Hi all,I have a table called Jobs, with fields PK auto increment job_id, job_name, date. I'm using the visual web developer, .net 2.0, sql server 2005.I'm trying to have an option in one of my forms that allows me to add Jobs for a specific time frame. Say I want to add a job called "JobOne" and that I expect this job to last 2 months, so I would like to add this "JobOne" from October 1st 2006 to December 1st 2006. Than in the table "jobs" I would see JobOne in October 1st, 2nd, 3rd... all the way to December 1st. I'm familiar how to insert single values from formviews, using sqldatasources but I have no idea how to insert something like this, so I was wondering if anyone out there could help.Thanks!

Hi Guys,I need some help here. I've created a asp.net reception system for internal use. The problem I'm having is this, when I update a record all the dates are saved as 01/01/1900. I've had a look at a couple of threads on various forums and sites but none of them seem to have a solution for my problem... I have an AJAX calenderExtenders on the date text boxes and i have played around with all different date formats, currently on yyyy/MM/dd. I've also tried DateTime.Parse(txtStartDate.text) but doesn't work. I pass all the parameters to a stored procedure on the sql server in the correct order. I've put dummy values in the database for dates between 1st and 8th of april... And running this query suprisingly gives back ALL rows in the table... Also the entries for the 6th, 7th and 8th of april... In fact it just gives back the WHOLE table, no matter which values I add...
If I use '1/4/2005' (not with #) then I get an error back.
Anybody an Idea how to make a BETWEEN statement work in an access database?

How can I do this with Parameters? I can get a single parameter to filter for a single date (or even a combo list of the dates in DB). But I want my parameters to interact so that they specify a range. Is this possible?
I need to pull dates from a DB2 database via TSQL (Linked server - IBM DB2 for i IBMDASQL OLE DB Provider) and compare it to today for a less than or greater than type comparison.
Database: DB2, Customer information housed here
Columns:
UTOFMM - Month (2 character, numeric)
UTOFDD - Day (2 character, numeric)
UTOFYY - Year (2 character, numeric. Problem: years from 2000 to 2009 are stored as 0, 1, 2, ... etc)
UTOFCV - Century Value (2 char, numeric. 0 = before 2000, 1 = in or after 2000)
I need to concatenate the date to be "sql" friendly, and then compare to today's date. It's to find any customer with date values in the fields above, and then differentiate between dates before today and after today.Here is the snippet of what I'm trying to fix. This portion of a nightly job is just checking for <u>any</u> value in the UTOFMM column of the current record.

I have two databases im working with, one is our public database GRM_Public, and the other is our production database GRM_Prod.
I'm trying to import data from a field called 'oldscreencodes1' from GRM_Prod.Transfer table into a field called 'Sale1Type' in GRM_Public.Real_land table.
For some reason I can't get this to work, I have in the past imported datatables from our production DB to our public DB by using 'insert into' but I've never inserted data into a single field within a datatable and I think I'm over thinking this process.
Is a 'join' necessary in order to accomplish this?

hey everyone,I have created two tables in an sql server database. I have a check box in the table 1, and when it is checked, I want to insert that particular record into table 2. (By the way I am using a datagrid) The problem is when I click the check on the particular record I want inserted, and click update, the system copies the record twice instead of once. When I look into table 2, I end up having two of the same records. Can anyone help me.

I try to make something or set an option, which would generate next values of the id of some table (id is primary key) while inserting a row to the table. I used once a sequence for Oracle database and wonder if there is something similar in .Net for "standard" database (Add new item -> SQL Database). I have a page called 'upload.vb', which is the code for a file upload project I am working on. I am trying to write the filenames to an SQL database that I have built, but I keep getting this error: Compiler Error Message: BC30201: Expression expected. I have a question about new record insertion. I have a SQL Database that I have cofigured as a publisher for a mobile database. I want to be able using the PDA to insert new Customers and synchronize the CE database with the SQL DB. But I encounter a problem with the column field rowguid that SQL inserts as a unique indentifier during the publication. It cannot accept null values and I can't insert a value using the keyboard since the value is generated by SQL.
So my impression is that you cannot use PDA to insert new records, only to update old ones. Is that true or I miss something??
If someone knows the answer please let me know.
