Hi,
When i use a preformated excel sheet as destination in data flow task, When a export is done a blank row appears in between the header and data i.e. row no 2.
Is there any way to remove the blank row.

I've come accross this code and need to alter it to display a normal General Date format.
CASE WHEN p.BIRTHDTTM IS NULL THEN ''
ELSE RIGHT('0' + LTRIM(CONVERT(VARCHAR(20), BIRTHDTTM, 113)) , 20)
END AS BIRTHDTTM
The original data (which is a DOB field) looks like this

And the code above is turning it into this which is good but means I cannot then format in SSRS

So ideally I'd like the code above to be altered so that it gives me

I have a temp table with the following columns and data

I use the rank function on that table and get the following results
select rank() over (order by DLR_ID,KPI_ID,BRND_ID ) Rown,* from #temp
I am interested only in Rown and Id columns. For each Rown number, I need to get the min(ID) in the second column and the duplicate ID should be in 3rd column as shown below.If i have 3 duplicate IDs , I should have 3 rows with 2nd column being the min(id) and 3rd column having one of the duplicate ids in ascending order(as shown in Rown=6)

now i am not being able to cross join this CTE with my table to get data party name wise and time interval wise. say for if no data exist for a specific time interval then it will show 0 but each party name should repeat for time interval 9:00:00 - 9:30:00 upto 17:30:00. i like to add what filter need to apply to get data for incoming, outgoing, call transfer and miss call.

Hi all, I am new to transact-sql and hoped that someone here might be able to help. I have a db with a field called "part" ... part contains text in the format:
xxxxx-xx-xxxxx
(the number of x's before or after each hyphen vary) such that I could have xxx-xxxxx-xxx as the part.
Someone wrote this transact-sql to take my current "part" field and move it to three different part fields ... a,b,c
If xxxxx-xx-xxxxx was the part in the original db, then a would contain xxxxx .. b contains xx ... c contains xxxxx
Make sense? Here is the code. It doesn't work and I can't seem to figure out why! It looks like it is just trying to find the hyphens and cut out the text from that... but it fails with an error that says "invalid length parameter passed to the substring function". Note, if I take off the "-1" from each line below... then the function works but produces the wrong data.

I would like to build a query that will return all the records in Table1 that will not match with records in table 2. All colums in table 1 have NULL values. Only one column is populated with state abreviations.

I would like to display a couple of records horizontally via a table or list, but don't think this is possible. Am I right? The given recordset should only have two records and the formatting would be much better if they were displayed left to right rather than one on top of the other. Is this just not possible with SSRS? The Calculation logic is lengthly and the number of records involved is huge.also, only the manager has authority to generate the Bill and rest of the team can view the bill report
So i cannot do the calculations while fetching the records, Bill has to be generated and stored. How do i write the query to fetch the data from the two tables "TripSheet" and "BillTripSheet" ? Please Help

below is some code I use to identify where a patient has attended the ED department whilst also admitted as an Inpatient. This report works fine. However while most of the results are recording issues to be corrected some of them are real and as so can be excluded from the report.
Is there a way I can build in an exclusion table which would include:

I want to get the list of items present in that order based on the confidentiality code of that product or Item and confidentiality code of the user.
I display the list of orders in first grid, by selecting the order in first grid I display the Items present in that order based on the confidentiality code of that item.
whenever order in 1st grid is selected i want to display the items that the item code should be less than or equal to the confidentiality code of the logged-in user other items should not display.
If the all the items present in the order having confidentiality code greater than Logged-in user at that time the order no# should not display in the first grid.

In the 70-461 objectives it says: Ensure code non regression by keeping consistent signature for procedure, views and function (interfaces); security implications...I think I understand what this means in general. They want us to be able to create a view that will still be able to call the original data even if the table is modified. In other words, the view table shouldn't easily be broken. ie, type a code that does NOT ensure non regression, then change the code so that it does ensure non regression.
