Get Numeric Result From SELECT Statement

Hi,

I have this code following my signature to SELECT a number.
I don't know what am I missing, because it always return the number which the variable banID was initialized (32 in this case).

The strangest thing is that if I run the statement inside MS SQL SERVER, I get the right result.

Any help would be appreciated.
