Hi, I have done a quick search for a similar topic, but I don;t think they are what I need. What I want to do is (when creating a view in the database) I want to filter entries in my table that have only been created this month (the field I am looking at is called DateDB), I'm not sure how to do this, I have tried =MONTH(GETDATE()), but this doesn't return any values at all. Is there a way of doing this?
I have a series of daily data and I am looking to filter for month end business days and create a sum.
This piece of code gets what I need, arbitrarily, for the 7th day of every month. How can I amend the code so that rather than 7, I have the last business day of every month?

I have an Excel database file that contains the total passenger passes from a specific location. The total number of passenger passes is counted in a period of 2 minutes(e.g. 14:45:00 to 14:46:59). I have imported my database into PowerPivot and have also created relevant PivotTables and PivotCharts with some slicers to analyze them. How can I create a slicer which filters data in greater periods of time like hour, day or month?

Where I'm struggling is getting the count of members in a set using a measure, in the current context on the same hierarchy, as the filter expression. I'm using the comparative set as in belonging to the same geographical location, and therefore associating by another attribute.
So, cl as below:

Using the same measure and context hierarchy is always going to be equal, and therefore the count is always zero. Its almost as if I need a nested context for the FILTER which allows me to use enumerate the set on the same hierarchy whilst maintaining the external reference.Â
I'm thinking that perhaps I'm going to have to create another hierarchy and use that as the filter set and reference through StrToMember or similar.
I have the table below and want to show the prop_code if the rent_review_date count is less than 1 in 12 months. This means to show only propcode if there has not been any rent update since the first rent_review_date

I am pretty new to MDX and am having trouble getting what I need out of this MDX query. Some business rules:
Gross Amount applies to all clients, whether Type A or Type B. Â I always want to return Gross Amount.Some clients are Type A, some are Type B, some are both, and some are neither.There are Type A Net Amount and Type B Net Amount values for all clients, but I only want to display the Type A Net value if the client is a Type A client, only Type B if the client is a Type B, or both for both, and neither for neither. Â I would like to return blank/null, not $0.00, for those values that should not be displayed.

I am running into an issue trying to declaratively set up a SqlDataSource. I want to be able to filter some of my queries based on the user that is currently logged into the web site. I want to do it Declaratively as that's one of my favorite 2.0 features.Is there any way to do this with the Membership information? I know I can use the code behind to set the parameter, or store the User Name in Session Variable, and use a <asp:SessionParameter> but I think there should be a way to bind directly to the Membership user...Am I missing another option, or is there no built in way to do this? I'm storing records that contain a date/time data type. I am needing two links on a reports page (asp), the first should return all records for the current month and the second link should return all records for the last three months (including current month). I have no idea how to just sort by month.
I'm also not sure what to include here in this post to help you answer my question. On the form that is submitted initially the text field is named "txtSubmitDate" and in the database it's stored in a field called "submitdate" and is 8 characters in length.

These are not working because it can't handle the change in year (going from january 2005 back to december 2004, etc).
I have an entity (A), in which I use domain based attribute. The second entity (B) has several attributes. My problem is that, I would like to filter the first entity (A) based on an attribute that belongs to the second entity. The only way I can filter it (in MDS Excel add-in or Explorer) is by using Code or Name from the second entity.
I have in mind a couple of solutions, but they require some coding with xml saved query from Excel.
We had a requirement that need to sum the data based on quater we will be having 12 months data in the system for an year suppose we have 12 records for 2014 year. jan month sales data should be same when we were in feb month it should sum jan+feb sales and should show in sales column whereas we were in march month it should sum jan+feb+mar sales, then same for next quater also apr month it wil be same value in may it should be apr+may in may sales value etc ....

I have created an ASP.NET web application. I need a page in it to be viewed at all times. The page displays the data according to today's date. For example, if there are 10 records, the record which applies to only today should be shown. No user interaction is available to do the filtering.

Hello what I'd like to display the following in a matrix report:

So, in the rows I have the articles and in the column the selected month via parameter. In another column I need to sum up all monthly values up to the selected month, meaning in this example the sum of jan, feb and mar per article.
Using MDS 2012: I have an entity "XYZ_Entity". In "XYZ_Entity" entity I have 2 domain based Columns "DealerGroup" and "Dealer".
While inserting information into "XYZ_Entity" entity user can select the required dealer group from domain base Dealer Group values. Now for selecting Dealer he wants the dealers to be filter based on selected dealer group and he can select from the filtered list. reason to do that is he don't want to go through thousands of dealers and select an incorrect one.
I have a QA Deployment Date field that is being returned in a custom report I created. I also found a sample date range parameter:
What I want to accomplish:
I want to select a From and To Date and filter the report to only display the rows that have the QA Deployment Date within the selected range.
For example.. I want to select From Date (8/1/2105) and To Date (8/31/2015) and I only want to return only the results that have a QA Deployment date between that selected range.
I use SQL Server 2005. I have approx. 50 tables in my database and 30 of them have a filed named "CompanyID". Example: create table A (ID int identity, NAME varchar(100), COMPANYID int)create table A (ID int identity, REF_ID int, FIELD1 varchar(100), FIELD2 varchar(100), COMPANYID int)
Also there are nearly 200 stored procedures that read data from these tables. Example: create procedure ABCasbegin /* some checks and expressions here ... */ select ... from A inner join B on (A.ID = B.REF_ID) where ... /* ... */end;
All my queries in the Stored procedure does not filter the tables by CompanyID, so they process the entire data.
However, now we have a requirement to separate the data for each company. That means that we have to put a filter by CompanyID to each of those 20 tables in each query where the tables appear.
Firstly, I put the CompanyID in the context so now its value is accessible through the context_info() function. Thus I do not need now to pass it as a parameter to the stored procedures.
However, I don't know what is the easiest and fastest way to filter the tables. Example:
I modified the above mentioned procedure in the following way: create procedure ABCasbegin /* some checks and expressions here ... */ -- gets the CompanyID from the context: DECLARE @CompanyID int; SELECT @CompanyID = CONVERT(float, CONVERT(varchar(128), context_info())) select ... from A inner join B on (A.ID = B.REF_ID) where ... and A.COMPANYID = @CompanyID and B.COMPANYID = @CompanyID /* ... */end;
Now I have the desired filter by CompanyID. However, modifying over 200 stored procedures is rather tedious work and I don't think that this is the best approach. Is there any functionality in SQL Server that can provide the possibility to put an automatic filter to the tables. For example: when I wrote "SELECT * FROM A", the actual statements to be executed would be "SELECT * FROM A WHERE CompanyID = CONVERT(float, CONVERT(varchar(128), context_info()))".
I was looking for something like "INSTEAD OF SELECT" triggers but I didn't manage to find any answer.

I have a table that has a group. In this group, I want to filter by 2 different expressions, concatenated with an OR. BUT I can't change the "And/Or" column value for the first entry because it is grayed out. The column will automatically change to an OR value if both my expression column fields are the same (which I don€™t want) but if I put any other value in to the expression field of the second row, the "And/Or" field of the first row automatically changes to an AND.
PLEASE! How do I get the And/Or field "ungrayed" so I can change it to what I want?
