I have created a local user on Report Server Computer and the user has the administrative rights. When i try to connect Report Server (http://xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx/reportserver) with this user's credantials. (ReportServer directory security is set -only- to Basic Authentication. ). I get the following error.

Then i try to login using a different user with administrative rights on the machine, i can logon successfully. The system is up for a month but this problem occured today?!? What could be the problem?!?
My team at work has spent the past week troubleshooting performance issues experienced by users of our asp.net 2.x web application. We've got a probe running on one of the web servers that has identified a frequently occuring error that no one has seen before and I can't find anywhere online. MSSQL error "system.data.oledb.oledbcommand.executenonquery(Maximum number of unique SQL exceeded) Has anyone here ever seen this error before? The web server, application, SQL servers and databases all seem to be configured properly, but users are experiencing latency and this frequently occurring error is a mystery to us.
First of all, field names have been changed to protect the innocent. Second, I did *not* create this table...I'm troubleshooting issues with a previously created table. I've no idea why almost every field needs to be an NVARCHAR data type of that size. Finally, as you can probably guess, I'm getting this error on a SQL Server 2000 database. (Yeah, it's past time we upgraded to SQL Server 2005 at least...explain that to management, please. I suggest you speak slowly and use small words.)
Anyhow, the error is "Warning: The table 'ExampleTable' has been created but its maximum row size (13348) exceeds the maximum number of bytes per row (8060). INSERT or UPDATE of a row in this table will fail if the resulting row length exceeds 8060 bytes."
Am I misunderstanding how the row size is calculated? How is SQL Server getting 13,348 bytes from the above statement?
Any and all constructive suggestions/ideas are much appreciated! Thanks!
I have a SQL2000 enterprise edition with sp3 clustered.
I am creating backup jobs via t-sql for around 680 databases. From MMC sqlAgent jobs, found all jobs (every DB has 7 jobs(M-Sun) are created. But some of (around 20% of the 680*7= 4760 jobs) in the Next Run Date column with value of "(Date and Time are not available". It means these jobs might be skipped to run.
If I right click the job and choose "start", then the job Next Run Date will be the corrent datetime. But when I rerun the t-sql to recreate jobs for these 20%, I get the [The maximum number of pending SQLServerAgent notifications has been exceeded. The notification will be ignored.]
HelloI am running a DTS (Sql 2000) and transfering data from an SqlServerdatabase to an Ingres database.I am transfering 153k rows.Execution fails with the error message:"The number of failing rows exceeded the maximum specified"The number of rows shouldn't be a problem because in another DTS I copya lot more rows. Also the width of the row shouldn't be a problem, I'm transfering only 3int4 fields and 1 char(5) field.Anyone have an idea what the problem could be ?ThanksDavid Greenberg
I am writing a package that will process delimited flat files that will come in one of a few different versions. Within each flat file, the number of delimited columns will be the same, but each version of the file has a different number of columns. I have tried configuring the flat file data source to expect the version with the largest number of columns, but it will then throw away rows that have less than this number of columns (warning: There is a partial row at the end of the file).
Is it possible to use a single flat file data source that will work with all of the different width files?
I m using SSIS and i am transfering the data from Flat File Source to the OLE DB destination File. The source file contain some corrupt data which i am transfering to the other Flat file destination file.
Debugging is succesful but i am not getting any error output in the Flat file destination file.
i had done exactly which is written in the msdn tutorial of SSIS.
Plz tell me why i am not getting the error output in the destination flat file?
I have a flat file data source and SQL Server destination data flow. Only a subset of columns from the source are mapped to the destination. During execution SSIS returns DTS pipline warnings for every unmapped source column. Is some kind of transformation the only way to get rid of these warnings?
Also this data flow subsequently returns an error: [SQL Server Destination [1293]] Error: An OLE DB error has occurred. Error code: 0x80040E14. An OLE DB record is available. Source: "Microsoft SQL Native Client" Hresult: 0x80040E14 Description: "Could not bulk load because SSIS file mapping object 'GlobalDTSQLIMPORT ' could not be opened. Operating system error code 2(The system cannot find the file specified.). Make sure you are accessing a local server via Windows security."
I'm researching this error, but if anyone is familiar with it your advice would be appreciated. Thanks.
I have a report that has 14 user supplied parameters. When I added a 15th parameter and deployed the report, I get an error of Maximum Request Length Exceeded when I try to set up a subscription to the report. All of the subscriptions on the report are failing now and users are getting rather upset.
Please help! How do I get rid of the Maximum Request Length Exceeded error?
I have a package in which there are only one Data flow Task and it has only three components. 1) Source , which is a SQL db 2) destination and 3) OLE DB Destination flat file Error output file. I want the error file to be created ONLY if there is any error while dumping the data into destination DB. But , the issue is, the error flat file is being created inspite of No error while dumping the data from Source to Destination.
I am new to SQL but have managed to create a table with five columns. The problem I am having is when I try and run the INSERT command I get an error "Maximum characters exceeded in SQL statement"

Hi, I am trying to import from Excel file. So In between Excel file source and OLEDB destination I am using One Data Transformations to convert excel unicode characters to Sqlserver varchar.
Iam getting this following errors: 1)
Error: 0xC020901C at Data Flow Task, OLE DB Destination [382]: There was an error with input column "Copy of Zip" (615) on input "OLE DB Destination Input" (395). The column status returned was: "The value could not be converted because of a potential loss of data.".
Copy of zip is the Data Transformation column mapped Sqlserver Varcahr(200) column of Zipcode. In excel file the Zip codes are like this: 78712-2344 78123 12345 87651-1234
2)
The column "State" needs to be updated in the external metadata column collection. This is warning. This type of warnings are for all columns in excel file.
3) Intially I declared the Sqlserver table columns like this Varchar(100), then SSIS showing some warning like truncation of column State 255 characters to .. So I changed columns datatype from Varchar(100) to Varchar(500)? Why we need to change like this.
I need find out the number of columns in flat file before i process that particular file.I have file name in @filename variable and file path is @filepath variable. But do not not that how i will check the column name in before i will process that file.
@filePath = C:DatabaseSourceFilesCAHCVSSourceFiles And i am using for each loop container to read the file one by one and put the file name in @filename variable.and my file name like
Now what i have to do is i need to make sure that ID,Name,City,County,Phone is there in flat file.if it is not there then i have to send mail to client saying that file is not valid.I need to also calculate the size of flat file.
I am trying to create a program that transfers tables to flat files. At this point in time, I have suceeded in created one that creates delimited files.
However, I am now trying to create fixed-width files as you can do with the SSIS designer, but programatically.
Is there a way to programatically determine the width of a column from the source table? I can not seem to find any kind of function or member that stores this information or allows me to retrieve it.
I know what I need to change in order to set a width for a column, but I just don't know how to find the width without just asking the user to provide one.
I have writen a Function which call's the same function it self. I'm getting the error as below.
Maximum stored procedure, function, trigger, or view nesting level exceeded (limit 32). Can any one give me a solution for this problem I have attached the function also.
CREATE FUNCTION dbo.GetLegsFor(@IncludeParent bit, @EmployeeID float) RETURNS @retFindReports TABLE (EmployeeID float, Name nvarchar(255), BossID float) AS BEGIN IF (@IncludeParent=1) BEGIN INSERT INTO @retFindReports SELECT MemberId,Name, referredby FROM Amemberinfo WHERE Memberid=@EmployeeID END DECLARE @Report_ID float, @Report_Name nvarchar(255), @Report_BossID float DECLARE RetrieveReports CURSOR STATIC LOCAL FOR SELECT MemberId,Name, referredby FROM Amemberinfo WHERE referredby=@EmployeeID OPEN RetrieveReports FETCH NEXT FROM RetrieveReports INTO @Report_ID, @Report_Name, @Report_BossID WHILE (@@FETCH_STATUS = 0) BEGIN INSERT INTO @retFindReports SELECT * FROM dbo.GetLegsFor(0,@Report_ID) INSERT INTO @retFindReports VALUES(@Report_ID,@Report_Name, @Report_BossID) FETCH NEXT FROM RetrieveReports INTO @Report_ID, @Report_Name, @Report_BossID END CLOSE RetrieveReports DEALLOCATE RetrieveReports
I am running this query "delete from ims_domains where id=61" and got the error Maximum stored procedure, function, trigger, or view nesting level exceeded (limit 32)
Please let me know what should be the reason? Thanks, Ravi
I face this error when i try to run my store procedure. The sample of store procedure as following:
SET QUOTED_IDENTIFIER ON GO SET ANSI_NULLS ON GO
CREATE PROCEDURE sp_addUserAccess with encryption AS SET NOCOUNT ON
DECLARE @COUNTER INT SET @COUNTER = 0
DECLARE @i_compId INT BEGIN DECLARE C1 SCROLL CURSOR FOR SELECT i_compId FROM ltd_cms_company WHERE (i_owner = 176 or i_owner = 268) AND ti_recStatus = 1 END

Hi all, I get this message when trying to update a tabel i have whichhas nested hierarchies. The current hierarchies beginning from root = 1 are up to the level 5.Before going into details and sample data with all the sql queries andprocedures, this limitation from Microsoft for nested levels .. isthere any way or trick to increase the level in generic?
I have created a delete trigger in Table1 and Table2. Once I delete a certain record in Table1 it will also delete that record in Table2 or vice versa. But once i delete certain record either in Table1 or Table2 it will create an error "Maximum stored procedure, function, trigger, or view nesting level exceeded (limit 32).". Can you help me on this?
I am trying to deploy a shape file map of the world with 100 random data points from my dataset but get this error: "exception running the extensions specified in the config file. ---> Maximum request length exceeded". I can preview this fine in SSDT. I have read various solutions which involve editing the config file but I don't have permissions to get to these files. Is there any way to amend the maximum length either through SSMS or SSDT? If not how can I make my map size small enough to deploy? It is a very simple shape file with no colours etc and I am passing random 100 data points to it from my dataset.
I have Flat File as my source. Before i tried to load the data in to ORACLE Destination thru SCD component the error was with ole db.
any ways i try to load the data in Access DB but Im getting different error in same component (OLE DB) After SCD Component. can any one help me out in this.
I have some problems with the "Flat File Source" ... I am trying to load a textfile, but IS allways cuts the rows ... When I look at the preview while designing, the row is complete, so I am wondering what IS is doing ...
I've been working 4 days non stop on this project, lost a complete weekend on it and I totally had it. Please have a look at this "simple" question:
I have a for each loop that checks for csv files in a folder. The path of the file(s) is stored in a variable varFileName. So far so good. But then I start with a data flow task and inside that data flow task I need to access one of those csv files at the time whenever it loops.
So my best guess is use a flat file source because that's the only task I see in the list that fits my question. But the thing is, you set up a connection to a....yes right, a flat source connection and there you have to select a flat file.
But no, I don't want to select ONE file, I need to access them all as the loop goes through all files. I'm sure this is something easy but I don't see it anymore.
I'm off taking a nap, need sleep Could someone please point me to a direction?
I have a SSIS package loading a lot of CSV file, which first line is the column head. Some file are ordered differently. However, package still try to load the file use predefined column order (it seems it doesn't check the head of each file see if it matchs the predefined column order).
Any way to force the package the check each file's head? or I had to manually check it using VB.Net script?
I am trying to make a SSIS package that will loop trough all files in a directory and load information from them.
I can do this with Raw File Sources since they allow me to use a variable name as the file path, but I cant seem to do the same with Flat File Sources. Is there a way to change the connection to a Flat File Source on each iteration of a loop? Actually, if this is possible with all types of file sources (like excel files) I would love to know about it too.
I was thinking about renaming the file through a script task but that does not seem like the most elegant solution so decided to see if some one here knows of a more proper way before I go that direction.
I want to read the following file using the Flat File Source flow:
10000 Router 20000 Hub 10000 Switch 30000 Server 40000 Harddisk
Spaces are used between the numbers (e.g. 10000) and the following text (e.g. Router). Each line is temrinated by a {CR}{LF} pair. I would normally think of this as a "fixed width" file.
But in the Flat File connection manager, if I use format "Fixed width", the preview shows a row width of 1 character wide (the first row contains the number "1"; the next row contains "0", and so on for the remaining 3 rows.in the first line) Not what I had in mind. How do I setup SSIS to handle this file in intended maner?
TIA,
Barker
P.S. I never had any trouble with this type of file under Sql 2000 DTS. Also, have you noticed the crappy-looking "bitmap" displayed when one wants to click and define columns for a fixed-width file?
