When a new record is inserted into the database.
I want this to trigger an email that will be sent to all users who requested one when a new record was added.
I can't figure the best way to set this up.

I have a table with a field containing email address from user input. Is there a build-in function or script in SQL Server 2005 that I can send a template of a email message to users? If not in what way can I acheive this?

I have written the queries for insertion and updation into the table in a storedprocdure.
Is there any way to return something from a storedprodure ,so that i can show a
message in the frontend, that a record is updated by someone..the updation will be
done in one machine(clerk's machine in bank) and the message should be shown in another machine(manger's machine in bank) who has more administrative power on the system.

i have developed a pakage which populates a two different tables with reference to the xml files added to a folder which is watched by a security WMI task.it is governed by a sequence container which contains three for each loop container for working on the different files.i have different event handlers set up inside for each loop container tasks which contains , data flow task, execute sql task, and moving the processed file to the desired destination.i want to set up a send mail task on the package level using event handler on error, where i have set up a task for looging the error to the error table , i have tried to collect all the error messages in a array list variable . and trying to use that variable a s a message source. i could not under stand if i set the propogation variable in the sequence container as false than will the onpost execute event will fire the onpostexecute event handler in the package level.if show how can i send only one email for all the errors of package with error looging.

The problem I'm having is that it keeps generating a false positive alert because MS SQL seems to treat the currently used value as the total allocated space for the database data file. For example, the data file is 100MB, it's currently using 60MB, and if I enter 80MB in the alert, it generates an email alert claiming the current size is 100MB. Could it be because the data file size is set to 100MB (since autogrowth is disabled)?

I receive the following error when trying to invoke xp_sendmail 'xp_sendmail: failed with mail error 0x80070005'. However, for alert notifications the email works fine. SQL is using an alias account to send mail. This account doesn't have any funny characters. Any ideas why the alert system works but xp_sendmail does not? The invokation of xp_sendmail is being done by SA.

I have problem using the sp msdb.dbo.sp_send_dbmail....it will give error like "the EXECUTE permission was denied on the object 'sp_send_dbmail', database 'msdb', schema 'dbo'". i am using godaddy...plz help me how to rectify the error...give me the full answer....

this is suppose to send email automatically to every email account that it will get from all the tables (around 250 tables).
the problem is its not sending, but if i try to take my code outside of the "SET @COUNTER = @COUNTER + 1 END" and close the if statement above, i can produce the correct result.. i'm thinking maybe its the positioning? but, there could be some overhauling needed to do with this.. sorry for posting the sp. sorry for the trouble.. please help me

The text file contains the non matching rows during lookup transform task.
I want to send this dynamically generated text file using the send email task.
But while doing this, I receive an error during package validation:
Package validation error:
Error at send email task [ send email task ] : either the file C:SSISErroroutput.txt does not exists or you do not have permission to access the file.

Please suggest as I need to generate the text file only in case of lookup failure.
