I'm trying to create a group by a set (but can change it later on) time interval.
What I mean by this is the following. I would like to group my data by 5 second intervals, and perhaps have a count for it as well - but that's not required.
For example I have the following data:

for ex: Now i want to show all the transaction done b/w 6 to 7 am or pn.
and for 30 minutes interval i have get the calculation as transactions done b/w 6:00 to 6:30 and 6:30 to 7:00 either it's am or pm. now how i can write my sql statements that calculates hour and 30 minutes intervals

Jul 21, 2014I'm trying to create a report which will give me a break down of how many unique vehicles have been seen between two dates via a 15 minute interval and what Lane they were seen. My current script looks like this
SELECT l.Name [Name], count(l.Name) Total, p.Created
FROM PlateReads p
inner join Lanes l on p.Lane_ID = l.ID
where LicencePlate in (Select Plate from LPRnet_MelAir_C.dbo.TempVehiclePlates)

Name being the Lane they were in and the Total being the amount of times a unique vehicle has been seen and p.Created being the date they were seen (thats what I need the interval powered off)

now i am not being able to cross join this CTE with my table to get data party name wise and time interval wise. say for if no data exist for a specific time interval then it will show 0 but each party name should repeat for time interval 9:00:00 - 9:30:00 upto 17:30:00. i like to add what filter need to apply to get data for incoming, outgoing, call transfer and miss call.

Jul 1, 2005How can I automatically change records by a specific date specified inside the record. An example would be the way ebay sales work. How does ebay have the status of an item change to closed, at the time inside the item record of the database.
I know i could use triggers or something to check the current date against the enddate everytime the record is accessed, but is there a more efficient method?

How can I get it so instead of manually changing that text every month, it will look at a SQL database and automatically change that text every month? I'm guessing the pseudocode would be if the b-day or anniv. month matches the current month, display the first and last name, the date, and number of years (which would have to be calculated maybe?) Any help would be GREAT! Thanks!!

How To Force View To Change Automatically When Table Schema Changes?
Jan 16, 2004I am still having problem with making View automatically updates itself when the underlying table schema changes. Running sp_recompile on the view table doesn't seem to work either, as I am still getting old format from the view (in Design mode the view returns the right info, but not when I open the View by doing Open View) even though the underlying schema has changed. Right now I find that I have to go into the View and change it a bit to force a recompilation.
And even if sp_recompile does, it would require that I manually do it each time I change a table. Any idea?

Either SQL Or VB Is Automatically Applying Time Offsets On My Data
Sep 5, 2006I have a windows app which is used in australia and uses web services to communicate with the database located in new zealand. I have a problem where dates that are returned from SQL are automatically modified to suit the timezone and i dont know how to turn it off.
For example, i insert the value '10/Jan/2006 20:00' into the database from a PC located in australia. When that data is selected back out, a 4 hour time offset is automatically applied to it and the time is returned as '10/Jan/2006 16:00'.
My current workaround is to modify my queries to say;
"Select convert(varchar, tb_date) tb_date from tablename"
Which returns the date as a string rather than a datetime which means the time offset is not applied.
This is a really poor solution and i'd be really keen to find out a better way...

Hi,
I have a website and i am uploading the gif image to the database. i have used varchar(500) as the datatype and i am saving the file in the webserver so the path to it c:intepub....a.gif
my upload table has the folliwing feilds
UploadId Int Identity, Description, FileName, DiskPath varchar(500), weblocation varchar(500). I have a main sproc for the report where i am doing a inner join with other table to get the path of the gif..
So my question is how can i get a picture to show up on the report. .
What kinda datatype the gif file should be stored in the database? If it is stored as a varchar how can i access it and what is best way to reference that particular.
any help will appreciated....
