of them.
Using the 'Transfer SQL Server Objects Task' I have found that I cannot get this to execute cleanly by itself. If I set the 'DropObjectsFirst' to false then an error is thrown if the object exists and if I set it to true then an error is thrown if it does not exist.
In order to get round this I have had to create an 'Execute SQL Task' to list all the objects and then go through them dropping them on the target server in a for each loop before executing the 'Transfer SQL Server Objects Task' with 'Transfer SQL Server Objects Task' set to false.
However, is there a better way of achieving this or am I missing something in the 'Transfer SQL Server Objects Task'?
SSRS 2005 - Server Error In '/Reports' Application.

eports we are getting an error page titled "Server Error in '/Reports' Application." The server has been restarted, and as this is a new deployment, there has been very little access for individuals to make changes.
Any ideas on how to resolve the problem?
