Multivalue Parameter Dropdown Not Working In Aspx Page

Hi All
i have created one report using SSRS 2005, in this report one parameter is multivalue parameter, this report preview working fine and user able to select multivalues. but the problem is i deployed this report in server and opened in client system (reports shown to user using report viewer in aspx pages), i am able to access the report but multivalue parameter dropdown is not working.
when i clicked on multivalue parameter dropdown report refreshing and remaining parameters default vaues coming up..
i am unable to find the solution
please anyone help me

i have used multivalue parameters in the report. on the report server it works fine but on the .asp page when that report is accessed, drop down is not working,

I am trying to test the concept of passing multi value parameters from one report using the Action Property of a textbox to open another report is a new Window with the Multi Value parameter values already passed. The test involves the following:
Report 1:
1. Multi Value Parameter @ReportParameter1 has three Values: Value1, Value2, Value3
2. Has a text box with the Action Property set to Go to URL with the following Expression: ="javascript:void(window.open('http://reportserver/Reports/Pages/Report.aspx?ItemPath=%2fReports%2fReport2&rs:Command=Render&ReportParameter1=" + JOIN(Parameters!ReportParameter1.Value,"&ReportParameter1=") + "'))"
Report 2:
1. Has Two Parameters @ReportParameter1 and @ReportParameter2
2. @ReportParameter1 has Available Values as follows:Â Value1, Value2, Value3
Does not have any default Values.
When I click on the textbox on Report1, it does navigate to Report2 but none of the Values are being set.

The report seems to render just fine if a parameter has just 1 value. However, when I try to pass multi values(comma seperated) to the report from aspx - the report viewer is unable to check the selected values. I have set ShowParameterPrompts to true - for multivalues the parameter selection is blank and hence unless the values are reselected the report wont render.
I tried to loop thru the multi values by dumping it in a array and adding the individual value while iterating thru the RDL's parameter collection. In that case the error message that I get is parameter xyz has been specifed multiple times.
my dataset from sharepoint list. and this dataset value assign to parameter. i want when no any parameter is selected than it should filter like "ALL". when i select alow null value it give me prompt error you  can not select null in multivalue parameter.How can i do it. i am using share point list.
I have created a menu report listing available reports and am setting the Jump to settings of each text box in the list to take the user to the relevent report. But I am having a problem setting up drill down to reports with multivalued parameters.
What I want to happen when the user drills down is for the report to open up with no parameter values selected. This works for single value parameters where I have set Null as the default value. But I have not been able to figure out how to do this with MVPs. Does anybody know if this is possible?
As a workaround I have been using Jump to URL (rather than Jump to report), which has no problem opening the report without having to pass any values for the MPV. But I do not like using this as I use different DEV/UAT and PROD environments so would have to amend the URL for each environment.
Seems like this should be possible... Any idea?

PS: I should add I can Jump to reports with MVP without specifying a parameter in development studio but not when the report is published.
I have a dataset listing distinct values for items (like 1, D10, M4, etc.) The WHERE statement in my query refers to unit IN(@Unit). I then have 2 report parameters to select 1) a date (datetime); and 2) a multivalue parameter to select one or all of the "units". I would like the second parameter to default to "Select All". Can someone tell me how to do this? I'm sure this is a fairly simple thing but I am really struggling. The report parameter is set as multivalue; My "available values" is set to "from query" and refers to my "unit" dataset and the value and label fields are set to "unit" (only field I bring into this particular dataset). The "Default Values" section is set to "from query" , the dataset is set to "unit" and the value is set to "unit". I can preview the report and select a date but the list of units comes up with all boxes unchecked, including "Select All". Any help will be much appreciated. Thanks.
Hi can someone help me? I'm using Access database and Microsoft VS2005 (VB) I need to take data from 2 different tables in 1 database. But i can't seems to get it right! I have: - dbWarehouse.mdb- tblReadDetails and tblStock I need to use "Barcode" from tblReadDetails, compare it with "Barcode" in tblStock then retrieve all the column in tblStock and put it in a webpage.aspx list box. Being new to ASP.NET, I may be asking something that is dead simple, but please bear with me!
How would I go about listing all the tables, stored procedures and views from a SQL database within an aspx page? I understand how to connect and return a dataset etc, but that's about as far as I can get. I want to be able to list all of these objects from a given db - any ideas?
Additionally (this may not be possible) - is there a way I can list all of the objects within a visual studio.net solution, again within an aspx page?
I am trying to use session in my asp.net in moss but i got the error below, eventhough i have set web.config file to enableSessionState="true" and include €œSystem.Web.SessionState.SessionStateModule". Have i miss anything? thanks
Session state can only be used when enableSessionState is set to true, either in a configuration file or in the Page directive. Please also make sure that System.Web.SessionStateModule or a custom session state module is included in the \ section in the application configuration.
Dear i am using visual studio.net.......... when i connect database (in sqlserver) using sqldataAdapter with datagrid in visual basic.net every thing work properly........... but when i use the same in asp.net then i get an error message on the resultant explorer page give below.

I am using Sql server reporting services.When i have create a report .rdl file and deploy it on Report server and than display that report on my application's .aspx page in pdf format using web services , every thing is perfactly working in my senario at the starting time but now i faced a problem with that. When record goes more than 2000 (in my senario a single record disply in a one report pdf page means for 2000 record in table that means its display in 2000 pdf page as with next forward option of pdf view),So in that cas it doesn't work, did now show any report and give the error as ex.Message"Client found response content type of 'text/html; charset=utf-8', but expected 'text/xml'. Hi How to bring Report builder in the Ui of .net aspx pages? I tryed withe the .exe but it is comming with a new process and come up with new IDE of Report builder, i donot required this, I want it should come up within the Aspx page itself.
I created a report with a parameter. The parameter was created using a dataset in the report designer. This works fine. I deployed the report (webhost4life) and the report runs fine in the report manager. I am able to select my casenumber click on the default view report button and it works.
Problem: I embedd the report into an aspx page frmReports1.aspx. I call this page from another page (form). the frmReports.aspx page comes up and displays the default drop down list box with the casenumbers (fine). I select the casenumber and click on the view report button and NOTHING. I here the postbacks taking place but all that happens is the default value appears in the drop down list box and the toolbar shows. I checked permissions and everything is fine. I searched the forum and thought i found the solution with the inLine HTML and Async (still nothing) I can only think that something is not going right with the parameter. Here is my html, and code behind code. any help would be greatly apprcieated.

Dear Friends, I want your help to know the best way to cache the data of a dropdownbox returned by a SQL Query.(SELECT FIELD FROM DBO.TABLE) This data returned by database is used in more than one dropdown on multiple pages. I want to cache only the dropdown control, not the entire page. Which is the best way to do it? The data isn't refreshed often, probably once per month. Could you tell me the best way? THANKS
We have a report that has a banner page. The user can select categories from a multi-select parameter and then this is passed into the report as a csv file. The actual report works doing this, however, we need the banner page to use this parameter's value (the multiple selected labels) to display a string of the selected values. For the textbox expression, we are using =Parameters!Cat.Value, but it always wants to reference Paramaters!Cat.Value(0). We were thinking of using a function in code to pass in the parameter and then concantenate each value into on string and return that string, but isn't there an easier way to do this?
I have passed a list of parameters to a multivalue parameter in a SQL Report.
I can click the drop down and see the list of parameters that were passed.
In my select statement for the report, here is the condition I am using in the where clause.
AND (SUBSTRING(C.CHARTOFACCTSACCOUNTNO,9,3) IN (@RUs))
Nothing is returned in the result set if more than one value is passed to the multivalue parameter.
Shouldn't the above conidition have the effect that no matter how many account numbers there are, the last three digits in the account number will be compared to each element in my multivalue parameter and if there is a match, it will be selected on the report.
For example, in the multivalue dropdown list, there are the following values:
211
212
If I pass 211 to the report, data is returned. If I pass 211, 212 to the multivalue parameter no data is returned.
I have multivalued parameter in my report. I have text box to display heading of the report. the report heading is dependent on the parameter selected.
with single value parameter the text box displays the correct parameter but it cannot with multi valued parameter. Is there any way to display the last value of the parameter in the heading of the report in case of multivalued parameter?
Ex. multivalued parameter is "YEAR"
my report shows the data for 3 years say 2003,2004,2005. report header should show 2005(last of the parameter list) report.
I have in my report a text box that lists the user selection. When the user select a few of the values I display the selection but when the user select "All" I would like the text box to say "Parameter: All".
Is there anyway to know if "All" was selected, I don't want to list all the values because sometime there are too many of them.
Hello, I have the following stored procedure and the following aspx page. I am trying to connect this aspx page to the stored procedure using the SqlDataSource. When the user enters a branch number in textbox1, the autonumber generated by the database is returned in textbox2. I am not quite sure what to do to get this to execute. Can someone provide me assistance? Will I need to use some vb.net code behind? I have a stored procedure when query a big table about 500,000 records. When I run the stored procedure in the query analyzer, it is very fast and it only takes 2~3 seconds. However, when my aspx page try to call this stored-procedure with a Command's ExecuteReader method like bellow:
I always get timeout expired exception. I try to set the connection timeout and command timeout to 100 seconds. The exception is gone but the average execution time is about 25 seconds! While the stored-procedure only takes about 2~3 seconds in query analyzer with the same parameter.
What could be the problem?? I tried to figure this out for a couple days but still no clue.
I have a table which gets updated roughly every 6 seconds with data. I have setup an aspx page with a datagrid to meta tag refresh every 3 seconds.
Because the data sometimes stops for a couple of minutes or even hours, I was thinking of a way to update/refresh the aspx page only when the table data gets entered ( to stop page flickering every 3 seconds).
I was thinking about a stored procedure and using an on update procedure.
Does anyone have any preffered methods or suggestions on the best way to accomplish this task.
