How To Set Selected Multivalue (from Aspx) For Report

The report seems to render just fine if a parameter has just 1 value. However, when I try to pass multi values(comma seperated) to the report from aspx - the report viewer is unable to check the selected values. I have set ShowParameterPrompts to true - for multivalues the parameter selection is blank and hence unless the values are reselected the report wont render.
I tried to loop thru the multi values by dumping it in a array and adding the individual value while iterating thru the RDL's parameter collection. In that case the error message that I get is parameter xyz has been specifed multiple times.
I have a problem with report built in SSRS and deployed with Dashboard Designer to Sharepoint. There are few filters connected to report, 2 of them are multivalue. Regardless of data returned, when I select too many items in filter, the report is getting super small. It doesn't matter what you select, size changes when you select exact number of items or more. I replaced report with single line (filters where still conected) - result was the same. Small amount of items selected:

Size of the raport in Dashboard Designer is set to "Percentage of dashboard page", when I selected autosize, result was the same.
Hi All i have created one report using SSRS 2005, in this report one parameter is multivalue parameter, this report preview working fine and user able to select multivalues. but the problem is i deployed this report in server and opened in client system (reports shown to user using report viewer in aspx pages), i am able to access the report but multivalue parameter dropdown is not working. when i clicked on multivalue parameter dropdown report refreshing and remaining parameters default vaues coming up.. i am unable to find the solution please anyone help me
Is it possible to pass multiple values for a report parameter through a url? For example I am using multi-select list in my asp.net page, when I click a button I want to pass the values selected in that list and generate the report on report server with the multi-select list populated with exactly the same values as in asp.net page. So there are essentially two questions: First, how to pass multiple values, second how to populate multi-select in report with these values.
I've created a line chart in my report which lists number of transactions by month. I've also created a report to list transactions by day. My goal is for the user to select a month and link the report to the graph with the selected month divided up into days (in other words, the user wants to see the number of transactions for each day in the selected month).
Anyway, everything is working perfectly except for one thing. In the list of parameters that I am passing to the report for each day, I want to pass a multivalue parameter which contains all the transaction IDs the user selected in creating the report (these are supplied by a multivalue parameter). However, in the parameter dialog box where it asks for a value to send to the awaiting parameter, I do not know how to supply more than one value. If I need to pass one value, it will work fine. However, I would like to do something like:
JOIN(Parameters!TransactionID.value, ",")
for the value of TransactionID, but when I generate the report it is not accepting the values. I'm pretty sure its just a format issue, and I just need to know how exactly I should pass these values.
I already understand that when passing multivalue parameters in a URL you need something like:
TransactionID=1&TransactionID=2
...in order to select multiple values. However, this is a slightly different situation. I'm really running out of ideas, so any help would be much appreciated.

I am trying to use the Report Viewer Control in an ASPX page but getting the following error "For security reasons DTD is prohibited in this XML document. To enable DTD processing set the ProhibitDtd property on XmlReaderSettings to false and pass the settings into XmlReader.Create method". This is with September CTP of SQL Server 2005. I am not trying to set any DTD, the same report works if displayed using the WinForm viewer control...so I am not sure why this is happening. is there any samples available for using the Report Web viewer control in an aspx page? I am using Sql server reporting services.When i have create a report .rdl file and deploy it on Report server and than display that report on my application's .aspx page in pdf format using web services , every thing is perfactly working in my senario at the starting time but now i faced a problem with that. When record goes more than 2000 (in my senario a single record disply in a one report pdf page means for 2000 record in table that means its display in 2000 pdf page as with next forward option of pdf view),So in that cas it doesn't work, did now show any report and give the error as ex.Message"Client found response content type of 'text/html; charset=utf-8', but expected 'text/xml'. Hi How to bring Report builder in the Ui of .net aspx pages? I tryed withe the .exe but it is comming with a new process and come up with new IDE of Report builder, i donot required this, I want it should come up within the Aspx page itself.
I created a report with a parameter. The parameter was created using a dataset in the report designer. This works fine. I deployed the report (webhost4life) and the report runs fine in the report manager. I am able to select my casenumber click on the default view report button and it works.
Problem: I embedd the report into an aspx page frmReports1.aspx. I call this page from another page (form). the frmReports.aspx page comes up and displays the default drop down list box with the casenumbers (fine). I select the casenumber and click on the view report button and NOTHING. I here the postbacks taking place but all that happens is the default value appears in the drop down list box and the toolbar shows. I checked permissions and everything is fine. I searched the forum and thought i found the solution with the inLine HTML and Async (still nothing) I can only think that something is not going right with the parameter. Here is my html, and code behind code. any help would be greatly apprcieated.

I am trying to embed a Reporting Services Report in a aspx page. I have the report embedded in the page but I am having difficulty passing a parameter to the report and getting the report to run within the page. Any information is appreciated.

In the report I'm working on, I want to display a list of the parameters selected by the user, as in:

Note that these are selected items from a multi-value parameter. How can I go about doing this with Reporting Services 2005? In ASP.NET, I'd just use the parameter array as the datasource for a repeater/datagrid/gridview. Could I do something similar with SSRS? I'd really like to use the format specified above, whether or not it is in a table; I really don't want to do the following:

Well i have three parameters, first two are interedependent . i.e. the second parameter dependent on the first one. In other words when i select the first one then that automatically selects or sets values to the second. In the mean while i have the third parameter that is not dependent on the first two. when the report loads, first and the third parameters highlights for selection. I don't want the third parameter available for selection unless the second parameter is selected. How can it be possilbe?
Which suggests that if only one of the two multivalue parameter id is selected display the same (Parameters!ServiceAttribute.Value(0)).
This works fine when i select both the attributes but throws an exception "Index was outside the bounds of the array" when i select only one of the parameters. Can anyone help me with that?
Also i want this report parameter to allow null i.e. if a user does not select anything he should still be able to view the report. In case of regular dropdowns i have added a <Null> value to the existing values and set the default to null. But in case of multi-value, it does not give an option of adding <Null>

I am experiencing some problems calling reports in ReportServer using URL. I have several multivalue parameters that are not being set through the URL. The values for this parameters should be the default ones that I have set in VS. When I preview the report in VS, the default values are correctly set but, when using the URL call, I keep being prompt for this parameters and the report is not rendered until I set them manually.
I have a report parameter named "Schools" which display a list of schools. For example, Alo elementary school, Balo middle school and Calo high school.
When "Alo elementary" is selected the report only display students from that school along with other assessments data fields. same goes for other schools too. But I want to display different data fields for "Calo high school" when it is selected. It is not currently possilbe becasue I am using the same template for all types of schools. There some fields only should be displayed for "Calo high school" but not for any other type of schools.
I can accomplish this by creating two separate report, one for "Calo high school" and the other for other schools. But I want to accomplish this just by creating one report. So when "Alo elementary school" is selected it displays report with certain fields and when "Calo high school" is selected then it displays same fields as "Alo elementary school" but as well as some other fields too in the report. Is this possible? Need help.
Hi, I have dropdown parameter with multi-values allowed. In my report headed I want to show all the dropdown values that were checked by the user to run the report. But since there could be a couple of hundred values I want to show ALL when all the values are selected instead of listing them one by one. How can I do that? Thanks,
Using SSRS 2008 r2...I have a report with a single-value parameter and three multi-value parameters, Class1, Name2 and Name3. I'm hoping for an explanation to one thing that I'm seeing and information on a second thing.
Class1 and Name2 both have the (Select All) parameter selected but Class1 is displaying the concatenated parameter variable list whereas Name2 is showing Null. Why is that? If anything, how can I get Class1 to be similar to Name2 and show Null?But my desired wish is to have Class1, Name2 and Name3 display the text"All Selected" when the parameter (Select All) is chosen.
I have created a Transactional Replication Publication on my SQL 2012 server.When I log into another server on the domain running 2008R2 and try to subscribe to the 2012 Publication, I get the following error when clicking on "Add SQL Server Subscriber": "The selected Subscriber does not satisfy the minimum version compatibility level of the selected publication"

I have created a menu report listing available reports and am setting the Jump to settings of each text box in the list to take the user to the relevent report. But I am having a problem setting up drill down to reports with multivalued parameters.
What I want to happen when the user drills down is for the report to open up with no parameter values selected. This works for single value parameters where I have set Null as the default value. But I have not been able to figure out how to do this with MVPs. Does anybody know if this is possible?
As a workaround I have been using Jump to URL (rather than Jump to report), which has no problem opening the report without having to pass any values for the MPV. But I do not like using this as I use different DEV/UAT and PROD environments so would have to amend the URL for each environment.
Seems like this should be possible... Any idea?

I have requirement where first I need to show only one report parameter. Based on user selection I need to prompt or show the user another report parameter.
Say suppose I have 3 parameters. User selects first value in first parameter I should not show the other 2 parameters. If user selects second value in first parameter I should show second parameter and hide third parameter. There is no relationship between these 2 parameters except user selection. Similarly if user third value in first parameter then I should show third parameter and hide second parameter.
Is this possible? I can not see any Visible property for report parameters.

i have designed a Report and deployed that report on Report Server, on this report i need to show the user selected values in page header by using Parameters which i have already created in the Report.
There are 35 to 40 fields in the Front End(Asp.net2.0)
on passing all these values from front end Report is prompting for parameters which is not desired for my case even though i have made ShowParameterPrompts to false.
There is a multi value parameter called "include" in the report where "Allow Multiple Values" is checked and it has 4 Available values as shown in the attached screen shots and preview of the report is also shown .There is no data set for this parameter and the values will get displayed on the report based on the visibility condition set in the report.Example : If first value is selected then 1 is passed and based on the visibility condition set in the report - the report output is displayed.None is default value and has value 4 and when the report is run with this option i.e. "None" then rest three parameter values are not applicable .
Requirement : -When the end user selects (Select All) Check box then (None) -check box must be disabled or must not appear for selection for the end user -When the end user selects check boxes either of the first three except None then also None check box must be disabled or must not appear for -selection for the end user -when the end user selects a combination of first three then also None check box must be disabled or must not appear for selection for the end user -The None is set as default with a value as 4 and is applicable only when the user does not select either of the first three values and the report will run.
Hi. I am fairly new to reporting. I have a report that currently displays queried data in both a table and a matrix. I'd like for the data that is displayed to be based off of my report parameters. I have three, all of which are multivalue. Currently, I am able to display the report, based on the only the first value of TWO of the three parameters. I tried using the dataset parameters, but was not successful with linking them to my report parameters. Please help! In addition, is there a way to set multivalue parameters to only display distinct values? Thanks, in advance, for any help.
I need to set a label in my report when all the values in a certain multivalue parameter are selected. In other words, i would need to check whether this parameter has the value "Select All" selected or not. How do i accomplish this?
We have a report that has a banner page. The user can select categories from a multi-select parameter and then this is passed into the report as a csv file. The actual report works doing this, however, we need the banner page to use this parameter's value (the multiple selected labels) to display a string of the selected values. For the textbox expression, we are using =Parameters!Cat.Value, but it always wants to reference Paramaters!Cat.Value(0). We were thinking of using a function in code to pass in the parameter and then concantenate each value into on string and return that string, but isn't there an easier way to do this?
I have passed a list of parameters to a multivalue parameter in a SQL Report.
I can click the drop down and see the list of parameters that were passed.
In my select statement for the report, here is the condition I am using in the where clause.
AND (SUBSTRING(C.CHARTOFACCTSACCOUNTNO,9,3) IN (@RUs))
Nothing is returned in the result set if more than one value is passed to the multivalue parameter.
Shouldn't the above conidition have the effect that no matter how many account numbers there are, the last three digits in the account number will be compared to each element in my multivalue parameter and if there is a match, it will be selected on the report.
For example, in the multivalue dropdown list, there are the following values:
211
212
If I pass 211 to the report, data is returned. If I pass 211, 212 to the multivalue parameter no data is returned.
