Taskpad

Sep 27, 2000

Hi, there,

After installing SQL7.0E on NT4.0E(SP6), I got a "Internet Explorer Script Error" on clicking the server name using MMC. Supposedly the Taskpad would show up in the right panel. owever, a error pop up saying "Line 5, Char 4, unspecified error, code 0, URL ...sqlmmc.rll/default.htm". It continued even after installing SP2.

Any suggestion or information is really appreciated.

Taskpad In SQL Server 2000

Dec 30, 2002

Hello,

I installed the MS SQL Server 2000, In Enterprise Manager of MS SQL 7.0 when you R Click on database you get the view option and you can select taskpad, which is very useful to know table size, database size allocated and used in graphical display, but with EM 2000 this feature is missing, Does any one knows how to get this graphical feature in EM 2000.

Thanks
Sejal

TaskPad Missing Table Info

Apr 5, 2001

Hi:

After I used "copy database" to upgrade a SQL 7 database to SQL 2000, all are fine except the TaskPad view. The table info section is blank. Though we know all tables are in the table object.

Any thought?

SQL 2000 Taskpad View/access

Feb 22, 2006

Hi there,

Not sure if this is possible but anyways. Need to restrict access on systems for users

and at the moment they are limited to being server and process administrators only.

This gives them enough room to do what they need to do, however the taskpad view in Enterprise manager only shows them the Log space used, not the datafiles.

The only way to get the TaskPad view to show the datafiles is to add them to the database creators role, which already gives them more permissions than they need.

So, just a shot in the dark but is there someway to get Taskpad view to show all the info there about the database?
